Hey gang,
Just a quick note to let you know I won't be answering questions here next week. I'm off to Scotland with my dad. We're renting a car and driving along the west coast and the Isle of Skye.
I'll keep an eye out for Wyvern Hill.
And I'll be back in the office, answering questions on September 8th.
Take care,
Where did the space-spawn get their tech? I mean they are younger than humans yet they have faster than light drive and mass transporters?
Some of it came from a natural bio-chemical affinity for certain types of technology. They were literally born (forged) to travel in space, for example.
Much of it came from the spoils of war and an efficient and frightening ability to mobilize a war industry to back their war machine.
Good question, though.
Why do the space-spawn require ships if they have molecular transporters?
Transporters are very innefficient energy-wise. And they only work at the speed of light. They are impractical over great distances.
What is the proper title for the N'kai?
Is the proper title for the space-spawn the space-spawn empire?
Is the gargoyles' proper title the gargoyle nation?
What about humans and New Olympians?
I'm not sure what you mean... or when.
Just curious when do you think the war between the N'kai and Space-Spawn will end?
I'm not revealing that at this time.
This could be a delicate subject:
Although the World Trade Center is gone, <:( ,
will it still exist in the "Gargoyle universe?"
(or will this even be an issue?)
I apologize if there has already been a 9/11 "ramble".
I couldn't find anything in the archives.
Well, probably when you posted this there wasn't. But you might have looked to see that a few dozen people posted this question before you did and that ultimately I would get to it before I got to yours. Oh, well. Check the archives again, and I'm sure you'll see an answer.
Hi. I didn't know there was 3 gargoyes movies in 1998. Are there going to be more? email me the answer & put the subject Goliath
Three problems...
1. As policy, I don't send individual e-mails to people who post on this site.
2. You didn't include your e-mail address, had I been so inclined.
3. I don't know what you're talking about. There were no Gargoyles movies in 1998, let alone three.
Would the New Olympian spin-off be centered more on politics and romance?
Neither, really. It would be centered on action. But as with most of my stuff there'd certainly be aspects of intrigue, politics, romance, etc.
I am a Gargoyle fan... This site reminds me of my childhood when I used to watch gargoyle on TV after school.
Do you know any way I can watch them again? I mean the whole series...
Thank you.
Toon Disney, for now.
Otherwise, hold tight for the DVDs. The first season is supposed to come out next year to conincide with the series tenth anniversary. Other seasons will follow depending on sales.
Or if you're really impatient, you can contact the fans and see if someone will make copies for you.
<<Just out of curiousity(I hope to what ever god/dess that I spelled that right.) I was wondering why Sevarius did gene splicing to make the Mutates? I watched this thing on one of the educational channels and it said that humans have little bits of DNA from every animal in their DNA codes. So, why didn't Sevarius just activate the exsting genes in them? Or, did he by that gene splicing?>>
In reference to your exasperated reply, lemme try to answer this. Humans don't really contain little bits of DNA from all animals. Its more like we share certain bits with other animals due to the fact that we have common ancestors. For example, a gorilla and a human's DNA is something like 99% the same due to the fact that we're so closely related. However, there's still a distinct difference between a gorilla and a human. In DNA, a little bit goes a long way.
To make a long story even longer, in order to get the kind of mutate hybrids Sevarious was shooting for, he would have to swap out some of the distinctly human DNA with say Cat genes for Maggie. So in the end, Sevarious would have had to "splice" in Cat DNA that we don't have.
Hope that made some sort of sense.
It does to me. Thanks.
