Hey Matthew,
Glad you liked it. If you wouldn't mind posting a review on Amazon, it would really help me out. Thanks.

Well now that I finally have some free time I can talk about "Spirits of Ash and Foam", to put it simply this was great. In fact I think I like this more than the first book (which was pretty good itself). Greg has done a great job expanding the world of Rain, and I'm curious to see where it goes.
The way Greg has blended different myths together was actually rather intriguing especially with the character Aycayia. With the connections between the selkie, local Caribbean tales, mermaid myths water spirits and the common elements found in old fairy tales that involve spiriting children away. I call these specific creatures "Child-Snatchers". So the fact she is so sympathetic is a nice play on expectations. Also it looks like we have a Bigger Bad in the form of Julia whom I originally thought was some kind of storm goddess, but being the first witch paints her in a rather sinister light. Can't wait for the next book and to see where this strange tale goes.
8th. I never watched Carl Sagan's Cosmos, but I very much enjoyed Neil deGrasse Tyson's version. All 13 episodes are currently available on Netflix. I highly recommend them.

I am sorely tempted to lead with a certain Doctor since the newest season premiered this past weekend and theatrical screenings will be this coming evening...
...but I think instead I'll be a bit more Cosmic, especially since I haven't done this since I changed my signature and web link.
