DC HERO asked if you could include the Music Meister in YJ and your answer was " It's been done". Does that mean we will be seeing him in the future? And will it be this season?

Greg responds...

When I said, "It's been done," I was referring to Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

As for our series: SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT.

You probably did not participate in this episode of Batman Brave and the Bold, but who is the Pencil Guy at the club when Joker comes and meets the Weeper?

Greg responds...

I don't have a clue what you're talking about.

I thought you were supposed to write the Captain Atom episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold originally, but when the episode ("Powerless!") aired in the UK in August, I saw that you were credited for contributing the story idea, but you didn't write the script. How did you go from writing it to Kevin Hopps and Todd Casey writing it, if you don't mind me asking?

By the way, "Powerless!" was good, but I think "Requiem for a Scarlet Speedster!" was better. It's one of my favourite episodes of that show, actually.

Greg responds...

I'm a little bit busy on this show called Young Justice...

Me again Greg, I've got a few Batman: The Brave and the Bold questions:

1.Why did you let Jeff Glen Bennett reprised his role as Abra Kadabra from B:TBATB onto YJ?

2.Is Captain Atom your favourite male DC hero?

3.Have you heard that James Tucker, Michael Jelenic and JM DeMatteis have all expressed interests in doing a Justice League: International animated series spin-off?

4.Out of all the Justice League: International members I've listed, who do you think is the funniest and why? Green Lantern/Guy Gardner, Booster Gold, Blue Beetle/Jaime Reyes, Aquaman.

Greg responds...

1. I didn't know Jeff played Abra on B&B. But it's a non-issue to me.

2. Probably. Though there are a ton I love.

3. No, haven't heard that. But I'm sure it would be great.

4. If we're talking about B&B, I haven't seen any episodes with the JLI.

Hey Greg. I was just wondering if you were a Blockbuster fan? Not of the rental store, but of the DC Comics villain. I ask this because the episodes you wrote featured him in it. For example, in the Batman episode Meltdown, which you wrote, I noticed Mark Desmond was the chief scientist working on trying to cure Ethan Bennett. Blockbuster also appeared on Batman: Brave and the Bold. He was in the teaser for Death Race to Oblivion, which you wrote. FInally, he appeared on Young Justice, great premier by the way, which you wrote and produced. I'm a bit of a Blockbuster fan to so I just wanted to know if you were? Thanks for taking the time to read this and keep up the good work.

Greg responds...

I do like Blockbuster, although his appearance in B&TB, at least, originated with Producers Michael Jelenic and James Tucker, who came up with the entire story for that episode (including the Teaser).

I can't remember if, on The Batman, it was story editor Duane Capizzi or myself who decided to use Desmond. Could have been either of us.

But it was definitely my idea to include Desmond/Blockbuster in YJ.

Are we going to expect more Disney voice actors to be working on Young Justice like Jim Cummings for example?

BTW did you know that is really Ron Stoppable voicing Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) on B:TBTB. Best portrayal of the third and current Blue Beetle EVER!

Greg responds...

Are there ANY other portrayals of the Reyes/Blue Beetle?

Anyway, I'm sure there'll be plenty of overlap.

Will Jason Marsden and Will Friedle reprise their roles from Batman: Brave and the Bold onto Young Justice (I understand Speedy has already been taken) or do I have to wait and see?
They did a very perfect job at voicing those lesser known DC characters from that show and they really deserved to voice them again in future DC cartoons and movies.

Greg responds...

I don't know who Jason and Will played in B&TB...?

I was just wondering have you seen any of DC Universe movies that have been released since 2007? And if so what did you think of them?

Also you've written a few episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold, do you watch that show regularly?

Greg responds...

I've seen a handful of the DC releases, and generally thought highly of them.

I watched ALL the Brave & the Bolds at first, but lately I haven't had the time to see all but a few.

Is there any recurring voice talents from Batman: The Brave and the Bold on Young Justice, or is it too early to confirm it?

Greg responds...

I'm sure there are. But I won't pretend to be intimately familiar with all the voice talent on B&TB.

I guess calling for patience is out of the question...

Hey Greg,
I am really looking forward to Young Justice. My question is more of a personal one. Basically, how happy are you truly to be working on YJ? Yes, you're happy to have a gig again but are you really passionate about this show as you were for your past stuff? And do you feel YJ will have enough legs to get past 26 episodes? I know I can't wait to see it and I feel this has the makings of being something very special.

One final thing I want to touch on is that I want to applaud you on the script you did for Batman: The Brave and the Bold. I thought "Requiem for a Scarlet Speedster!" was FANTASTIC! I really enjoyed it.

Thanks so much for all you do.

Later.

Greg responds...

Thanks. Speedster was really the brainchild of the B&TB brain trust, James and Michael, but I was very proud to be handed the story and tried my best to do it justice. I was very pleased with how it came out. I'm glad you were too.

As for your Young Justice question... I'm resisting the temptation to find it insulting. I KNOW that wasn't your intent. (Though if you think about it, you might see why that's my knee-jerk reaction.) So, flat-out: I'm extremely enthusiastic and passionate about this series. I think we're doing great work, and I think/hope the audience will agree. There's no doubt in my mind that I could continue to do this series LONG after the corporate types decide they're through.
