What were <some of> your plans for the Mutates <specifically Claw, but not necessarily just him>?

Greg responds...

Wing, Wing, Wing, Wing, Wing...

Same deal. This is not the format or forum for novel-length responses.

As I've mentioned many times, Fang would join the Redemption Squad.

Claw, Talon and Maggie the Cat would remain in the Labyrinth.

Wolf (who's also a mutate technically) would join the Ultra-Pack.

I ahve some questions about BAD GUYS-
1. Do they have a uniform that they all wear that is similar, or do they appear as they did in the series?
2. Was the Director in the leica reel? If so, could you describe him visually ?
That's it for now, thanks

Greg responds...

1. We gave them all a similar look in the Leica reel, which you can see at the Gathering this summer in Orlando.

2. The Director was in the Leica reel. He just looked like a man in a suit. (It wasn't necessarily his final model.) But William Devane did a great job on his voice.

Just how long was Talon planning on keeping Fang in a cell?

Greg responds...

You know, I never bothered to figure that out. I think they had some kind of trial and a punishment was meted out (loosely based on New York State law. But since I knew that first Demona and Thailog, and later Sevarius would bust Fang out. And that Fang would ultimately wind up in the Redemption Squad, I never bothered to decide the length of time that Fang WOULDN'T end up having to serve.

I'm always hesitant to reveal things like that. Like admitting that every detail WASN'T etched in stone, somehow destroys the magical mystical illusion that everything on the show did tie together. But...

Dear Mr. Wiseman:

What became of the new hunters right after the end of Gargoyles' 2nd Season? I mean did Jason and her sister went to jail for destroying the police station? Was their other brother responsible for creation the Quarrymen? Did the Quarrymen forced Jason to use his technology on the Gargoyles? Did Jason became a civil rights activist or what?
I hope I'm not asking to much. I'm just curious.

Greg responds...

Jason went to a halfway house where he could rehab and serve out his sentence under some semblance of restriction.

Robyn was coerced into leading the Redemption Squad (aka Bad Guys).

Jon changed his name to John Castaway and became the founder of the Quarrymen.

Jason would be the subject of Jon, Robyn and Elisa's on-going interest -- as he personally struggled to redirect his life.

1. Would the Canmore as Hunter's dynasty still exist in some form in 2158?

2. Would we have seen Canmore/Castaway descendents in G2158?

Greg responds...

1 & 2. The Canmores would be gone. But the Monmouths and the Castaways would survive -- in opposition.

The Quarrymen would still exist.

How did you get Tom Wilson and Sheena Easten for the show? Did they come to you, did you call them?

Greg responds...

Tom auditioned for one or more of the Trio. He wasn't right, but I really liked him, and I suggested him to Jamie Thomason when we created Matt.

I am now a HUGE Tom Wilson fan. I created the role of Pete Costas in MAX STEEL with Tom in mind. (Originally it was a bigger role, but the WB cut it back. He's still great in it though.) And I think the work he's doing on NBC's FREAKS & GEEKS is brilliant. He does so much with so little. Taking a cliche that we've seen a hundred times before (remember Robert Picardo in THE WONDER YEARS) and investing it with so much humanity. I can't tell you how great I think he is. Someone should really give this guy his own live action show.

As for Sheena, she was my original choice for Princess Katharine. She wasn't available and Kath Soucie who I had never worked with before was terrific. But Sheena was always in my head to give something to. Finella seemed a great opportunity. So we brought her in. She was great. So we brought her back. She was astounding as Molly/Banshee, so we brought her back again. I was prepared to build the entire BAD GUYS series around her and Jim Cummings (with some help from Jeff Bennett, Jim Belushi and William Devane) but I couldn't sell it. I tried to cast her in as Molly McGrath in Max Steel, but again she wasn't available.

But I'd work with either Tom or Sheena again, anyday.

Would Dingo have any family members who would factor into BAD GUYS somehow?

Greg responds...

Yes. Definitely.

Aurora Kinsclan: THE Jackal Lover writes...

Greg,

A little while back, someone in the fandom told me that according to you, Dingo's real name is something along the lines of "Henry Monsmouth". Is this true?

Also, Did you ever plan to do any background information on Pack members Jackal and Hyena? Do they have official real names as well?

Greg responds...

Harry Monmouth, actually.

As for Jackal and Hyena... No. I'm not sure why. All I can say is that info hasn't come to me yet. Or more accurately, hasn't been revealed to me yet.

Do you have voice actors in mind for some of the characters in the unmade spinoffs? Do you have any in mind specifically for Katana, Nashville, Tachi, Duval, The Director, and Merlin?

Greg responds...

The Director was cast in our Animatic reel for Bad Guys. He was William Devane. And he was great as anyone who has attended a Gathering could attest to.

As for the others... No. Hadn't thought that far in advance.

Dear Mr.Weisman,
I have a kazillion questions but I'll try to keep from going over five.

1)What did you have planed for a)Max Loew and the Golem?
b)Cuchulain?
c)Natsilane?

2)Would King Arthur have recruited any more new knights besides Griff?

3)Would Sora, Taro, Vinnie, Talon, or the Pack have appeared in "Bad Guys"?

4)Finnaly, would the Clones become more intelligent or would they stay dirt stupid?

Thank you very much.

Greg responds...

These are kinda all on separte topics, but....

1a. No immediate big plans, but I had some adventure stuff in mind.

1b. Adventure and romance.

1c. See 1a.

2. Eventually, but not right away. I didn't want the cast of a quest show to grow too big or unwieldy.

3. Sora and the Pack definitely. Taro & Vinnie, maybe. Talon. Doubtful. (At least not in my immediate plans.)

4. They were never dirt stupid. They were dirt ignorant. There's a huge difference. And in my plan, they would have been educated.
