Greetings Mr. Weisman. I enjoy the fact the you gave the lesser used members of the Team some limelight over the past few weeks. But there are a few things I don't understand:

Why was Arsenal put on the Team instead of in therapy? He doesn't have much experience.

If Mongol also comes from a world with a red sun, then does he have the same powers as Superman?

If Superboy's human DNA represses his powers, then why doesn't it repress a weakness to Kryptonite too?

In one episode, Superboy told the Team he had the genetic potential for heat-vision, but in another, he said that he'd never have Superman's powers. Which statement was true?

Why is Jeime's Scarab always suggesting excessive violence in its method of dealing with situaitons?

Thanks.

Greg responds...

1. He has plenty of experience, and your assumption that he isn't ALSO in therapy is just that. An assumption.

2. Not the exact same, no.

3. Life is complicated.

4. Both.

5. Programming.

When Queen Bee enthralls someone, is the domination complete or does it vary in degree depending on the degree of attraction?

Greg responds...

I'm sure there are inconsistencies.

Question for Greg, Are you doing any work in the future? After Young Justice that is. HUGE fan of your work.

Greg responds...

Thank you. And, yes. I'm currently working with fellow Executive Producers Dave Filoni and Simon Kinberg on STAR WARS REBELS, a new animated series from Lucasfilm and Disney, which should begin airing in Fall, 2014.

And my first novel, RAIN OF THE GHOSTS, will come out this December. It can be pre-ordered here:

I'm currently writing the second book in the RAIN series.

In addition, I've written an episode of Beware the Batman and a few Octonauts.

RAIN OF THE GHOSTS, BOOK TWO COUNTDOWN, Chapter Thirty

RAIN OF THE GHOSTS, BOOK TWO COUNTDOWN, Chapter Thirty:

Here's another of my shameless attempts to maintain buzz about my new novel, RAIN OF THE GHOSTS, due out in stores and on-line on December 3rd, 2013 (but available for pre-order NOW on Amazon, etc.):

http://www.amazon.com/Rain-Ghosts-Greg-Weisman/dp/1250029791

Since there's not too much to report about the first book now, I'm counting down my progress writing the SECOND book in the Rain franchise, which should come out sometime in 2014.

Two nights ago, I finished writing Chapter Thirty. THAT'S how busy I've been. I haven't even had time to do this short ramble about it until now. Anyway, this is another chapter that performed its own mitosis, splitting into two - due in large part to one of the two characters that post-outlining has really taken on an importance to the narrative I never anticipated.

So tonight, I'll start on Chapter Thirty-One (which used to be just the second half of Chapter Thirty).

What your favorite incarnation of Spider-Man besides the comic version? So that would be cartoon or movie.

Greg responds...

Is it horrible if I admit that it's The Spectacular Spider-Man?

Greg Xanatos writes...

Dear Greg,

Through your career, you've shown a fondness for various "Master Planner" type villains (Xanatos, The Light, Nerrisaa etc.) You've also become notable for thinking out things to great detail (as your timelines and posts on askgreg have shown). So I wanted to know, has your own "master planning" informed these characters? For example, does Xanatos plan his schemes out with cards like you do? Do the Light's group planning sessions reflect an evil version of the Writer's room?

Thanks!

Greg responds...

God, I hope not. I like to think they're all much slicker than I am.

Hey Mr Weisman,I love your show so much! I hoping that you receive this before the show ends, and here's the question: I was wondering, in your comic(issue 21 or 20 I think), Bette Kane was seen at Dick's house, yet he doesn't know his name, why is she there at all in the first place? Just wondering, it's been bugging me. I hope this isn't a spoiler request or something , thanks for taking the time to read this :)

Greg responds...

The reason for her presence had to do with what they had done together the night before.

Would it be safe to assume that without Impulse's interference in Green and Blue Beetle's attack on Zatanna in "Intervention" that her (possible) death could have been one of the many catalysts that led to the Reach Apocalypse in the future?

Greg responds...

As always, I'm not too interested in hypotheticals.

I'll leave that to your imagination.

Sorry if this is a trivial question, but I have been dying to know: what exactly is a chicken whizee?

Greg responds...

Honestly, you don't want to know.

Just enjoy the taste sensation and don't ask too many questions about the recipe.
