Todd: Typo/misremembering on my part, actually. The Formspring player spells it "Erlkoenig," and his account can be found here for any who dare to investigate further...

http://www.formspring.me/Erlkoenig

In addition to his standard child-abducting schtick, the Formspring version is also notable for being depicted as Mab's favored consort, and the father of both Oberon (by Mab) and Jareth the Goblin King (by the White Witch of Narnia fame). So far, his actions have been...earning the notoriety entailed with such credentials.

"Hello, I love you, won't you tell me your name..." - Jim Morrison of the Doors

Shouldn't that be "Erlking" rather than "Erkling"? (Of course, J. K. Rowling has used the former spelling - I don't know if that was an inadvertent typo, or if she wanted to distinguish it from the figure of Germanic legend.)

Man, 2010 was a crazy year. Remember when the monolith turned Jupiter into a star? Good times.

Spen: Ack, you wound us with such a barb! :P

...So as to prevent this post from being nothing more than a less-than-witty retort, though, here's some more "Greg Weisman" responses. Huzzah!

Erin: I feel like I know him from somewhere... Didn't we meet him at a truck stop one time, Benny?

Benny: Yeah, Erin...I think we did...

Or maybe we just remember his name from the Young Justice credits..

Claw: :D

Queen Mab: I have little interest in mortal bards. Kill him.

Apophis: *Apophis sneers, then without a word, snaps the questioner up and devours him in a single bite.*

Well that wasn't very filling...I need to go find a sun god. Where's Apollo? Didn't we capture him?

...The latter two come from some other anonymous soul who can log into Formspring, unlike my Facebook-less self; kudos to whomever that is, and if said person happens to be reading this, asking the question to the other Children of Mab would be quite helpful. :D

I'm particularly interested in hearing what the Erkling has to say on the subject...he's certainly standing out from the pack as easily the most terrifying member of Mab's Unseelie Court, and when the rest of the group includes monsters like Typhon, Apophis, and Ymir, that's something of an impressive accomplishment.

Todd: Hmm...interesting. I've had something of the same problem as Aldrius for a fair while now, so perhaps I'll pick up a couple of those titles for my birthday next week. I'm running low on reading material for my bus-rides, anyway. :D

Now, time for a good heap of "Greg Weisman" responses, courtesy of the still-buzzing Formspring scene...

Banshee: I care not about these mortals!

Thug: I like him. He's a good guy, and loves his kids.

Nicolas Flamel (a #13 in the Illuminati): A rather talented madman. Much like myself, actually...

Baron von Strucker: He is a Jew and I am the leader of a neo-nazi terrorist organisation, what do you think my opinion of him is?

Deadpool: Greg Weisman? Didn't I run trucks with him? No, that guy called himself Edmund...or Eddie...or Ed. No, he is vengeance, he is the night, he is GREG WEISMAN! No, he was sent to Earth from his dying world, and under the yellow Sun he has powers beyond any mortal man. No, wait, does he have radioactive blood? Can he swing from a web? He does whatever a spider can. He's Greg Weisman! No that's not right. Oh wait! He did that show about about those guys with wings that saved people. I liked that show...why did they ever cancel it?

And now, thanks to the next guy - an invention of the Terrible Tinkerer on behalf of Thomeheb - we've got a fair few "MST3K Mantra" characters to add to the list...

TUCAP (Trans-Universal Cyber-Automated Probe): *Eye lens blinks, leaving the questioner feeling a bit silly for asking a robotic drone what it thinks of a popular animation writer*

Avatar Aang: I've heard good things about him.

Gwen Tennyson: I liked W.I.T.C.H., especially Will.

Aquaman (Brave and the Bold version): Certain projects shall be seen through or the Brothers Warner and I shall have "words".

And finally, for our last category...well, for all who have been following the Formspring storylines, you've probably noticed that Queen Mab and her Unseelie Court have been set free, and are currently wreaking havoc on Avalon (and very soon, the mortal world as well). Unfortunately, most of their accounts - Mab herself included - are locked from receiving anonymous questions, but three of them remained open, and to them I have (rather foolishly, based on their responses) posed the question as well...

Typhon: I hear he made a character named Ekidna...

Balor: INSOLENT WRETCH!!

*Balor vaporizes the questioner with a single blast from his eye*

Huitzilopochtli: *With a single swift motion, the Hummingbird rips out the impudent mortal's still beating heart and proceeds to chow down*

...Ow.

ALDRIUS - One other book I forgot to mention: Roger Lancelyn Green's "King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table". It's a great summary of the story of Arthur from start to finish - but I'd recommend it even more to anyone in this forum since it's one of Greg Weisman's main sources on matters Arthurian (in particular, it's where he got Blanchefleur) and therefore a must-read for "Gargoyles" fans wanting to learn more about King Arthur.

"Noo... you remember boy. How I turned defeat into victory! How I left you with a dying system..."

I finally understand "Posession" after watching the episode several times: Xanatos designed the robotic bodies to house ColdStone's three personalities. Broadway, Angela and Brooklyn wound up with them instead. Puck and Alex infiltrated the clock tower posing as Goliath and Hudson. Lex questioned "Goliath's" ability to cast magic spells. He had every reason to ask since Goliath doesn't know any magic spells. Lex also knew something had gone wrong.

I've found it pays off to listen to the dialogue.

ALDRIUS - If you can find a copy (it's probably out of print, but many good libraries may have it), I suggest Richard Cavendish's "King Arthur and the Grail", which summarizes the Arthurian legend and its chief stories. Geoffrey Ashe has written several fine books on King Arthur, though they focus more on the possible history behind the legend than on the legend itself (they do contain some of the latter, however).
Todd Jensen - [merlyn1@mindspring.com]

Hey guys, my interest in Arthurian lore has begun to be piqued lately. But uh, with all the different interpretations and such out there I'm having trouble trimming the fat so to speak.

Figured this would be a good place to come to ask for a good resource to find something fairly cohesive.

Braniac> I see. Interesting that you compare Demona and Katrina. Because QfG4 reminds me of "The Hound of Ulster," I've always thought of Katrina as being more like The Banshee (with the Hero being like Rory, not Goliath).

The thing about Katrina is that while she is a tragic character like Demona, I don't think she's fallen quite as much as Demona has. As far as we know, she hasn't sunk to mass murder, and she doesn't hate humans. She just does terrible things because she's so tired of living as a vampire, just like The Banshee does terrible things because she doesn't want to go back to Avalon. I guess that isn't the best comparison, but I think Banshee is closer to Katrina than Demona is. I guess it's also because of how both stories are written, with Katrina/Banshee being this sweet, innocent girl who's your friend, and then slowly realizing that she's this sinister, supernatural being underneath.

Heya, I know the guys who work on GargWiki come on here so I just wanted to shout out how much I love it! I love the new domain too because I can guess the links and go straight to an article (like typing in gargwiki.net/tom will redirect me to http://gargwiki.net/Guardian) you guys are awesome!

I wanted to let someone with permission know that the link to SLG on the front page is broke (went to find the link to put on my newest picture on dA... which by the way has the Sphinx fanart I talked about last week. Went with a tan because that's as close as my cheap colored pencils could get to burnt sienna haha!)

Phoenician> Mine too, but my dad's personal favorite is Blazing Saddles. He saw it when it was first in theaters and he remembers someone LITERALLY rolling in the aisle.

Antiyonder> I own a fair number of Telltale's games (Tales of Monkey Island is my personal favorite). Most fans of adventure games agree that the BttF games are ridiculously easy, almost insultingly so. However, if all you really care about is the story, it's been quite impressive so far. The lack of challenge can be a major sticking point, though (especially in the eternal casual vs. hardcore debate).

Off-topic, but has anyone here played Back to the Future: The Game?

Going with some fans of the game, the gameplay isn't the strongest. Though some objectives can be pretty fun. For example, Episode 3 and 4 are fun on the grounds that you get to break some rules, or for that matter messing around in Emmett's lab (plus giving every available character Algae Cakes).

Top point is the continuation of the Back to the Future story. As I mentioned on other sites, when I first saw the trilogy as a whole, I didn't really care if we got anymore continuations or not. But after this, I'm almost hoping that we might get another game or heck even a comic. And since the preview likened the ending of Episode 5 to the end of the first film, I imagine it might set up for more adventures.

As mentioned on the preview, Michael J. Fox will be doing some voice work on the final episode. A Telltale blog said that one of the character's voiced will be someone who appeared in the trilogy. So my proverbial money is on:
Marty's Great Grandfather, William McFly. He looks like Marty. He was depicted by MJF, and would likely be alive by 1931.
