Hello!
I´m from Austria and a big Gargoyles fan!:)
Thanks for the show!
Now my question:
2198
Will Owen look like the Owen we know? Or older?
You said he has a love life. In 1996 or in 2198(between?)?

Please excuse me if I said something grammatically wrong. I`m not very good in english;)

Greetings from Vienna,
Valaine

Greg responds...

Owen will look like Owen, allowing for differences in fashion. I'm not going to go into details of his love life at this time.

Are the Timedancer, Dark Ages, and other such stories from another site, have anything to do with the orignial show?

Second, I have read several questions that mention future tense stories, are they on TV or where?

Thank you for your time and consideration with putting up with our questions. It is appreciated.

Greg responds...

There may be fanfiction sites that have used the tidbits I've revealed, including plans for "TimeDancer", "Gargoyles: The Dark Ages", and "Gargoyles: 2198" (formerly known as "Future Tense"), among other spin-offs. But I've never read any of them.

None of this stuff has appeared on television.

greg where can i find more info on all the "Space-Species-Nokkar-Futurama" crap i keep reading about in the archives. my brother and i really want to know. is there a web site or info centre i could go to to find our more or is all i can do just read the archives and try to figure it out like that. please throw me a bone.

Greg responds...

Seriously, why should I throw a bone to someone who refers to my stuff as crap? Does this method of antagonizing people you're asking favors from work for you in life?

But since someone reading this (a year and a half after you asked) might also be interested, I'd suggest looking at the Gargoyles 2198 archive. Most of what exists is in there.

In the 2198 contest you said that gargoyles were experimented upon, but we never saw any gargoyle getting experimented upon or were you saving this for the third season?

Greg responds...

Well, one could argue that the creation of the clones counted as experimentation on Gargoyles, but, yes, I did have further plans.

Hi, Greg

This is just a ramble to say thanks again for the G2198 prize. I've read it several times, and I really hope the show gets made someday; I can hardly wait to see it.

Although it would be neat to have a document like this for any of the spin-offs, this is really the one to have. Gargoyles 2198 is really the culmination of everything we know. I see so many of the episodes (especially the World Tour) in a different light, and the other proposed spin-offs seem to be leading right into this one.

You said that the prize itself was worthless, but it has quickly become one of my prized possessions. Thanks again!

Greg responds...

You're welcome.

I'm planning a new contest coming up soon.

hi Greg!

i recieved my prize in the mail, and needless to say i'm thrilled with it! i'm a Geography major and it was extremly interesting to me to learn more about the less known clans, both biologically, socially and culturally. i liked to see how the clans we have known had evolved to what they are in 2198. very very cool!!!

and hey, i also got your autograph! LOL

one question, i think i probably am ok since you never said anything, but is it ok to reveal things said in the prize in here or at the Comment Room? i wouldn't want to get you in trouble like the whole Fiona Canmore thing did... or do you just not want me to say some of these things to everyone? again, ifigure i'm ok since you didn't say to kep these a secret, but just want to check!

thanx again! great prize!!

Greg responds...

Thanks for checking. We've already long ago had this discussion though. I think you know the parameters I've set.

And I'm very glad you liked the prize.

the G-2198 contest ended about 5 minutes ago and i thought of something kinda funny:
when you launched this contest you said that hopefully the contest would end before the Gathering 2001. i thought it funny that we made it with less than two weeks to spare!!
i'll admit that i was only around for the last half of the contest, but it sure got me using the good 'ole Thesaurus and Dictionary! LOL! as fun as it was, i'm glad its over as i'm sure you and everyone else is...
thanx, Greg!

Greg responds...

You're welcome. And believe me. NO ONE is gladder than moi.

The mirror of my G2198 page is at:
http://www.geocities.com/raykremer/garg/
because the original should be disappearing soon.

Eh, I suppose I could make another wrong guess for the pile so this isn't just non-question clutter.

This is in response to Magnolia/Kkatman's question about the contest, which I'm hoping is moot by the time you see this because the contest will have ended.

I have a section on my pages dedicated to the G2198 contest (http://crossroads.dragonmists.org/fantasy/central/gnc_store.html#contest), where I have almost all of the already guessed answers listed for the two remaining unknowns. Ray Kremer (http://bobcat.bradley.edu/~rkremer/garg/) and Aris (http://users.otenet.gr/~katsaris/g2198.htm) have sites that have the G2198 blanks filled in to where we currently stand.

Greg responds...

And I've filled in the blanks on the G2198 contest archive.

I was going to take another stab at the 2198 contest, but there are a lot of guesses in the queue and mine are already taken. There's a good chance that by the time you read this the contest will be over. At least I hope it is.

Someone had asked whether you would post your timeline here and you said you weren't sure what you'd do with it yet. It seems to me that it would make a good prize for the winners of the 2198 contest. It's just a suggestion; what do you think? If there are secrets in it that you still want to keep, you could award an abridged version of it.

Greg responds...

Spoken like a man who's won the contest. No, the timeline isn't the prize. It's currently over 200 pages long. Just xeroxing and shipping it would be a bit costly, and yeah, it's got a few things in it that I'm not yet ready to reveal.

And who's got time to abridge it? Not me.

But I think you and Matt'll like the prize.

Todd, sent me your addresses. I'll e-mail you both after the Gathering is over.
