Todd-- If you don't want the second printing of issue 1, you could always call them and say you'd like to pass on that one particular issue. I remember when Dark Horse reprinted Conan #1. My retailer asked me if I wanted it, even pointing out that it had a different cover. I said thanks for letting me know, but no, I only need one copy. He said that was fine and made a note of it. At my current store, I'm on the list for all new Conan books, except the Book of Thoth, because the art is horrid for one, and I've got no vested interest in Thoth Amon for another. ;P You're not set in stone. ^_^ Just check with your retailer for how far in advance they'd like you to let them know about things.

ED - Thanks for calming us down; I know that I tend to go into panic mode a little too often. I still hope, though, that this delay of Issue #2 doesn't result in a dramatic downturn in sales.

One thing that I'm suddenly curious about. After I got my copy of Gargoyles #1 in the mail from Amazon.com (and not wanting to go through the long delay of Amazon.com getting future issues in weeks after they'd been published), I visited a comic shop in University City called Star Clippers and put in a subscription to the comic there, with the store to call me whenever an issue of "Gargoyles" comes in. I wonder if, when the second printing of Gargoyles #1 comes in, they'll interpret that as an arrival and notify me to come pick my copy up. (At least I'll have two copies that way.) Well, I'll probably find out soon enough.

Hypothetical question:

If Gargoyles Season 2 Volume 1 had been released with 2 dvds with the intent of season 2 coming out as a 3 volume series (with lower prices per volume), would we be in the same boat we're in now about getting the whole of season 2 released on dvd?

Whatever happenned to simplicity?

"The reason we haven't gotten Season, Volume 2 is due to lack of sales on S2, V1. Nobody is teasing us at all. It's just that it didn't sell as well. Though I have to say that if Disney had/would have done a better job promoting it, then I surmise that the DVDs would've been a bigger hit."
A-men to that! If it wasn't for on-line access I'd would of never had known that Gargoyles came out on DVD in the first place. Disney did this not only to Gargoyles but with their other T.V. to DVD releases such as Duck Tales, and Chip and Dale rescue rangers. Disney didn't try very hard to promote them either.

I love the comic and hope it's around for a long time. Nobody likes delays, but if that's what it takes to get back on schedule, I'm ok with it. What has me steamed is the fact that the rest of season 2 of the show doesn't seem to be coming out on DVD anytime soon. We've waited so long for this. . .it's like teasing a pet with food then taking it away after one bite. I was really looking forward to seeing the "Hunter's Moon" eps again. (Has there been any recent DVD news? I'm new to the forum.)

Really. I had a patient once where I told her that her headaches didn't fit a migraine pattern and she completely flipped out, moaning that she knew it, she just knew it, she had a horrible brain tumour and she was going to die...

Turns out she was withdrawing from caffeine. A month later she was fine.

This room reminds me of that patient just now.

Ed: You're probably right, but can you blame people for being a little nervous? After ten years, we finally have it back, but Greg has made no bones about saying that, if it doesn't sell well, it will be canceled, no matter how much we all love it. However, we should keep in mind that "sell well" will be judged on the SLG curve. We're not expecting X-Men sales, here, but given that it's the best-selling book in SLG history, I think it's doing okay so far. Even if issue #2 drops a bit in sales numbers, that would still be a pretty strong showing. Clearly, there are people who want it, and while they may not seek it out actively, most of them will still see it around. So far, I don't think any stores have canceled their orders. Delays happen in the comics world, and as long as it doesn't become a trend, it shouldn't be a big setback. I was at the Gathering panel on the comicbook, and I don't remember the details, but what I gathered was that decisions on sales are made at the end of the year, so the book is pretty much guaranteed at least a year. I may be wrong, but that's what I remember. So we probably don't need to go into a panic yet. We're doing okay. Not amazing, perhaps, but okay. Thank you, Ed, for that cold splash of water to the face.

KingCobra: The complete post was linked by Greg X. It read:
"Actually, it's the second printing of the first issue that will be in stores next week. The second issue is being completed as I type, though not as quickly as you would like, I know. Apologies! We're all trying to dig in and get this out before the end of September, but it looks like it might end up coming out early in October."

No mention of the thing getting canned at all -- the opposite in fact.

That's the statement. End of.

I asked a friend of mine, a big comics fan, what he thought of the delay. He didn't find it surprising or concerning in the slightest -- plenty of the comics he enjoys experience delays. The world won't end because the comic slips back a few weeks. If it slips off people's radar, we'll just have to redouble our enthusiasm and efforts to make sure it stays on people's radars. The comic doesn't worry me.

This room does. It reads like responding to news that a baby is overdue by calling the funeral directors -- or a hitman.

Whatever problems the comic has, what strikes me as much more destructive is this extreme pessimistic attitude, the doom-mongering, the moaning, the blame-flinging, the cynicism, the bitterness, the jealousy, the paranoia, the bile, the blind panic, the unremitting negativity. For goodness' sake, jump or get off the bridge.

'Gargoyles' is back. It's by Greg. It's apparently selling well enough for a second printing. There's absolutely no need for a massive nervous breakdown every time something goes slightly wrong (or even when it doesn't).

And now a question... when Xanatos is reached, what WILL his comment be?

But the fact remains that we'll just have to urge the less committed buyers not to give up on them and to continue supporting it."

Got a URL where I can read the Editor's statement? And when you said, it "comes to an end", that threw me into not a mildly nervous state. I want this comic to succeed and I want to see new stories.

I'm just hoping to Brooklyn that this delay thing won't become a routine from issue to issue. If it does, and SLG doesn't get their junk together, then, sad as I am to say it, I don't see the comic lasting even as long as the much older Marvel series did.

Though a part of me wonders at times whether the revival might have been misguided and that it would have been wiser for us to recognize that the series is over and to let it rest in peace. (Maybe "Angels in the Night" *should* have had the clan all get killed by the Quarrymen, if in a "sacrificing themselves to save the city" sort of way. Then we could have moved on.)

Gargoyles - did for monstrous-looking statues what "Watership Down" did for rabbits!

All right, I'm glad the heat's turned down in here, and, again, sorry for my part in turning it up. I've been noticing a trend lately towards factionalism in the fandom, one I hope is curtailed in the future. I'd hate to see this fandom get divided into those who like or don't mind the art versus those who hate it. I've seen this sort of thing happen before. I spent years in the Tenchi Muyo! fandom. Outsiders or casual observers might think I'm talking about the "which girl is your favorite/should Tenchi get?" question, but most of the intelligent fans know not to take that rivalry too seriously. No, the source of strife is over Masaki Kajishima, one of the three creators of the show and the only one still involved. Some people think he's great, while some think he's terrible. A lot of the discussion forums became strongly identified with one side of the conflict, and many people started to feel uncomfortable posting at all. I'd hate to see that happen here. Though I like it overall, I'll admit there are problems with Hedgecock's art. The panel with Elisa stroking just-turned-to-stone Goliath is embarassingly bad- Elisa's head and hands are far bigger than they should be. Also, she does look "oversized" in her dress. And does anyone else think Xanatos looks too old? I don't see the problem with no-neck Brooklyn, though. It looks to me like he just hunched over, and certainly I'd expect characters to look different from different angles. But if you disagree with me, more power to you. I'd love to discuss this sort of thing here, and I'd love even more to discuss all-new stories. The one thing we all have to keep in mind, though, is that if this comic doesn't do well, we won't be discussing any of it at all. Let's face it, this is probably our last chance. If the comic bombs, it's unlikely we'll ever get another one. I know we can all agree that, regardless of whatever problems we may have, we want it to succeed. Some people think that the art will hurt its chances. I'm not sure whether dubious art or a long delay will be worse for it, but we'll just have to see, and do the best we can to keep the property alive.
Jurgan - [jurgan6@yahoo.com]

The whole comic delay is not good. I was thinking about pre ordering, but delays of more than a month make this difficult. Sometimes I buy from my LCS and sometimes on the internet. Comming out longer than bi-monthly means a ton of people (including some retailers) are going to forget about you/ drop you. Having a reputation for being late unless your a big name (Frank Miller/ Jim Lee!!) really hurts sales.
I know some don't want to play the blame game, but I tend to blame the publisher. I mean SLG is pretty dang small. The Disney deal was BEYOND HUGE for them. I wonder if they are used to handling that type of volume. According to Diamond they sold 7,500 copies in June. They also say on there website that no dates are set in stone and that they don't guarantee anything until the book comes back from the printer. To me this just puts up major red flags. I was hoping that this book would grow and now I'm wondering if #2 will sell a lot less than #1.
And yes I am among the people who hate the art. But I bought the book and plan to buy the book so I have the right to voice my opinion. I've heard a lot of people who buy a lot of comics not picking the book up for that reason. The art isn't great, but the book also suffers from the lack of an inker. A good inker/ or hell a half way descent inker could help that book a lot.
Oh well I've said my peace. Don't let your local retailers orders drop. Check the diamond shipping lists and buy the book when it comes out.

Amanda

More than being impatient and wanting the comic for myself, I'm worried about what the continued delays will do to sales. Comic fans aren't in general a patient lot (in my experience). And it comes off as unprofessional and unreliable when the comic isn't available when it's supposed to be. The first issue was delayed by a week due to "distribution problems," which admittedly might not be SLG's fault or anything preventable. But for the second issue to be delayed more than a month... It starts to imply a trend. And I'm terrified it will mean we lose some of our newer readers, who aren't as dedicated to the material as we are...

****Blaise shoots through the Room on a souped-up motor scooter.**** Sorry, it's been a busy week and I only have time for a few short comments.

BATTLE BEAST> Yeah, I was the one who won the contest and got the Brooklyn dangler, "no-neck" figure (which will still hold a special place in my heart because it is the first GARGOYLES action figure I've ever owned...and still the only one), and a Goliath candle.
I can never really thank you enough for these, but here's a game attempt:
THANK YOU! :-)

COMIC DELAY> Darn...and just when I got my two copies of issue #1. I'm willing to be patient, but still...*I want that comic!!*
Oh, well. Just more time for me to set aside enough money to buy THREE issues of #2...and a third of #1.

I'd love to add my thoughts on garg figures and merchandise, but I've really got to get going. Hopefully, I'll have more time later. Until then, farewell. ****Blaise revs up the scooter and shoots out through the door. Very soon afterwards, a loud crash is heard followed by a small explosion and a good deal of cussing.****

I'm disappointed about the delay as well, but I don't think that we should be going about looking for somebody to blame for it yet. We don't know why the delay has taken place; the editor certainly didn't say why that is. Let's remember that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, shall we?

Off-topic> I found the Gargoyles: The Heroes Awaken video tape at a thrift store today, and I'm considering possibly putting it up at the G2007 Auction (assuming there'll be one there) but I'm not sure about 2 things.

"On second thought, maybe wounding him isn't such a bad idea afterall." - Dr. Franklin

Amen, Jurgen, Amen. I agree with you 100%. The fact that there is a glitch and certain people start blaming the art department is depressing. If Greg was late getting the script together would you guys react this way? Would you suggest Greg should be fired and replaced by someone who can hand in scripts on time? No. Of course, I realize you are happy with Greg's scripts and not happy with the art, but SLG and Disney are hardly going to notice the difference. If the comic fails for any reason (art, writing, sales) the comic will go down. I like Hedgecock's work, and I think he will get better as he becomes more comfortable with the character models. Right now, like his work or not, we should be supportive in an effort to keep the comic alive and well. Like it or not, Hedgecock is part of the comic now. Maybe in the future he will resign and/or be replaced but if we push for that to happen the comic will fold, I guarantee.

And please try to keep in mind that there are a large amount of people (both in the fandom and in the general public who purchased the comic) that enjoy and like Hedgecock's work. Nothing drives me nuts more than when I hear or read someone say "Gargoyles fans hate the art" or something to that effect. This is simply not true. I for one like it a lot. Is it perfect? No. But many episodes had pretty weak animation and I think Hedgecock's work is a far cry better than "Kingdom" or "Monsters" and leaps and bounds better than the Marvel comic book. Of course, that just my opinion. If you hate it, fine, but as others have said, be careful what you wish for.

Jurgan-- Thank you.

But to be brutally honest? My own suspicion IS in that the art isn't getting done on time, and yes, my initial reaction is to think it's because Hedgecock can't do his job. I don't think he's a good artist. Definitely not a professional, and I think calling his work "skilled amateur" would be extremely generous at best. It just doesn't live up to the passion he was talking about at the Gathering. But I AM willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because DeGuzman only said the book wasn't being completed quickly, and didn't mention where in the process things were getting held up (I don't expect she'd point fingers at her own staff, anyway). It might be Hedgecock, it might not. We just don't know. But I make no attempt to hide the fact that I DO NOT like the man's work, and I would not be unhappy if this demonstrated his inability to do the job and an artist with some actual skill and talent was hired to take his place. But then, it's possible it's NOT his fault, in which case I'll eat my words because, hey, I was wrong. Either way, there's nothing anyone here can do about it.

So to answer your question of being satisfied with the delay if it meant better quality artwork: Emphatically YES. A thousand times YES. We've waited over ten years for this. Waiting a little bit longer for comic art that looks better than my fanart from 1995 will be well worth it.

Kythera of Anevern - [kythera (at) gmail.com]
I do not suffer fools, gladly or otherwise.

Artists work at different paces. Sure, Bagley rattles off sometimes upward of twenty comics a year with USM and other stuff, but Hitch's Ultimates is hardly known for its speed.

Obviously I'm disappointed that #2 is going to be late, but I don't think grumbling and cast aspersions are likely to make it go any quicker. We don't know who is responsible for the delay or why. We don't know if it's a one-off glitch or something more serious. We don't know what conversations are being had behind closed doors. What we do know: SLG wants the comic to be a success, Greg wants the comic to be a success, Disney wants the comic to be a success, the fans want the comic to be a success, and I have no reason not to believe the art team wants the comic to be a success. If there's a serious problem, you can bet the people who have their money and work on the line here are way ahead of you. If it's just teething problems, there's no need for people to hit the roof.

I will put my full faith in the team at SLG to bring us the best comics they're able to produce as soon as they possibly can. I invite others to do the same.

Ed

Right, I knew I was walking into a flamestorm the minute I opened my mouth, but I'm just getting sick of all the complaining about David Hedgecock. I have no problem at all with legitimate criticism of the art. Certainly, I plan to nitpick every story detail once we get some new issues, and I expect Greg's writing to be great. But it seems like a number of fans hate Hedgecock to an irrational degree and won't be satisfied until he's fired. Within minutes of seeing the first pages of the comic, people were screaming about how terrible the art was and how we deserve better than that. Fine, fair criticism is all well and good. My opinion was that there are problems, but not overwhelming ones, and that, if we give him time, he'll probably get better. Hey, the people who made "Seeing Isn't Believing" weren't so much bad animators as that they didn't have time to get used to the character models. But if you think he's just an outright terrible artist, fine, that's your opinion. Some people took it far beyond that, though. There was even some suggestion, though not too serious, I don't think, that we boycott the comic until we get a new artist, or at least write to SLG asking for a replacement and saying we'd be willing to wait several months for better art.

Now, this delay shows up. What's the first thing said about it?

Greg Bishansky said: "I know Hedgecock asked for three issues. I heard that the reason he was hired is because he gets his work done on time, and within budget.

Well, one of those was a lie."

Greg B.: What were you basing that statement on? All we know is that the book has been delayed. You have NO reason at all to assume that it's Hedgecock's fault, except your own bias against him. For all we know it's the distributor's fault, or there was an error in printing, or any number of hundreds of other things that could go wrong in as involved a process as publishing a comicbook and distributing it nationwide. It could even possibly be (gasp!) Greg Weisman's fault (yes, I doubt it too, but it's possible). Yet as soon as we heard there was a delay, we start bashing the artist. That's just not fair, and I'm tired of the knee-jerk Hedgecock-hate-fest.

So, Kythera, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that it was all the fans' fault. Looking back, I see now that, even though you don't like the art, you haven't blamed the delay on the artist. I apologize for sounding like I was blaming you. In truth, I wasn't trying to blame anyone, I was just speculating on what might have caused it, and my saying it might have been the fans' fault is no les speculative than Greg B.'s saying it was Hedgecock's fault. I have one question, though, for those of you who don't like the art: If it turns out that the comic is being delayed because someone told Hedgecock to redo large sections of it and the art improves as a result, are you happy with that? I'm not. I want new Gargoyles stories and I want them now, or as soon as humanly possible. Granted, I focus more on the story than the art anyway, but there it is.

"No one in the administration ever suggested the Iraq ordered the attacks of September the 11th." -George W. Bush, August 22, 2006

On the gargs comic-- I've worked in the comics industry for the last eight years, and lived it my entire life, and there's really no excuse for a bi-monthly book to be late. Yes, doing a monthly comic is a grind, and its a hard one to make if you're not used to it, but, on a bi-monthly book? When its the ONLY book you're working on? There's really no excuse. This last month of August alone I've written three issues of Ninja High school and toned two of them, each 24 pages. I've colored a 24 page Titanic: Comic book. I've been coloring a book called Metadocs which is what I'll be working on next week. Done layouts and editorial and placement and made ads on half a dozen other books. Colored half an issue of Spiderman adventures. Did 8 pages of of X-Men Fairy Tales. And thats an average, normal month for me.

Other artists and colorists all do similar workloads. The Ultimate Spiderman team does 18 issues a year. Fred Perry writes, pencils, inks, and colors! and issue of Gold Digger every three weeks. Rod Espinosa does the same sort of insanity. Stan Sakai is NEVER late on Usagi Yojimbo. which he writes, pencils, inks and heavily reseaches. Justin Ponzer colors 3-4 books a month by himself, and he's one of THE best in the buisness, as is Laura Martin, who does a similar ammount. Ben Dunn has this month alone drawn two issues of Ninja High School, done a short story, and worked on other outside work. Stan Lee wrote an uncountable ammount of books back when he wrote books.
I'm going over a wide variety of proffessions and creators here to make a point.

Comics is a tough grind, but most profesionals in the industry are able to work on multiple projects MONTHLY and still get it done. A lot of folks work weekends or all nighters to make deadlines if necessary. I very rarely go a solid week without pulling an all nighter or two.

I understand a monthly being late. It happens. SOmetimes life gets in the way or other projects or conventions fill the schedule, and a book just takes 5 weeks to do, or the lateness of previous issues works against you, eating into the time you have to work on the current issue. But with it taking TWO months to make, and its still late, something is wrong. Even taking weekends off, thats pretty much a solid 50 days to produce 32 pages. Thats less than a page a day, with weekends off, with that being their only project. With the penciler and colorist being seperate jobs, so its not one guy doing all of that. (And Greg being a consumate proffessional thats had ten years to figure out what he's doing with this book, nd worked in many fields, I'm going to hope and assume that the lateness isn't due to him turning in the script late, and make the assumption its late due to the newbie art team, neither of which have ever worked on ANYTHING prior to Gargs.)

I understand Alex Ross taking 4 months to PAINT a book full of superheroes. Or Joe Wight taking two months to write, draw and color a HEAVILY referenced Twilight X with accurate weapons and planes and tech and military stuff. European comics taking the time they do, with heavily, heavily references backgrounds and compositions. Or Civil War taking 6 weeks an issue, because its one of THE best looking books out there. But the Garg comic? Unless there's a SIGNIFICANT improvement in the quality from the first issue, I really can't fathom why they're late only one issue in, on a bi-monthly. (I'll even grant that Gathering and San Diego both occurred the last two months and thus ate two weeks. I'll even grant that. But still...) Late on a bi-monthly, when its their ONLY project? I just can't figure out what they're doing.

Robby

Jurgan-- Yeah, that's right... blame OTHER FANS. Way to go, dude.

Ultimately, we don't KNOW who's not pulling their weight where. It could be Hedgecock. It could be the colourist. It could be either of them waiting to hear back on edits or approvals, in which case, they can't do much until they get approvals or corrections. All we know is "The second issue is being completed as I type, though not as quickly as you would like, I know." We don't know who or where or why or for how long. But blaming the fans who criticized the art? LOW BLOW, man. VERY low blow. If every comic book artist who got hosed the way some of us hosed Hedgecock couldn't meet their deadlines afterwards, there wouldn't be *any* books that didn't experience a delay.

Now I'm waiting for the conspiracies as to why and how Disney is trying ot sabotage their own product. -_-

The bottom line is that YES, there was a delay, but we don't know exactly where in the works things have been held up. Jen DeGuzman is the EiC, as Greg B. mentioned, so I tend to believe her words have *some* weight beyond blind speculation and wildly pointing fingers.

Favorite Figure : my Burger King Bronx Launcher only Garg figure I have and I like it because it resmbles Bronx better than a Kenner Version..

Most Deserving Action Figure.. Besides the obvious Angela. I think an Owen/Puck figure would be really cool

Worst, No-Neck Brook is the firat one, followed by Claw-Climber Goliath (I hate that thing sooo much ... *frown*)..

Strangest Piece of Garg Merch, well those elemental gargoyles especially Crispy-Critter Goliath was pretty weird ..

Starlioness

Comic - All the arguing about what *MIGHT* be contributing to the comic's delay doesn't help matters any. Personally, I'll wait and see what Greg and SLG has to say about it officially. Until then, I'm not going to worry.

Gargoyles Merchandise - I still have some Gargoyles playing cards, though they aren't in mint condition. I have a couple of those pog things Kythera mentioned. I also have this incredibly cheesy children's book which basically tells a watered-down version of the events leading up to the gargoyles being frozen in stone in 994 AD. Written by David Cody Weiss, from Fun Works... that is in mint condition. I totally forgot I had it. XD I also have an enormous poster that I got for Christmas ages ago, which is also in mint condition.

Ahh, the memories... and memorabilia. Heheheh. XD

KYTHERA - Thanks for clearing that up for me, 'tis appreciated. ^_^

DEMONSKYE - I'm hoping to get whichever of the Applause figures are still around out there. My Broadway currently is the figurehead on the top of my bookshelf... I'd love to get the rest to add to my collection, as well as the remaining Figure Mugs that Applause did (I have Broadway and Brooklyn, though I think they did a Lexington and a Goliath too?) Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

STORMY - Ahh, I now remember the Rain Storm Hudson now. I once found an Ice Storm Brooklyn, but it got ruined in the move from Washington St. years ago (was found crushed in the bottom of one of my boxes).

Never could understand the point of the "Elemental Storm" gimick. Guess someone at Kenner was trying to be creative, perhaps?

And maybe those of you who've been railing for months about how Hedgecock is the worst thing to happen to Gargoyles since Egon Pax should consider the possibility that you're contributing to the delay. It's possible that Greg saw how much everyone was complaining and told Hedgecock to redo large sections of issue 2, or asked Guler to help out (which would definitely slow things down, considering how busy he apparently is). Of course I have no way of knowing what really caused the delay, or even any official confirmation that there is a major delay, but a lot of people here have said "I'd be willing to wait longer if it means we'd get better art- the kind of art that Gargoyles DESERVES." Be careful what you wish for.

I got a worse question. With this delay of the 2nd issue, how does this effect the overall number of issues of the comic planned to be released?

Fewer comic issues released yields more of each issue needing to be sold just to break even. It looks like we'll end up with just 3 issues released this year, which means sells for those 3 years need to be higher than normal to make up for issues not released.

Whatever happenned to simplicity?

I've made a lot of custom gargoyles figures. I had pretty much all the figures to begin with and then I purchased a lot of figures and parts off eBay a few years ago. I'd have to pull out the toys to remmeber everything I made, but I'm sure I made at least Angela, Thailog, my own Coldstone, Zafiro, Boudicca, Ophelia, Griff, a random Ishimuran gargoyle, and a random London gargoyle (based on a bull). I think I also just did a bunch of head/wing swaps and repaints to create several random Scottish gargoyles. Oh yeah, and I made Demona's CoS 2nd in Command guy with the breastplate. Made the breastplate with sculpty, the body was from one of the Goliaths, and I think the head was Broadway's head. I filed down Broadway's horns and used sculpty to build Breastplate dude's horns. Not sure if I changed the ears or not. But after the repaint he was pretty cool.
Obviously the easiest custom is Thailog. Angela I had to do some sculpty work to give her hair and change her clothing, plus remove the armor thing on the Demona figure. The hardest figures to make were Zafiro (because the lower body was very difficult and the wings were different too) and the Bull London gargoyle (because I used a Hudson body and had to rework the feet to give him hooves).
Anyway, maybe I'll pull those out of the box today...

Stephen: There were actually two Hudsons. There was the regular Hudson action figure, who was a pretty good likeness, and there was Rain Storm Hudson. He was blue, and had a gimmick whereby you could fill his tummy with water, and when you pressed his back, he would squirt water out his mouth. He came with an axe instead of a sword. Mostly though, he was pretty much a repaint of the original Hudson.

Uh oh! I was just looking for /questions/ this week. I didn't list very many there, and I wanted to get some suggestions for other questions/categories before I opened up to collecting /answers/.

Looks like I'll be busy adding these answers to the others! But that's okay.

I'll do up the "official list" of categories next week on Monday....

...meanwhile, are there any other categories people think might be fun?

Stormy - [decepticoncommand@hotmail.com]

Comic> Yeah, this is frustrating. Though to be dair, we don't know 100% for certain that Hedgecock is the one slowing up the process. It's a pretty reasonable guess, but we don't have anyone saying it for certain. Still, I'm afraid this is going to hurt the comic, as even two months is a long time to expect casual fans to remember the book and the storyline in anticipation of the next one.

Bronx Glider> I actually like this accessory, even if it is a little silly, because it does actually address a weakness Bronx has. I may actually have preferred it to the walking up walls solution (at least as it was animated on the show).

Applause Figures> Ah yes, they're some of the best Gargoyles merchandise produced. I bought the whole set from a friend who had to purge some of her collection. They're at my parents' house at the moment, along with the rest of my Gargoyles collection, but I intend to remedy that soon.

Battle Beast. Can I ask how you put the cistom Brooklyn together? I've got and Ice Storm Brook kicking around here somewhere for customizing and could use some tips. Granted, it's been a while since I looked at no-neck, but I thought the pegs for the wings on the two figures were different. I should also probably think about repainting bright blue Griffin Goliath into Thailog.

SS Jr.> There are two mint in box Hudsons on ebay as we speak for $30-$35. If you try some other searches, you may be able to find a loose one for a more reasonable price. My comic store has some Gargoyles figures, but I can't recall which since I have all the ones I want. Would you like me to keep and eye out for one for you?

Incidently, the search also turned up some Italian charms featuring Hudson. Anyone know anything about those?

I do not suffer fools, gladly or otherwise.

Alas, I only have 3 pieces of Garg merchandise - Demoanadn a battle armoured Xanatos that I got in the Vegas auction last year (I gave the pop-apart Steel Clan robot to Jade).
I also found a tailless Lexington at an indoor market in St Kilda a few year back. I adore him, though I found it weird that his wings are attached to his legs but not his arms.

Chameleongirl
Chameleon may changer her spots, but she refuses to do plaid.

No-neck brooklyn....I still don't beleive I actually brought that....
my favorite figure is that "roaring goliath", the one in which he roars and the eyes light up.

kjay - [tigonesskay@yahoo.com]

Stephen-- Yes, believe me, there was a Hudson action figure. I bought mine used from a used toy dealer online several years ago, but I HAVE seen carded ones. No clue as to the rarity.

I do not suffer fools, gladly or otherwise.

KYTHERA - I never did see a Hudson Action figure before... though, now that I think about it, isn't he pictured on the back card of some of the Kenner action figures?

My current collection is limited I'll admit. Only one Demona, Elisa, Bronx and a Coldstone... need to change that, sometime soon.

How rare is the Hudson figure, BTW?

Gah, sorry for the double-post.

Battle Beast-- Ahhh, the danglers! I've got a full set of those (the Trio plus Goliath).

I guess I'll give a proper answer to the list:

Favourite action figure: Tie between Hudson and the Stone Armor Goliath; Hudson was the most on-model, and kept it simple. The Stone Armor Goliath stayed pretty close to on-model, except for his gold arm-band, and his accessories weren't too outlandish.

Character most deserving of an action figure: This is a tough one. Angela would have been nice to see. Chatting with Bishansky, Fox and/or the rest of the Pack would have been another good choice.

Action figure that was the worst likeness of a character: No-Neck Brooklyn, and the Hard Wired Trio and Goliath. Seriously. WTF?

Strangest piece of Gargoyles merchandise: Oooh, I've got some good ones. A near-complete set of Gargoyles POGs, some Roll-N-Flips (all purchased from the Morgans), and a "Chip-Away" Goliath that I scored at the G2005 auction in Vegas; it's a Goliath figurine encased in a stone "block", and you have to chip it away and assemble the figurine. Kind of like a dig-your-own-fossil kit, I suppose. I've also got a pair of Gargoyles kiddie swimming trunks. I blame my thrift store-loving Gramma for those. XD

Kythera of Anevern - [kythera (at) gmail.com]
I do not suffer fools, gladly or otherwise.

Favourite action figure: Ice Storm Brooklyn that I colored and Painted brown/red with No-neck's wings.

worst likeness: No-neck.
Strangest piece of Gargoyles merchandise: a sucction cup with a long wire that held one of the trio. This you could attach to a windo or your car.

I had a contest a while ago, and I gave away a no-neck figure, the suction cup and somethings else... the winner was from Los Angeles I think... does anyone remember who won???

Battle Beast - [Canada]
that is all I will say.

Man, I'd love to be working on the comic. Inker would be my first choice, but I don't think inking alone could salvage Hedgecock's penciling. **Sighs** Anyway, thanks for the compliment there, Wingless. ^_^

Stephen-- Um... **Holds up her Hudson action figure**

I think the Hudson figure was the most true-to-character. He's pretty well proportioned and on-model, and the function of his little sword-swining attack action doesn't interfere with the design, so I think he's my favorite. ^_^

Kythera of Anevern - [kythera (at) gmail.com]
I do not suffer fools, gladly or otherwise.

Re: Stormy's Poll - You've got my attention . . . so, I'll bite:

FAVORITE ACTION FIGURE: Toss up between Bronx (though the launcher flight pack armor was th' cheeze!) and Elisa Maza.

CHARACTER MOST DESERVING OF AN ACTION FIGURE: Three-way tie between Hudson, Angela and Hakon.

WORST LIKENESS OF CHARACTER: No-Neck Brooklyn seems to be the top choice.

I haven't seen a really strange piece of Gargs merchandise... but I did catch an interesting item the other day: a twelve piece set of ceramic "King Cake" figurines that feature most of the primary cast (Xanatos, the Clan, Elisa, Demona, Bronx and the Gargoyles logo).

I also own one of the large Applause figurines -- Broadway, but I'd love to get the rest!

Jennifer De Guzman is an editor over at SLG, and is now saying that the second issue of the comic will be coming out at the end of September, well, most likely early October. Sigh. I have tried to be patient, but this is inexcusable. I know they're a small company. But when your comics are already bi-monthly, we should not have to wait four months to get the second issue.

I read a lot of comic books. I know delays happen. But, this. I know I've complained about the artwork before. But, I still think this is inexcusable. If a delay of this magnitude happened at Marvel or DC, someone would get fired. There is a reason Kevin Smith doesn't get work writing for comics anymore.

Greg Bishansky - [<---- The 11th Annual Gathering of the Gargoyles]
"On second thought, maybe wounding him isn't such a bad idea afterall." - Dr. Franklin

About the Shakespeare authorship question: one thing that I've noticed about it is that many of the people who support the notion that somebody else wrote the plays (usually the ones who support the Earl of Oxford) believe that the plays were really a series of political commentaries and satires on various people at court (for example, Gertrude and Polonius in "Hamlet" are really Elizabeth I and her chief advisor, Lord Burghley) and that Elizabeth forced the cover-up that made it look as if William Shakespeare from Stratford wrote the plays because she was afraid that if the public knew that it was a nobleman from court who was writing them, they'd discover a lot of scandals going on at court that she and her advisors wanted to keep secret. In other words, according to the theory, Shakespeare's plays were really the Elizabethan equivalent of "Primary Colors". (Which makes them lose some of their appeal to moderns if it turns out that that was what they were, in my opinion.)

As for Gargoyles merchandise, I haven't paid enough attention to the action figures to comment on that area, but I used to have one definitely oddball piece of merchandise in the form of a small storybook with stamps of various Gargoyles characters accompanying it. The story in it was definitely below the show's standards - Xanatos captures Elisa to use her as bait for a gargoyle trap, but the gargoyles rescue her and stuff Xanatos in the lions' cage at the zoo. That last bit definitely struck a false note for me; Xanatos might lose against the gargoyles, but always in a way that preserved his dignity. Now, if it was Taro whom the gargoyles had stuffed into the lions' cage....

Todd Jensen
Gargoyles - did for monstrous-looking statues what "Watership Down" did for rabbits!

OK I'll bite.

Favorite Action Figure: Coldstone. He's probably the best balance between a good sculpt and a fun toy. Yes, the spinner is a little silly and too linked into "Legion" and his missle launcher arm is kind of clunky, btu they're both good toy representations of things the character does. And for a sentimental bonus, Coldstone was an early gift from the guy I'm getting married to on Sunday.

Character Most Deserving of an Action Figure: I'm gonna go with Greg B. and say Angela, though an Elisa in her normal costume is a close second. Then I'm going to add my own category, which is...

Character That Could Have Easily Had an Action Figure But Didn't: Thailog. The rest of the Clone Clan require some kind of modification to the original sculpts, but Thailog really could just be a Goliath repaint. Though I'd prefer a Thailog in armor, a first appearence Thailog would have cost virtually nothing to produce.

Worst Action Figure Character Likeness: It's probably a toos up between neck-free Brokklyn and wings-too-high Broadway.

Strangest Piece of Merchandise: There are a couple of odd ones here and there. The back of some of the action figure packaging has a weird launcher vehicle that to the extent of my knowledge was never released. And I'm the proud owner of a Gargoyles play tent.

Demonskrye
Super articulated

Favourite action figure: Hudson was pretty cool.
Character most deserving of an action figure: Angela probably.
Action figure that was the worst likeness of a character: I thought Macbeth looked pretty weird.

I'd love there to be new figures. If the comic keeps doing well, figures for the collector's market would be awesome.

Okay, on to the poll:

Favourite action figure: I kinda like the Steel Clan robot.
Character most deserving of an action figure: No brainer. Angela. She's the only Regular without one.
Action figure that was the worst likeness of a character: No-Neck Brooklyn
Strangest piece of Gargoyles merchandise: Hmm, nothing I can think of off the top of my head.

Then as a topic for discussion:

Years ago, I used to do a poll every year about Gargoyles toys and merchandise. I'd collect answers for a couple weeks and then post the results.

So how about we do that again? I can take suggestions for questions, and as of Monday I'll post the "poll questions." It'll be open for two weeks, and then I'll post the results.

Categories I remember:

Favourite action figure
Character most deserving of an action figure
Action figure that was the worst likeness of a character
Strangest piece of Gargoyles merchandise...

Any more suggestions?

Stormy - [decepticoncommand@hotmail.com]

Thing about Shakespeare that annoys me is I don't have or understand the pronunciation so there are some verses that don't rhyme (but did back in the day). It breaks the rhythm when I'm reading Shakespeare and it annoys me a bit. Then there's all the jokes he throws in that you miss because you're not part of that culture. I think at one point he uses the word "reason" but because of the accent at the time it was pronounced like "raisin" and there's a pun there.. but you don't get it because you don't pronounce reason like they did back in the day. So that means you need to score a book of Shakespeare plays that contain all the footnotes. And in some plays, the footnotes are longer than the play itself.

It turns the whole reading experience into an academic exercise.

And a lot of modern productions of his plays use current pronunciation so even when you're just watching the play, you still miss the jokes and rhythms broken because rhymes don't work.

It's frustrating!

Dude, as long as that got a response, it doesn't have to be witty.

I've heard that Shakespeare wasn't the one who wrote his plays. I forget her name, but there is evidence that some woman did, because the first couple of "Shakespeare's" plays were dedicated to her sons, who Wills only met for like five minutes.

But I was half asleep listening to some radio program when I heard that, so I might be misinformed.

Twiggess
"All is but toys." from Macbeth

Shakespear did not write his own plays. He was more a sort of story editor. Others would write, he'd edit. Maybe he'd come up with an outline or synopsis, but others did the bulk of the work. Shakespeare's sonnets toward men (or a man) were not because he was interested in both sexes, but simply because he had a woman or two on staff or perhaps the writers were tired of Shakespeare getting all the credit and threw those out as a goof on Shakespeare.

Controversial, but not witty.

- Hakon was born in 957

Gorebash - [gorebash@s8.org]

I'm doubtful it's Haakon the good. If Hakon is based on a real character, I have to assume the production team did some research. Haakon the Good (Haakon I) died in 961. Two kings later we see Haakon Sigurdsson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haakon_Sigurdsson) who dies in 995. Since the clan goes down in 994, perhaps this is the man its based on (although he's a lot older in real life than Hakon in Gargoyles was in 994). Eric of Norway (Eiríkr Hákonarson) who later becomes King around 1000 AD. His age would more appropriately match our Hakon.

But I doubt Hakon is based on any specific character but more a general reflection that the character (and those he commanded) were of Norwegian heritage.

Not sure what the real value of SL is as an advertising platform for real life stuff like The Gathering. Wow, that SA thread is awesome. Hillarious at times. I did have one problem, though, and that's some of the misconceptions people had about the show. I don't expect SA users to be as knowledgeable about Gargoyles as we are, but there was one comment that's really problematic:

"All I remember from the couple episodes I watched as a kid was that I loved Owen and also Puck, but I hated the show because the Macbeth thing was so stupid to me. I couldn't understand why, if he wanted to have a noble Scottish lord, he would choose to name him Macbeth when Macbeth was a crazy person who killed people for fun and profit."

That makes me wish I had an SA account, but you have to pay to post and I'd probably hardly ever use it. I hope somebody explains it to him, because it'd be a shame for a potential fan to be lost because of a misunderstanding. So far, the only response has been "Name a more famous Scottish lord," which is true but secondary to the main point that Gargoyles's Macbeth was more accurate than Shakespeare's.

Jurgan - [jurgan6@yahoo.com]

I just had an idea on how to spread the word on Gargoyles. I've recently discovered an MMOC (Massively Multiplayer Online Community) called Second Life. Unlike MMOG, this is not set on a fantasy world, outer space or The Matrix, it's a virtual world where the community creates the structures, the avatars, everything, some people even make their income from this game alone, and it's supported in game. Second Life already supports carious causes built by it's users and I thought, why not Gargoyles?

I figure that if the Gargoyles community is interested (there is a free version if you want to try it), we could try and spread the word in Second Life. It could be a hub for virtual Gatherings. Someone could build a replica of the Eyrie building and design Gargoyle Avatars, and spread the word while interacting in the 'game'. What do you think?

Those reviews.... I don't want to start a competition between Gorebash's S8 and 'my' GFW (yeah, sure... mine... as if. It's the fans site, i just carry the burden of maintainership :), but I think those reviews would be well-placed on the GFW, added to the reviews I got for each and every episode. Just an idea though. If they end up on S8, I'll link to 'em anyways :)

So - drop me a line, or drop Gorebash a line, just don't let them go to waste.

It has been said that the world is a strange place. This is not true. The world is a VERY strange place.

I got a brief peek at the Something Awful board with its Gargoyles summary, although only that (all those pictures made it take too much time to load). One thing there that I disagreed with was the claim that Hakon was the same as King Hakon the Good of Norway; I was always under the impression that Hakon was just a made-up Viking character who happened to share the same name as the Norwegian king (I don't think that the Hakon of "Gargoyles" was even a king or a high-ranking nobleman; at least, there was no mention of it in the series).

Count me as another person who's curious to see who's going to be taking over from Tony Dracon in New York's organized crime rackets. It'll probably be somebody new (unless Brod winds up staying in New York and doesn't get sent back to Prague).

"Hehe, Greg B, you are in a very contradictory mood today."

Today? :)

So, to sum up the beginning of Season 2:

Leader of the Pack: Lexington
Metamorphosis: Brooklyn and Elisa
Legion: Coldstone
Lighthouse: Hudson
Silver Falcon: Broadway

Yeah, that covers just about everyone. And I guess Eye of the Beholder and Vows give special attention to Xanatos and Demona, respectively. So, even though it's no guarantee, I think it's safe to call it a trend. I'd like to see a Lex issue especially, since he never got as much focus as the other members of the trio. Brooklyn got Upgrade and Kingdom, and Broadway had some extra time in Protection. Hmm, it seems that Brooklyn got more episodes than either of the other members of the trio, and yet he's the only one sure to get special focus in the comics. Well, I hope Lex and Broad get their own issues. I wonder what's up with organized crime these days? And maybe the UltraPack's gonna be put together soon.

Jurgan - [jurgan6@yahoo.com]

Well, worst comes to worst, I can post there or message him to see if it is ok for you to archive the reviews.

By no means at all will I post a link to this CR there though... VERY bad things have happend to other forums/CRs in the past when they have been linked there.

Well, Greg B does have a point. If anything, the Broadway episode was "The Silver Falcon."

Fire Storm & Whoever is behind that SA thread:

Great thread. Very well done. I like how the reviews are done -- very loose and fun, but making sure all the key info is there. Really good way to approach an teen/early 20s group that grew up with the show or may have just missed it. And, as has always been my experience, the response is the same: "I loved that show", "I use to watch it all the time", etc... which goes to show you that the DVD sales probably have less to do with people not wanting to buy them then it is people just don't know about it.

Whoever is putting this thread together (Jamesman if your out there) save your reviews! They deserve a permanent home. If you're at all interested, I'd love to host them here (and hopefully encourage you to do eventually them all). Toss me a line!

I think Lighthouse was more Hudson focused than Broadway focused.

Even Season 2 nearly followed the same pattern. "Leader of the Pack" had a lot of focus on Lexington, "Metamorphosis" had a lot of focus on Brooklyn, then there was "Legion", but then it was "Lighthouse..." which had a lot of Broadway focus. Anyway, I guess we'll have to see if Issue 3 is Lexington focused or not. I tend to doubt it, but could be because we don't know much about Greg's plans for Lex.
If Clan-Building is an arc lasting more than a couple issues, then Timedancer will likely be part of it.

JURGAN> Vaguely. So vaguely, I doubt you could even use the word blueprint. Still, just cause TGC did it, doesn't mean it's part of a trend.

Heh, what is this TGC you speak of?

Greg Bishansky - [<---- The 11th Annual Gathering of the Gargoyles]
"On second thought, maybe wounding him isn't such a bad idea afterall." - Dr. Franklin

If anyone has a Something Awful forum account, there is a thread in GBS where they are talking about the series, and someone is giving an episode by episode talk through.

Apparently the person who posted at least reads this site, because Station 8 was mentioned as a source for most of his information.

Thought you may want to know.

I am the very model of a modern major general with information on animal, vegetable and mineral.

Well, in addition to the first season, the first three eps. of TGC each focused on a member of the trio. And since TGC vaguely followed the blueprint of Greg's master plan (though not very well- and how the hell did Timedancer become Runaways?), maybe Greg intended/intends to have a story for each member of the trio.
Jurgan - [jurgan6@yahoo.com]

MATT> <<Or maybe Issue 3 will continue the trend of having trio focused episodes>>

Happening once makes it a trend?

Greg Bishansky - [<---- The 11th Annual Gathering of the Gargoyles]

Greg has said that the first year (I think) of stories will form an arc called Clan-Building. Maybe it won't be exactly a year, but it'll be more than two issues. I assume Timedancer won't happen until at least issue 5, to give new readers a chance to get acquainted with Brooklyn as he is now. On the other hand, maybe it's better not to show him too much before changing him completely- I can just hear someone saying, "Just when I was starting to get used to these characters, they pull a gimmick like this!" And, before I get quoted out-of-context, I'm not saying I think Timedancer is gimmicky, but if I were brand new to a series that did something along those lines, I'd probably think it was a pretty big gimmick.

I'd never made the connection between Clan-building and the Quarreymen, but it does make sense (especially if you call it Klan-building). One would hope that every issue of the first year does not feature the Quarreymen, since one of TGC's big mistakes was to focus almost exclusively on the Q-men, ignoring the wonderful rogues' gallery the show had built up (one ep. for Thailog and Sevarius and one for Demona? For shame!).

Jurgan - [jurgan6@yahoo.com]

Okay, slow week.
What does everyone think of the "Clan-Building" title in the comics right now? Obviously it is a reference to the formation of the Quarrymen and the (re)introduction of the Manhattan Clan. I wonder if Clan-Building will only be Issues 1 and 2 or if it'll be a longer arc. If it continues long enough for Brook, Katana, Nashville, Fu-Dog and Tachi's egg to join the Clan than it would live up to the name of Clan-Building. Anyone think that'll be in Issue 3? Or maybe Issue 3 will be the Halloween double date? Or maybe Issue 3 will continue the trend of having trio focused episodes, the first focusing on Lex?

Just some ideas, trying to get a conversation started.

Todd: You have my permission to delete all the questions ive asked on Ask Greg. I think my first question was in march of 05'. Thanks Jurgen. I guess I forgot about Greg saying all that.

But I wanted to ask Todd something else. I read your synopsis of Clan-Building Ch. 1 Nightwatch over on the GFW and you mentioned that in one frame Hakon was seeing killing a sleeping gargoyle and you felt that gargoyle is/was Coldstone (ie Othello). I pulled out the comic and looked again and that gargoyle doesn't strike me as anything like Coldstone at all. Coldstone's brow rigdes went right up into horns that tipped slightly over his head. The gargoyle in the frame has brow rigdes that have one small pair of horns and then another larger set of horn that jut forward from the head. I think the ears might be different as well.
Unless the Coldstone model has been reworked for the comic, I don't think that gargoyle is Coldstone.

I know its a nitpick, but I just wanted to point it out.

Recently, AG was updated to give Todd the ability to answer questions in the queue which had been frequently asked. To quote Greg:

"Rambled on Thu, June 22, 2006
DUCKS IN A ROW

ASK GREG will be open up again today (Thursday, June 22) so that questions and especially G2006 CON JOURNALS can be posted. We'll stay open at least until the end of July.

In addition, Gorebash has been working on the site to allow Todd to answer some frequently asked questions for me by searching the archives. We haven't totally got the new system up and running, but the long awaited upgrade to ASK GREG is on the verge of reality here. REJOICE!!!

This should help us get through the queue MUCH faster."

However, Todd said that, although the system's up, he's not sure how much of an impact it'll really have, since his new abilities are pretty limited.

Jurgan - [jurgan6@yahoo.com]

Todd> I'm still a little confused here. Greg's reply gives the impression that you have his permission to delete prviously asked questions even though I believe Greg himself said that wasn't a good idea. So I'm confused why Greg is surprised you didn't delete the question on grounds that it had been asked previously even though he told you not to delete in such a case.

If Greg wants you to start eleting previously asked questions from the queue, then with a little time on your part, Todd, the queue could become significantly smaller.

I'm not lecturing or even proposing a course of action, just trying to clarify and become less confused...

Todd: You have my permission to delete the few questions I asked in 2004 and 2005. The only one I ask that you leave in the queue is the one I posted most recently, which would be my response to Greg's ramble on "The Reckoning." You can delete the others EXCEPT for that one.

I might as well confess that I've sometimes used my capacity as the "questions-clearer" to delete questions in the queue that I'd asked Greg if they'd become moot since I asked them - though only the questions that I asked and nobody else's, I hasten to add.

Todd - <Sorry about that. I must not have realized (from the way that DPH had phrased that question) that it involved the bit where Greg and a couple of the writers all realized simultaneously that Owen and Puck were the same person.> At the time, my intent was to find out how the discovery was made. Of course, now I understand how characters can 'tell' you some of their secrets, if you understand them well enough. The question to me is mute now. (That is one feature I would like in the new Ask Greg System. A registration system where registered users have the ability to delete their own questions up to the last minute.)

Sorry about that. I must not have realized (from the way that DPH had phrased that question) that it involved the bit where Greg and a couple of the writers all realized simultaneously that Owen and Puck were the same person.

Incidentally, here are a couple of moments that will probably never be in the comic (though I still find it amusing to picture them).

1. Castaway issues an anti-gargoyle advertisement of sorts on television, which depicts a typical American family strolling down a Manhattan street at night when suddenly some gargoyles swoop down upon them. The family try to run for their lives, but the gargoyles have them surrounded and close in on them. The camera briefly tilts up to show the upper part of the building that they were walking next to while, from below, we hear screams getting cut short and then lots of snarling, tearing, and gobbling noises; the camera tilts back down to show the gargoyles sitting around a pile of shredded clothing, gnawing the last of the meat off some very human-looking bones, followed by a voice-over about how dangerous the gargoyles are, etc.

We then discover that Demona's watching this commercial on her television set, and she promptly sneers at it, saying, "As if we'd ever be desperate enough to put a human anywhere near our mouths!"

2. Puck announces, "I'll put a girdle round the earth in forty minutes!", and is seen shortly afterwards running off with a gargantuan piece of lingerie with an odd gleam in his eye.

I think i have a stratagy to all this... One of the stores i buy Gargoyles from want me and some other fans to dress up and "advertise" in front of the store. The store is Suncoast Videos at Rosedale mall. SO, comment room people, what do you say to a bit "fun"...? Greg just answered a few more questions. In one of his replies he said "I can't believe I haven't answered this before here. But since Todd didn't field this one, I guess I haven't... or at least not here at ASK GREG."
What does that mean? I thought Todd was SUPPOSED to let questions through even if they HAD been asked before?! Is Greg saying that previously asked questions should be deleted from the queue?
