Hi Greg!

I just finished watching Coldhearted, and thought it was great (as was Misplaced, BTW... loved Billy). I was expecting Wally to have a bigger reaction to the reveal of Miss M and Superboy's relationship, but this made perfect sense, demonstrating the superficiality of his feelings. The episode's final act was especially well-written, I thought... I was suckered into believed that the queen was dead BOTH times! My only small complaint is Wally's final line... bit of a groaner. But he is kind of a cheeseball, so I guess it fits.

A couple questions:

1. Do Conner Kent and Megan Morse have legal guardians? If so, can you tell us who they are?
2. I assume you get first dibs on which episodes you get to write. Were there any you were especially excited about? Were there any you wanted to write but couldn't, for whatever reason?

Thanks for your time!

Greg responds...

1. ASKED AND ANSWERED.

Allow me to shower you with praise. Coldhearted was excellent. I cannot believe I ignored this show until my nephew wanted to watch it one day. At first I was skeptical, that "just another kid cartoon" feeling, so I was only half paying attention. But something got to me and I started watching it seriously. And now, here I am, looking forward to it every week with enough enthusiasm to now get me out of bed on a Saturday morning. Cartoon Network needs to stop throwing hiatuses at you, this show is too good for that.

My nephew is five and loves the show too, though he doesn't always understand what's going on. But, he's five, so I do my best to explain things in ways he can understand. I'm glad there's a show that he likes that enriches him rather than just keeps him occupied, and it's something we can watch together(seriously, most of his other shows make me want to pull my hair out)

So thank you for making this show.

Greg responds...

You're very welcome!

Firstly, I would like to say I am a Brobdingnagian fan of Young Justice. My best friend calls my adoration for your show a disturbing obsession, I chose to ignore that interruption because it implies that my love for the show is somehow unhealthy, and that's just ridiculous. After all my best friend also questioned my love of W.I.T.C.H, so clearly he can't understand. But on a serious note, I am truly grateful for all the work and creativity you and your team put into the show. As someone who grew on the Justice League Unlimited am so glad there is finally a show like it, but yet so different and fresh. The quality of the writing and animation make Young Justice so much more than just a cartoon, it is quality storytelling and a heck of a good time.

My question is on the Young Justice comic tie-ins. During the break between season 1 and season 2, will the comic continue coming out or will it also take a break?

On a side note, am from a small country called Zambia in Southern Africa; so Mr Weisman, take pride in knowing that even in this small corner of the world, your show has an obsessed fanboy.

Greg responds...

There really was - as it turns out - any break between the airing of Seasons One and Two. The comic's still going, break free also.

And thanks!

Hello Greg! I was wondering, how exactly did Kid Flash and Artemis end up in that shack in the first place? (in Bereft)

After getting zapped, they stumbled off into the desert. KF woke up first and found this masked girl (Artemis) unconscious in the desert, so he pulled her into the shack to get her (and him) out of the heat.

Aris Katsaris writes...

I loved 'Misplaced', I think it was the best episode of the series yet. Some questions about it then.

1) In 'Misplaced', there's a scene where Billy Batson climbs a fence to get in that airbase... and then the 'camera' zooms out, and we see there's a wide-open door to that fence, only 10 meters away or so.

I laughed out loud when I noticed it, but if it was intentional it was played so subtly that I didn't *actually* notice it when I first watched the ep.

So my question: Was that an intentional visual joke, or just a goof of the animation?

2) Was the character of Amber a pre-existing character from the Captain Marvel comics, or a new creation?

3) Was she friends/acquaintances with Billy Batson, or did he just meet her in the ep?

Greg responds...

1. Of course, it was intentional.

2. She was pre-existing, though not from Captain Marvel comics specifically.

3. SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT.

Hi, firstly I wanted to say I really love the series and YJ has come back with two great episodes! Misplaced and Coldhearted were wonderful, and I loved how you developed the relationship between Zatanna and Zatarra, as well as getting a more indepth look into Wally. So excited for the rest of the season!

I have one question, I read somewhere that the story taking place in Young Justice would take place over a few days in-universe, is this true? I'm not really sure if this counts as requesting a spoiler (which probably sound stupid), but if so then I apologise.

Greg responds...

If you've been watching the series, you KNOW that the first season took place over a single period of six months, between Independence Day and New Year's Eve.

And as I've already stated here and in the press, the second season ALSO takes place over a coherent six month period: between New Years Day and Independence Day. It's just that five years pass in between the two six month periods.

And I'm warning you now: our plans for Season Three - if we get one - involve another time skip between the last episode of Season Two and the first of Season Three. Though, I'm not going to state how long a time skip. (So don't ask.)

I noticed that on this week's Young Justice episode "Coldhearted" that Batman explained that Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart were 'offworld' and unable to help. Now that there's a GL:TAS airing with YJ on DC Nation, are you prevented from using GL associated characters on YJ? If so, is it a similar situation to the 'bat embargo' that was placed on Justice League Unlimited when The Batman started airing?

Greg responds...

No, not at all. There's no embargo. I'll admit that we often use the excuse (especially in Season One) of our Lanterns being offworld - but it's because they're SO powerful, they could potentially solve all problems between the two of them. But I also feel in-universe justified about this, because they have an entire sector to police, not just Earth.

where were all the ice fortresses located, hovering over particular cities? or were they mobile to cover more ground. was the entire USA covered, or only the northern half?

Greg responds...

I think all that information is IN the episode itself, between dialogue and timestamps. (And all I'd be doing is going through the script and looking at dialogue and timestamps, so I think you can manage it by looking at the episode.)

Pretty much all of North America's weather patterns were affected between the antics of the five fortresses.

In downtime, it was revealed that Aqualad does not live in Atlantis since joining the team. I was wondering, where does he live while on the surface? cuz it was never implied that he lives in mount justice and I dont believe that he does.

And i was also wondering, why didn't he just remain in Atlantis and continue his studies there, inbetween his missions? Everyone except Miss M and Superboy still live in their homes, continue their schoolwork, and can travel via Zeta tubes to the base. Why can't Aqualad also stay in Atlantis, practice in his sourcery school, and travel via Zeta tubes to the base, when almost all the other members already do that already?

Alright, I'm probably overthinking this, but I was curious about how the spell in "Misplaced" worked. It split the world into two dimensions, one for adults and one for children. I assumed it was based on physical difference (which is why the ageless Klarion ended up with the children and Billy-as-Captain-Marvel went with the adults). But Amber switching over at midnight once she turned 18 seemed to throw that out the window. So, was it simply psychological? Did Klarion and the others designate 18 as an arbitrary "cutoff point" for adulthood when casting? Or is it something else entirely?

(Again, probably overthinking, but it's been bothering me. Oh, and great job on the show, of course. I'm really loving it!)

Hello Greg,
In "Coldhearted", Batman mentioned that "both Green Lanterns were offworld". But we have seen three Green Lanterns. John Stewart in multiple episode, Guy Gardner in "Revelation", and Hal Jordan in the simulation in "Failsafe". You could also count Alan Scott from flashbacks. Could he have meant that there are two Green Lanterns that are officially part of the JLA? Could it be because Batman does not like one of the Green Lanterns, a "One-Punch incident"? Or could it be a mistake by one of the scriptwriters?

Again, really great work by you and your cast and crew on Young Justice. Just looking to eat up some more of your time with questions and commentary.

1. I liked your take on the Riddler; the jacket and tie is a nice change from the suit or spandex with bowler that he typically wears. I also thought it did a great job of showing a casualwear look that is still leaves him instantly recognizable.

2. This might just be me reading too closely into things but I noticed that the designs for the Joker and Riddler seem to take cues from musical subcultures. The Joker's design seems to me very Mod inspired while the Riddler wouldn't look out of place in a rockabilly band. Was this an intentional design choice or a simple coincidence?

I've been a fan of the new 52 and I was wondering if there are any plans to incorporate the new universe by any means into Young Justice.
I do know a similar question was asked if new 52 will change the whole YJ and you said no, but I'm wondering if there would be any elements taken from the current comics in future seasons or would you guys rule out the possibilities?

Also, I'm wondering if the team only accepts legacy characters like kid flash, aqualad, red robin and heroes like that because all the current heroes have their adult counterpart, so I'm wondering if it is a criteria to join the team only if they're connected to the Justice League.

Lastly, thanks for the great work. I love Young Justice and the only thing that could make it better is that we get even more Young Justice.
Thanks.

I have a question about "Coldhearted". Batman said that both Green Lanterns were off world. (I'm assuming he means Hal and John.) What about Guy Gardner? He's a Green Lantern and we saw him in "Revelations". I guess I'm just trying to figure out why Batman didn't count Guy as a Green Lantern.

anyways, I LOVE the show and hate that I have to wait a week between shows and a month between comics. Keep up the awesome work! Oh and thanks for giving Wonder Woman the power of flight. :) She should have it and it bothers me when people take that power away from her.

Guy's not a member of the League, and Batman has no jurisdiction over him or consistent way to track his whereabouts, especially if Guy's offworld.

"Coldhearted" was awesome! I actually thought Perdita died for a moment, and I was just as surprised as Vertigo when the curtain was pulled.

Questions:

1. Why did Vandal Savage distract KF himself? Is there any reason(s) he didn't send someone else to do it?
2. Does Vertigo know Savage is the leader of The Light? And does he know the identities of any of its other members?

Greg responds...

1. Why not?

2. Savage is NOT the leader of the Light. But Vertigo knows Savage is a member of the Light. Beyond that, I'm not going to comment.

More a philosophical question than one about any of your work (although it does relate to some of your characters):
What is your opinion of Friedrich Nietzche's quote "He who fights monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you"? How do you think it relates to superheroes, and characters who struggle against "evil" in general? I'm very interested in your input on the subject.

I buy into it 100%. Doesn't mean every good guy goes bad, but every good guy's going to - at the very least - have those moments where it could go either way.

Coldhearted

"Young Justice" goes single focus this week with an episode centering square on our favorite obnoxious speedster, Wally West. As far as character development goes, I think Wally especially needed an episode like this. I wasn't disappointed. I think we can all relate on one level, no matter how old we get, we all want our birthdays to be special, even if we say we don't. Did Wally's go well? Sure... in the end. It looks like he's finally maturing. More on that in a bit.

Artemis is my favorite character on The Team, and I loved that moment where she decided to spill the beans to Wally about Miss Martian and Superboy being an item. That she chose to deflate him like this was so mean, and yet you can't feel too bad for him because he really had it coming. I like to think Wally choosing not to dwell on it is another mark that he's maturing. This episode was all about him learning how to prioritize.

I thought his cross country run was fun to watch. Now, I am sure some people will complain that he can't move at the speed of light, or however fast the character can run in the comics, but I don't like my heroes and villains to be overpowered, it removes the tension if, say, Superman is strong enough to move planets, or the Hulk can prevent the entire continent of Australia from ripping in half. I saw one person ask why the closest available heart for a patient in Seattle was all the way in Boston, but I would hope most would remember that hearts with matching blood types for complex transplants don't grow on trees.

Let's talk about the villains for a moment. Vandal Savage was fun to watch for his brief scene, slowing down Wally. This guy is just a beast. He really lives up to his name, and I enjoyed hearing Miguel Ferrer's voice again. I also thought it was fun that this didn't seem to be his plan, so much as he was doing a favor for Count Vertigo. Actually, I wonder if this was Savage returning a favor, since Vertigo acted as his proxy in the Injustice League back in "Revelation." I would say that I hope we see more of Vandal, but I know we are going to.

But the true villain of the piece had to be Count Vertigo. I'm not too familiar with Vertigo, but he was a great villain in this episode. It was just diabolical in its simplicity. Have The Light distract both the Justice League and The Team, slow down Kid Flash, and let Queen Perdita die so he can become king. And, I'm going to be honest, considering just how dark this series has gotten, and how successful the villains have been... I actually believed he won. I thought the episode would end wit The Light declaring their triumph that they have an ally of theirs on the throne of Vlatava. So, I was as surprised as Vertigo was when the curtain was pulled back.

I suppose the only question left is, how did The Light pull off freezing half of the country? They have control of Belle Reve, so it's conceivable they could sneak the ice villains in and out. Is that what they did, or were they using advanced tech from Apokolips? Well, I guess we'll find out soon.

The animation in this episode was just stunning, particularly the snow effects. I hope for a Blu-ray release.

Greg responds...

Psst. It was the five ice guys.

To whom it may concern,

I'm absolutely loving the show so far and can't wait for the impending series 1 finale. I just had a few minor, nitpicky questions!

1) In Targets, when Cheshire impersonates the tea girl at the ceremony, was there a real server she mugged and replaced offscreen or something?

2) I guess similar to the first, in the most recent episode, "Coldhearted", why weren't there any doctors or police officers waiting in front of the Seattle hospital for Kid Flash like there were in Boston? Were they taken out offscreen by Vertigo's henchmen?

3) I know you've talked about plotting for the comics and the TV series, but without spoiling anything, if a character who has not yet appeared in the show was designed by Chris Jones in the comic book, does that mean they won't be appearing in the show period (as of now) or that they simply might have a different design? Because I saw an interview where he said he was given free reign on a few characters like Talia al Ghul and Ubu (and I think the previous artist said something similar about Psycho Pirate?).

Sorry for all the questions, and I hope you and the others keep up the great work!

Greg responds...

1. Yes.

2. Well, Dr. Cross came outside - but it was cold, and he went back into the lobby. For the rest, I'll leave it to your imagination.

3. At least one of the characters first designed by Chris for the comic will be appearing in the show. Phil did his own version of it, but kept it consistent with Chris' take - keeping in mind that five years have passed. Phil and Chris are both fans of each other's work.

Just getting into YJ. I love the romantic aspects of the show so don't ever feel you have to apologize for it to anyone. Like the Robin and Zatanna thing. Miss Martian and Superboy are okay. She's just a little too sugary for my linking and she was crushing from day one. Oh well they are kids so, understandable but I have a soft spot for Wally. I am really hoping if Donna Troy comes into this show she and Wally hook up. If it is Cassie...drama!lol.

Is Selina Kyle in this verse? I would so love to see her or Talia. I like when Batman falls for women he can't control or run from. Is he as bad as he generally is at relationships as he is in he comics and the other cartoon on this earth? He seems not too bad. Seems much lighter here.

Are Superman and Wonder Woman together? They seem to have a little something going on when I watched the pilot. It was very subtle but you could not miss it and must admit I liked it. Poor Superman, getting so much condemnation and I am sure he needs someone who understands the situation to give him a hug. Anyway thanks for the good job.

* How old is Dudley?
* Is he Billy's uncle, or his guardian (or both?)
* What does/did he do for a living? I noticed a poster in Misplaced, he looks like some circus magician.
* Why didn't he have any lines in Misplaced? You had Corey Burton in the cast, after all

Greg responds...

1. Dudley is 65 at the end of Season One.

2. He is Billy's legal guardian. They're not actually related by blood, but Billy calls him "Uncle Dudley". And Dudley certainly is avuncular.

3. He's had many jobs over the years. Now, he's eligible for Social Security. Plus he takes odd jobs, and is something of a scammer.

4. Well, we didn't think he NEEDED any lines, but this is a good question generally, and provides me the opportunity to explain how the system works - at least on our series.

All our actors - Corey included, of course - share a similar contract, with a favored nation clause. That means whatever deal one actor gets, if it's superior to what the other actors have, they ALL get it. That sounds great, but it has the reverse effect. It means the studio is NEVER willing to pay extra for anything or anyone, because if they do - then they have to match it for EVERY actor in the series, and that's just not budget-friendly.

So that means every actor - whether they're famous or a first-timer - gets the exact same deal.

And, per SAG (i.e. the Screen Actor's Guild), here's the deal:

*For a specific amount of money (that, NO, I will not state - so don't ask), we get an actor to play ONE character per episode.
*For no additional money, we can ask that actor to play a SECOND character in the same episode.
*For a SMALL additional fee, we can ask that actor to play a THIRD character in the same episode. (The budget allows for this small additional fee, so you'll often see us use one actor for three voices in a given episode.)
*But if we want a FOURTH character, we have to pay the actor from scratch. A full second payment.

So, it costs us no more or no less to hire ANOTHER actor to play that fourth character as it would to ask an actor already in the cast to play that fourth. And if we hire that other actor, we can get him or her to play a FIFTH character for free, and a SIXTH for that small additional fee. So there's no economic insentive to give one actor more than three roles.

Now, we're not above doing it when it's warranted. For example, if we needed Superboy, Superman, Zatara and Marvin White in one episode, I wouldn't hesitate to pay Nolan North two full payments to get them. BUT - and here's where your original Corey question comes in - if we could get away with Marvin appearing WITHOUT speaking, then that would save us some money, and it's a path we might take.

SO, with Corey, we NEEDED him to play Brain, James Gordon and Wizard. That's three voices. We didn't need Dudley to speak, so we saved some money there.

Hello, Mr. Greg Weisman,

I'm back with posting #9. I wasn't able to post yesterday (the day before this posting) because I had a technical issue and wasn't able to use the internet. But now I am able to today. Here's my new set of questions.

1. I was wondering if you could tell me what the specifics of each part of Earth-16 Batman’s batsuit are? This question was inspired by watching the Christopher Nolan film Batman Begins and its sequel, The Dark Knight. These two movies did a great job in explaining/showing the functions of each part of Batman’s suit (the gloves, the cape, the suit, the belt, the gauntlets, etc.). If you’ve ever watched these two movies, you probably have a vague idea on what I’m trying to say. Also, could you tell me whether this is Batman’s only batsuit on Earth-16, or does he have more than one?

2. If Billy Baston is depicted as 10 years old, THEN when he transforms into Captain Marvel, what is the EXACT age difference between his adult and child form? An exact number for his adult age would actually be extremely helpful at this point.

3. Where did you come up with the idea to allow Captain Marvel to hug Batman and Zatara? Has he ever done that before…? But seriously, that was downright funny, and I laughed like mad! Just for fun, when Captain Marvel gave the hug, what were Batman and Zatara thinking at that very moment?

4. When exactly did Wonder Woman decided to leave the island of Themyscira, and what important events happened to her between that time and 2003?

5. I am a person who believes that when I see things that may have something in common with another, there are absolutely no coincidences. First, in the DC relaunch, the first Justice League story arc established that in 2006 (chronologically in the mainstream DCnU), Darkseid invaded Earth (because he was searching for his daughter at that time). Second, it has been revealed via information on the internet about one of the new DC relaunch titles, “Earth Two,” which is coming in May, that the parallel Earth-2 (which is much different from before the DC relaunch) was known to have been under threat by Apokolips (and not necessarily by Darkseid himself). Third, we have Young Justice: Invasion, which is the second season of the cartoon series that you announced a long time ago, that has our main characters needing to prepare to fight against an invasion. Is there some common theme that I am seeing?! Is Earth-16 going to be under threat by the upcoming Apokolips?! Or is it just my imagination…? Your response will hopefully help to tell me how accurate I am.

Thanks for taking the time to read my questions. As always, keep up the good work.

Greg responds...

1. I'm honestly not sure what you're asking me here, and I have seen both those movies. But he does have more than one suit, in case he spills something.

2. ASKED AND ANSWERED.

3. Just seemed in character for him at that moment. I think Zatara was annoyed, and Batman was already a couple steps ahead, focusing on what this all meant.

4a. ASKED AND ANSWERED.

4b. You gotta be kidding me. You expect me to post her entire biography here?

5. SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT. Other than to say that as I've been ASKED AND ANSWERED before, the goings-on over at DC haven't had any effect on us one way or the other, because we were already too far along.

So, I know that this is right before yet another episode, but, I just had to come say stuff.

You have two episodes that have simply blown my face off. Failsafe (my brain practically melted out of my head, I was so amazed) and Misplaced (I can't even describe my feelings for this episode). That doesn't happen very often from an animated show.

I really adore how you all have been portraying the teen/adult dynamic. It's not the cliche rebellious teens vs. overly righteous and/or idiotic adults, but it's much more...realistic. Well, as realistic as supers can be. You all do such an excellent job of getting into a teenage mindset, and that really impresses me.

M'gann, from what I can tell, either gets a lot of hate, or a lot of love. Personally, I was in the gray area, not quite sure if I liked her being around, or what. I knew I liked her "Hello, Megan!" catch phrase, and I liked that she based a lot of her knowledge off of tv (makes sense). But, now that we've seen more of her, I've come to really appreciate her as a character. She's got her reasons for her personality, and, sure, she's got some naivety, but she's also not a weak damsel in distress - and you all manage to pull that last bit off without making her come across as masculine! Which I love.

Artemis is kind of a big deal to me. I generally hate female characters like her. The strong, tough-girl who doesn't need anyone's help because she can do this, and has a major attitude. So, yes, I was less than thrilled when Artemis was introduced. But, like with M'gann, more came along, and ya'll showed up with little moments (I really warmed up to her from that one little scene in Downtime), and then a bit of her back story, and all of the sudden, Artemis' whole demeanor had meaning, and I was able to connect, understand, and love her character.

Everyone else I pretty much loved first off (big Batman fan - oh, yeah, your Batman series? My favorite. FYI. - so, Robin had no need to wiggle his way into my heart).

I also love how easily you all eased Zatanna into being a regular and new teammate (I'm assuming. I think it's safe to assume such things at this point). I didn't want her part of the team at first, but you all did such a fantastic job at giving her more time with the team, and more screen-time, that, I rather like having her around, now.

So, yeah. Thanks, well done, do more goodness. I hope to have my face blown off, and my brain melted out of my head again. Go tell everyone that they're my favorites. Yourself included.

Greg responds...

"[My] Batman series?" Uh. I never had one. I did freelance write a bunch of episodes for "The Batman", but that hardly makes it "mine".

Otherwise, thank you!

Hi Greg,
I was just wondering, what happened to all the newborn babies and children in airplanes and automobiles and what not, when the adults disappeared in "Misplaced"? That's a lot of kids/babies. If they all died, how is the world responding to this tragedy?

Greg responds...

I'll leave that to your imagination.

1. Allow me to rephrase a previous question: what kind of persona does Earth-16 Superman project when he's Clark Kent?

2. Did Vandal Savage get those scars before or after the meteor?

3. In terms of strength, how does Icon compare with Superman?

Greg responds...

1. You've seen him. What do you think?

2. Before.

Just a couple of questions,
1. Is Dick's uncle in a coma? (sorry if thats a spoiler or already asked, I looked!)
2. Does Dick like his hair better gelled or down?
3. What is your opinion on cliffhangers as season finales?
Thanks!

Greg responds...

1. SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT.

2. Probably sans gel.

3. Depends on execution, etc.

So this doesn't really have anything to do with Young Justice (which is soooo good, definetly in my top 5 favorite tv series, and thats saying something cause i watch a lot of tv. xD ) but are you a Dr. Who fan? It's a stupid question, i know, but i think that i saw that you were somewhere..... Whose your favorite Dr.?? Mine's the 11th! :)

First of all, I LOVED the last episode of Young Justice, I even teared up some at the end! But it got me wondering, do Batman and Robin have a good relationship on Earth 16? I mean, we saw them play basketball and that was sweet, but we haven't seen anything else! They completely ignored each other in Misplaced! So, I guess what I'm asking is if they have a father/son relationship or if it's more like a mentor/sidekick relationship?
Awesome series, btw, can't wait for more!! :)

ASKED AND ANSWERED.

One other question that needs asking.

1. Why did you make Ma'alefa'ak the name of a type of Martian animal instead of Martian Manhunter's evil twin brother like in the mainstream comics? I mean, I know he was responsible for the Martian genocide which you took out, but he was awesome on "Justice League: Doom" and he could be used for another important role on Earth-16.

Hi Greg, I'm a big fan of your work and the artwork done by Phil Bourassa (hope I spelled that right) for Young Justice. I'm excited for Cold Hearted and I'm still freaking out over the end of Misplaced, but I have a question about Klarion's magic circle. Why is it that none of the wizards he summoned were not surprised by being summoned to an island by a Lord of Chaos? The episode was amazing, but that just seems a little surprising that none of them didn't at least jut look around for a second with a WTF look.

Greg responds...

They were expecting the summons.

Yes. Yes, he did. I think he meant to say "Alligators". But he's kinda chaotic in his thinking.

3)Oberon said that they golaith could have killed him with the iron bell. If he had died what would have become of his children?(so to speak)

Greg responds...

1. Feelings, yes. Romantic feelings - not much.

2. Yes.

3. They'd probably become Titania's Children for the short term. Beyond that, I'm not to big on hypotheticals.

1) Did Vandal Savage adopt different identities over the years?
2) Did he adopt new looks?
2a) If so, how did he manage to make do with such prominent and distinctive scars across his face?

Greg responds...

1. Yes.

2. Not particularly, though I'm sure facial hair came and went. And you should have seen that perm he had in the 70s. ;)

2a. He'd just flat out disappear for decades between identities and change locations. Until at least the mid-20th century, there was really no way anyone could possibly identify him.

Hi Greg! Thanks again for both the show and your willingness to answer questions.

Hello Greg.i would like to ask a few questions about your job because i am interested in going into the directing business.
1. What exactly is your job(the name of your job)?
2. Do you enjoy it?Do you ever get bored?
3. What did you have to study in college for this job?
4. What would you say are the most useful school subjects that should be learnt for this job?
I appreciate if you could answer these questions. And you are also a role model for me and i really love Young Justice.

Greg responds...

1. My title is Producer. And sometimes I'm also the Writer. And even, on occasion, an Actor. I'm also the Story Editor - but that's pretty much covered by my Producer credit.

2. I do enjoy it, and I NEVER get bored, but I do get very, very tired sometimes. Exhausted even. Our schedules can be brutal.

3. I don't know if I "had" to study this, but my B.A. is in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. My Masters is in Professional Writing, with an emphasis on Play Writing. Plus I studied a bunch of other things too, including history, languages, a little bit of physics and math, etc. And a lot of literature - and Shakespeare, in particular.

4. Learn to read critically. Learn to write. Learn to PROOFREAD!!! Learn to rewrite and revise. Etc.

1. Unofficially, yes.

2b. She is still 15 at the end of Season One.

Hi, Greg! :) Me and my family love this show. I talk about it all the time during shcool. All the heroes you show in Young Justice had convinsed me to buy my first comic book (the new 52 made it really easier, though!!!) Thank you for answering these questions and um I'm really really sorry if these questions are too spoiler-ish or if they have been answered before...

1. To my wiki knowledge, I don't think Megan has ever been with Superboy. Or Wally with Artemis. What made you choose these two people to go together. Basically, what made you decide on the pairings?

2. Does Artemis have a mentor bond with Green Arrow, or is the niese thing just a cover and that's it?

3. Were the main team's personalities made just for the show or were they influensced by the comics? Because I googled Superboy once and he was shown to be really outgoing and cheerful, which surprised me.

4. Captain Marvel shocked me when he transformed into a kid maybe even younger than me1! He's so cool. But when I searched his name in wiki, it said he has a twin sister and a lot of sidekicks and goes to an orphanage school (thats so sad!). In the show, though, he lives with an uncle(?) I think. So, um, where is Captain Marvel timeline-wise? Was this when he was already adopted and before he found his sister?

Thank you very much for your time!

Greg responds...

1. Felt right to us.

2. The niece thing was a cover, but they did quickly develop a mentor/protegee bond, which you'll see more of if you pick up our companion comic book, particularly in issue #16.

3. Both.

4. SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT.
