Will there ever be a movie on Gargoyles?
I don't know. Will there?

Do you have any news on the proposed live-action movie?
Thanks for your time in answering these :)
Greg responds...
The live-action movie is in limbo. Currently, Touchstone is not pursuing it.

My Girlfriend picked up the bootleg yesterday. The Movie is done and coming out soon. So what is the real deal?
Like I'd lie to you.
I mean if the thing was really happening, I'd be SHOUTING to you guys to SPREAD THE WORD!
Your girlfriend did NOT pick up a bootleg of a live-action GARGOYLES movie based on the animated series I created. Such a thing does NOT exist.
So being charitable, I have to assume that either you or your girlfriend is confused.
What ever happened to the the "live-action" movie of Gargoyles? Will there ever be one eventually?
As I've answered many times before -- including VERY recently -- the movie has been shelved by Touchstone.
hey greg i am a big fan of the gargoyles i watch every chance i get and i was wondering (it would be awesome)if there is going to be a live action movie or if there is what is the progress of it?
As I've stated before, the live-action movie which Touchstone Pictures (a division of Disney) had in script development for years as been shelved. No progress to report.
Why not make an animated feature-length film, given the recent commercial success of the "Pokemon" genre, et cetera? Are CGI Gargoyles honestly a good idea?
<sigh>
Yeah, why not? I'd love to. But no one at Disney is asking me too.
CGI Gargoyles could be a VERY good idea if the CGI is done well. Although as always, I believe that the best CGI in the world won't help unless the story and characters are great.
Just wanted to know if there is any new info on a Gargoyles
movie or Gargoyles live action movie? If there is, what is it?
thanks for your time
The movie has been shelved.
are there any more gargoyles in the future? Will there be another series, or a live action film like the Ninja Turtles did?
Gargoyles Comic Books with new original stories will begin to see print in 2006.
No current plans for an animated series or live action movie.
Dear Greg,
I'm a business student at USC and one of my classes is a freshmen honors colloquium, where business leaders and USC alumni come speak to us on a weekly basis. This past Monday, October 6, we had the pleasure of having Dick Cook, the chairman of Walt Disney Pictures, come speak to us. Afterwards, I asked him if he had ever heard of the Gargoyles TV show and subsequent attempts to make it into a movie. He said he was familiar with it, but they just never found a script that they liked. This is pretty much what you've been saying all along, but if the chairman of Disney Pictures has heard of the Gargoyles movie, don't you feel that Gargoyles has had SOME relevance, and thus, there's still a chance it might succeed as a movie? I'm still holding out hope that Gargoyles will make it to the silver-screen! =) By the way, who IS responsible for writing and submitting the movie's scripts now?
Last I heard, the live action movie was off the active development list. I've been told that Nina Jacobson, who currently runs Touchstone, is uninterested in the property. I have no idea if that is in fact true.
But the simplest fact is that they did attempt for at least five years to develop a movie script, and they never found one that they liked well enough to proceed with. I never read any of them, but from what little I've heard about them, I'm guessing that we may have dodged a bullet.
Do You plan to make your dream come true by making gargoyles into a real live movie; that teens and young kids will enjoy and love.
That's WAY outside of my control.
Dear greg
any word on the live action movie yet man?
i really cant wait untill it comes out!
Touchstone has shelved their development of the Live-Action movie for the moment.
