The studio that animates Young Justice is about an hour from my home. I'm fairly tempted to make a pilgrimage....after my trip to Pukhan Mountain.

Rebel> By your logic most of the characters in Gargoyles are unneccesary. I don't think Greg W has ever subscribed to the idea of economy in character number. Looking at Gargoyles, Spectacular Spider-Man and Young Justice, one must surmise that Greg actually enjoys huge ensemble casts. And once you move into the realm of comic books, it becomes even easier (read cheaper) to introduce new characters. Look at Tri Chung and Cedric Harris for instance. Lunette could've been introduced merely to serve as an opposite bookend to Old Pog when Staghart is talking about the size and age range of his clan. I imagine that Greg probably use Lunette again given the opportunity, but there is no reason to assume that she is being set up as a mate for Nashville... or even that they would ever meet or know each other.

REBEL> No one is complaining about people suspecting Gnash and Lunette will be a couple (where did you get that?). What is obnoxious is someone blatantly disregarding the rules and blatantly posting an idea that is barely masquerading as a question.
Greg Bishansky - [<--- Greg's Blog of Clue-by-Fours]
Elisa Maza, why don't you just take that "sodie pop" can and stick the straw right into New York's eye!

I don't think it's unreasonable to suspect that Gnash and Lunette might end up as mates. Economy in story-telling means not introducing a bunch of unnecessary characters. Why make four new characters if it's possible to tell the same number of stories with only two new characters, especially when you already have a huge cast? I'm sure that Lunette will be an important character at some point or another, else why go through the trouble of creating her at all? And presumably someone, most likely a female his own age, will end up mating with Gnash. It's not unreasonable for people to make the mental leap and conclude that Greg W probably introduced Lunette to be Nashville's future mate, just as it isn't unreasonable for people to think that Amp might be gay and will be Lex's future mate. Even if they don't end up as mates, it's still easily possible that these new gargoyles will have an influence on Lex and Nashville's romantic lives, just as Maggie played a role in Brooklyn's character arc as a romantic interest without ever becoming his mate.

It's still an assumption, and we all know what happens when you ass.u.me. But nevertheless they are pretty natural assumptions to make.

Rebel

It is kind of an odd question... I mean all we know about Nashville and Lunette in regards to each other is that they are the same age and of opposite sex... not much to go on. I mean, they've never even met (as far as we know) and they are way too young to even be thinking about mates seriously.

Sounds like wishful thinking masquerading as a question.

Although it does make me wonder what a half English, quarter Japanese, quarter Scottish gargoyle would look like.

Algernon: Basically, a question about whether Greg W. had considered making Gnash and Lunette a couple, complete with links to their Formsprings.

...Yeah, I'd say that pretty much speaks for itself.

You have already been told Greg doesn't look at fan ideas. Masterdramon already explained that quite well. So, what the Hell? Why post that. You know it's not going to get passed the moderating. Seriously! Don't do this again.

Charles> You asked "I enjoyed the last installment of young justice, terrors!! But are Miss Martian and Superboy a couple now after their kiss?? I hope this isn't a spoiler question??"

I don't know if starting relationships are that easily defined. I am sure this is the first step as they have nonverbally stated their feelings. But I have faith in the writing staff that the coming episodes will explore how each of them deal with that kiss and whether or not it evolve into what could be defined as "being a couple now" or not.

TheGeek

Must be some kinda rule that when I try and compile the Formspring responses in one place, Formspring must be almost immediately overrun with new players right afterward. So here's four more to send along to the big dog...probably this evening, since I think I've got the necessary input on what and what not to include:

Street Thugs (the recurring ones first seen in "Awakening, Part III"): If he comes through our territory, he's going to have to pay the piper.

Sha Shan Nguyen: "W.I.T.C.H." was a lot of fun, and Flash and I have been waiting for new episodes of "Young Justice" for a while now.

Silver Sable: I had to spend twelve years of my life managing what remained of my father's business... I did not have time to watch cartoons. And with daddy back in jail, I still don't.

The Hobgoblin: What kind of man is too shallow to admit to enjoying a well produced cartoon every now and then? I rather enjoy the subplot in "Young Justice" with the Light. Mysterious individuals hiding their identities and working towards their goals is a concept I find appealing.

charles - [charles.lott2@live.com]

Hot damn, "Terrors" may well be my favorite "Young Justice" episode yet.

...But then, I've said that about every single episode since "Downtime," so what do I know. XD

ANTIYONDER> You do not try to manipulate a break up if you like your nephew's significant other.

I recommend the Bertone Hates Betty series of articles, and the Amazing Spider-Man Classics podcast for the expose on the Horrible Person that is... Betty Brant!

Elisa Maza, why don't you just take that "sodie pop" can and stick the straw right into New York's eye!

Greg B> I was reading the unanswered questions when I came across your question asking Greg about how he would interpret Betty, and this got my attention:

"Come to think of it, May never liked Betty in the Lee/Ditko run either. Betty is definitely not the girl you bring home to meet mom."

When did May show any dislike for Betty? Only thing I can recall is that she viewed MJ as a better girl for Peter, but not outright hating her.

Todd> Anonymous is referring to the description of Susan Pevensie on Greg B's blog post covering the Formspring characters.

Anonymous> From what I understand, that "version" of Susan actually hails from the Gargoyles Universe (or SpecGarg if you prefer) and C.S. Lewis just wrote about her family (it's the literary agent hypothesis like so many people use for Arthur Conan Doyle and what's been done with Shakespeare in Gargoyles).

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!

ANONYMOUS - I'd like to see more "Gargoyles" questions in the "Ask Greg" queue as well, but since "Young Justice" is the series that's currently airing, most of the questions are inevitably going to be about it. (One drawback for me: I'm not that familiar with the DC Comics Universe, so I'm often uncertain whether such-and-such-a-question about what will happen in "Young Justice" is an idea masquerading as a question or a reference to something that happened in the comics.)

I don't get the part about Susan Pevensie, since I couldn't find her name on the message board before your mention of her. Is this a spillover from a private conversation?

Todd Jensen - [merlyn1@mindspring.com]

Anonymous: Greg W. can't really look at or directly comment on the Formspring stuff, since while it is easily some of the best FanFiction I've seen in this fandom, well...ever, it still IS FanFiction and therefore he cannot read it for legal reasons.

That's why I'm trying to be so careful on the particular Formspring responses I send along to him. Most are pretty innocuous and should do quite a good job at amusing/ego-boosting the big guy, but there are a few that would definitely cause problems.

Masterdramon - [kmc12009@mymail.pomona.edu]
"Don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time, I'm havin' a ball..." - Freddie Mercury of Queen

Although I'm glad Greg's back to answering questions again, I'd like to see some more Gargoyles-related stuff. Particularly anything Formspring related, whether he's gotten caught up to speed with that. (And if some aspects of that fiction will become, or close to, canon. Will Mab return as she did, along with the Unseelie? Or would Lunette and Nashville become a couple?) All things to think about. (If he wonders about the "'Spring thing", our other Greg - Bishansky, that is! - can help out by sending him the links via his blog! Hint! Hint!)

P.S. (To Greg B. - again!) Susan Pevensie originates from the Chronicles of Narnia universe originally. Sorry, but it felt like a "Just Bugs Me" moment.

MASTERDRAMON> I'd also suggest dropping any non-Gargoyles, non-Spec Spidey characters Like Fury, Strucker and Ross. They're really periphery.

Man, 2010 was a crazy year. Remember when the monolith turned Jupiter into a star? Good times.

It's a shame there is no Maggie Player either
VickyUK - [Vickyfanofwwe@aol.com]

Spen: Oh, I wish...but unfortunately, there is no Bruno player at present. No Donald Menken, either, which is the one I REALLY wanted to see.

But yeah, I've asked every character even tangentially related to the Gargs/SpecSpidey Formspring scene this question so far. Anyone missing from the list simply doesn't have a player yet.

Masterdramon - [kmc12009@mymail.pomona.edu]
"Don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time, I'm havin' a ball..." - Freddie Mercury of Queen

Gee, all those responses and no one bothered asking Bruno if Greg used to work for him.
Spen

Masterdramon> Someone might contradict me, but I say leave Prospero's response in there since it's taken completely from the introduction on this website and is clearly not to be taken as a serious interpretation of the character.

Also, yes, take out Lunette's response. Doesn't matter so much for Merlin or Dracula. If you're that concerned about Merlin, though, Old Pog hasn't had a line in the series yet either has he?

Supermorff

Greg B.: Per your suggestions, I shall remove the following when I post 'em to AskGreg...

- Lady Nimue
- Morgana le Faye
- Prospero
- Thoth
- Set (though I really like his answer, LOL)
- The Green Knight
- Ariel
- Caliban
- Queen Mab
- Baron von Strucker

Now, a couple of other specific ones that I'd like to ask for some advice about, looking back at the full list...

- Merlin: I'd really hate to lose this one (and he's technically not CiT anyway, since he made a cameo in Clan-Building), but this would be his first "line" as it were and as such it's something of a murky issue.

- Lunette: It's a minor thing, but her answer comes a little too close to implying her relationship with Gnash. Should I delete it or remove the reference to Nashville just to be safe?

- Count Dracula: He's so ubiquitous (and I enjoy his answer enough) that I thought just moving him into the "RANDOM OTHER RESPONDENTS" category might suffice, but nevertheless he IS still technically CiT. Thoughts?

Masterdramon - [kmc12009@mymail.pomona.edu]
"Don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time, I'm havin' a ball..." - Freddie Mercury of Queen

Wow... Don Karnage... That was an interesting surprise for me considering TaleSpin was my favorite Disney property before Gargoyles came along...

I see Deadpool is being himself as usual...

The One Known As Mochi - [shogi.keima.08@gmail.com]
Current Mood: (>-_-)> Zzz...

MASTERDRAMON> Great list, but to play it safe, I would remove all CiT characters like Queen Mab.

And while it is in character, the Baron Strucker one really makes me feel uncomfortable. I know it's supposed to, but....

Greg Bishansky - [<--- Greg's Blog of Clue-by-Fours]
Elisa Maza, why don't you just take that "sodie pop" can and stick the straw right into New York's eye!

It...is time.

As those of you who follow the Gargoyles/SpecSpidey community on Formspring probably know, I've been asking the question "What is your opinion on Greg Weisman?" to each player in turn over the course of about five months, and recording their responses here. Well, the AskGreg queue's finally back open again, and the number of players seems to have stabilized pretty well...so it is finally time for me to compile them all and send 'em along to the big guy himself.

For posterity, I'm going to record them all here first in one giant, sorted list; Todd, if there's an issue with any one of these individual responses vis-a-vis the "idea rule," please let me know and I'll remove it from the list before sending it along to Greg W.

So now, without further ado, time to clog the Comment Room immensely...

THE CAST OF "GARGOYLES"

Goliath: Who?

Elisa Maza: I loved his work on "Captain Atom."

Okay, I admit it, I love comic books.

Hudson: I prefer Celebrity Hockey.

Brooklyn: "Young Justice" kicks ass. I watch it with Gnash, Broadway, Lex, and Angela every week.

Lexington: I don't know how he put up with so many people asking him about my future mate....

Broadway: He writes some of the best shows on TV!

Angela: Oh, he's a magnificent writer! I love how he brings Shakespeare into every one of his shows in many different ways.

Coldstone: Isn't he responsible for that show that Nashville, Brooklyn, Angela, and Lexington always watch?

Coldfire: I watch some of his shows with Nashville, Brooklyn, Lexington, Angela, and Broadway...I enjoy a storyteller who is respectful towards all religious beliefs.

Katana: I do not know him.

Nashville: He's cool.

Bronx: *BARKS HAPPILY!*

Fu-Dog: Arrr?

Matt Bluestone: Greg Weisman? Nashville was talking about him just the other day; that and some show called "Young Justice." From what I hear, Weisman is one clever individual.

Officer Morgan Morgan: He's that truck driver Mysterio attacked last year and Spider-man pulled him out of the river, right?

I read about him in the paper...*yawns*

Oh boy...I did NOT get enough sleep last night...

David Xanatos: I would love to acquire him for my Pack Media division.

Owen Burnett: A very talented and creative individual. Mr. Xanatos has charged me with acquiring him for our Pack Media division. Unfortunately, he seems quite personally invested in his current project at Warner Bros. Animation.

Fox: He would have been a great addition to Pack Media Studios.

Alexander Fox Xanatos: Apparently pop was trying to hire him away from Warner Bros. Don't blame him for not leaving, Young Justice is pretty kick-ass. Robin's my fav.

Demona: He is a human.

Thailog: I'm thinking of starting my own studio. I might just hire him.

Shari: Greg Weisman is a storyteller…and a good one. I think we're very much alike. I'd love to meet him and trade stories. Maybe I'll get to meet him if my boss is serious about hiring him to develop a new show.

Brentwood: greg wiseman smart

Doctor Anton Sevarius: The man certainly understands DRAMA!

Sir Peredur fab Ragnal: I like him.

Duval: I don't know him. Edmund Tsabard however, is part of our organization.

Quincy Hemings: I recall ol' Edmund saying a few things 'bout him. He didn't like him much…which means this Greg must be a rather decent guy.

Falstaff: He's a truck driver, right?

Points: My name is Points, he killed my father, prepare to die---Just kidding.

Pistol: ...

Bardolph: *BREATHS FIRE*

Mistress Quickly: Young Justice is entertaining...I like Kid Flash, he amuses me.

Mistress Doll: Ever met Edmund Tsabard? He's far more fun--and interesting--than that stick-in-the-mud Greg Weisman.

Macbeth: A fine bard and storyteller. My old friend, Will, would take to him instantly.

King Arthur Pendragon: I have not met this man, but I have heard nothing but good things.

Sir Griff: I'm having an existential crisis here.

Merlin: Oh yes...I do believe in God. What was your question again?

Lady Blanchefleur: I've heard all about this 'Edmund Tsabard' character he seems to dislike so much.

Lady Nimue: Isn't he a truck driver...?

Morgana le Faye: I do not know this man.

Prospero: He plans to use me.

He ALWAYS planned to use me, it is OBVIOUSLY the next step, STOP suggesting to him that he should use me, LOGICALLY you can see that he would have gotten around to using me, Caliban, and Ariel as well.

Stop thinking that you should get credit for the idea too. Because if you think that you should, you're an idiot...

John Castaway: I believe that I share a name with his younger brother.

Coldsteel: Why should I care?

Coyote 6.0: I do not know him.

Wolf: Hack writer.

Jackal: His shows are so pretentious.

Hyena: That guy thought he was too good to write for our show. What's wrong with simple plots that are all about punching and kicking things? But no...Mr. Stuck Up there has to have "plot twists" and "character development" and all that other high and mighty crap.

Well, Michael Bay is the king of the box office, and no one gives a crap about...err...anyone who ever wins one of those lame awards. So, shows like ours for the win! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The Tasmanian Tiger: I hear he sounds just like Osborn's lackey Donald Menken. That could come in handy at some point...

The Director: I am unfamiliar with him. Edmund Tsabard on the other hand is one of our high-priority targets.

Robyn Canmore: His sister has the same name I do.

Dingo: I love that guy!

Matrix: A database search indicates that he is an American Animation Writer. Is often confused for Edmund Tsabard who is wanted by Interpol, and as such Greg Weisman is often detained by airport security.

Yama: He's been to Ishimura once.

Fang: Never met him, but that Edmund Tsabard is a good pal O' mine.

Gunther Sturluson: I don't know any wise man, but a man named Edmund Tsabard passed through here a few years ago. He tried to lock Papa and me in the cave too.

Rory Dugan: Big fan, just wish more of his shows got released on DVD in region 2.

Natsilane: Didn't he live on a street named after our island?

Fara Maku: *Briefly changes back*

I admire my fellow storytellers...

*Transforms back into Panther-Form.*

Travis Marshall: I don't really watch television except for the news.

Doctor Jay Sato: I enjoyed his work on the dub of 3x3 Eyes. I think he's quite talented.

Terry Chung: I love "Young Justice". I hope we get to see more of Hawkgirl; I've always been fond of Hawkgirl.

Amanda Chung: Terry liked... likes Young Justice.

Officer Tri Chung: Used to have a roommate by that name.

Talon: He's working with Sevarius!! ARE YOU HELPING HIM?

Delilah: Is this someone I should know about?

Claw: :D

Thug: I like him. He's a good guy, and loves his kids.

Erin: I feel like I know him from somewhere... Didn't we meet him at a truck stop one time, Benny?

Benny: Yeah, Erin...I think we did...

Or maybe we just remember his name from the Young Justice credits..

Zafiro: I do not know this Amigo.

Obsidiana: I refer you to my mate's answer.

Kai: I do not know him, but a dishonorable man by the name of Edmund Tsabard passed through Ishimura a few years back, asking about Paris...

Sora: I do not know him either, but as Kai said, Edmund Tsabard passed through Ishimura some time ago...the beast actually had the nerve to ask me to model for him. Yama decided to introduce the pig to his katana.

The man lives...but is forbidden to enter Ishimura again on pain of death.

Una: He is a human. Hopefully NOT a Quarryman.

Leo: Don't care right now...

Constance: Isn't he a writer?

Staghart: He's the bloody Joss Whedon of Animation, what more needs to be said?

Lunette: Gnash got me hooked on Young Justice when he was here.

Old Pog: I have no idea who that is, you young whipper-snapper.

Princess Katharine: I dinnae know him. Should I?

Tom: I dinnae know this man...

Gabriel: I have never left this island, so I do not know this "Wise man."

Ophelia: I don't know, who is he?

Boudicca: *Cocks head quizzically, as if to ask..."Who's that?"*

Lord Oberon: A mortal man. Nothing more. Although I did meet him during the 1,001 years. I had a weakness for comics in the 80s and watched him put his own "Thumbprint" on Watchmen.

Not that he knew who I was.

Lady Titania: He is interesting, as far as humans go.

The Puck: Ah, now there's a storyteller who's been accurate about more things than that Shakespeare fellow ever was.

The Weird Sisters: We will consult the Scrying Cauldron...Double, Double, Toil and Trouble, Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble!

Ah yes, he is a human bard with great potential.

Anubis: He will die.

Thoth: I like him, he does his research.

Set: Wasn't he the mortal who gave my bore of a stepson a guest star role in one of his TV shows, over my own magnificent self? What was he thinking? I've more natural charisma and screen presence in my snout then dog-breath has in his whole body.

Odin: A gifted storyteller, but a mortal one...so like most, inconsequential in the grand scheme of things.

Coyote the Trickster: An excellent Trickster in his own right...

Raven: I know the street he grew up on quite well. An amusing trickster, for a mortal.

Anansi: I love a good storyteller...

The Banshee: I care not about these mortals!

Lady of the Lake: A mortal bard, much in the vein of Malory or Shakespeare.

I liked W.I.T.C.H.

The Green Knight: He has passed my test.

Ariel: An excellent storyteller.

Caliban: You have no idea what he has in mind for me, so it's a little odd to be challenged on the point.

Nought: ....

Queen Mab: I have little interest in mortal bards. Kill him.

Boreas: I have not met any humans other then Elisa Maza and Terry Chung. I'm afraid I do not know enough of this individual to form an opinion.

Taurus: A human writer who is fond of the bastard murderer Theseus. I do not care for him.

Talos: Records indicate that he is a human writer of some note.

Sphinx: That sounds like a human name. Is that a human name?

Kiron: Who is that?

Helios: Taurus isn't too fond of him.

Ekidna: He is a threat to New Olympus, like all humans.

Jove: Should I know who that is?

Proteus: I like all humans...they interest me...

The Stone of Destiny: His Destiny is an interesting one...

The Holy Grail: He is worthy to seek the Grail, should he accept the Quest.

The Phoenix: Tssseeeeeeeeeerrrr!!!!!

THE CAST OF "THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN" (AND THE WIDER MARVEL UNIVERSE)

Spider-Man: Didn't he write that song "The Will To Love?" I love that song. Oh, and "Young Justice" kicks ass too.

Peter Parker: "W.I.T.C.H." was pretty awesome and "Young Justice" kicks ass!

Gwen Stacy: I loved "W.I.T.C.H." I even dressed up as Nerissa for Halloween about two years ago.

Harry Osborn: My dad says real men don't watch cartoons.

Mary Jane Watson: I would voice act in one of his animated series any time. I'm actually just a tad jealous of the talented lady voicing Black Canary in "Young Justice."

Flash Thompson: Hmmm... *remembers watching the second season of W.I.T.C.H.* Um, never heard of him.

Sally Avril: Never heard of him! Is this some kinda geek thing?

Rand Robertson: S'cool. I like his shows. Sally didn't like watching cartoons, so I have some catching up to do on Young Justice, I only caught the pilot cuz' she was out of town that weekend.

J. Jonah Jameson: I HATE TELEVISION! HOW DARE THAT MAN ROT THE MINDS OF OUR NATION'S YOUTH WITH THAT MINDLESS ANIMATED DRIVEL ON TELEVISION!

OUR CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE WATCHING THE ADVENTURES OF MASKED VIGILANTE'S! HE'S GLORIFYING THAT BEHAVIOR AND THE LAST THING WE NEED ARE OUR KIDS IMITATING SPIDER-MAN!

Betty Brant: I don't know about Weisman, but Edmund Tsabard came through New York last month and rocked my world.

Ned Lee: I interviewed him about Young Justice once. He kinda reminds me of one of Betty's friends.

May Parker: Oh, he's that nice man that I met at the play the other evening...

Captain George Stacy: I remember sitting down with Gwen to watch the latest episode of W.I.T.C.H. when she was younger. Things seemed a lot simpler back then.

Doctor Ashley Kafka: His characters are always so fascinatingly complex.

The Green Goblin: He writes the best villains in all of animation. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Norman Osborn: I don't think I've ever heard of him.

Emily Osborn: I do not watch cartoons.

Doctor Octopus: An incompetent hack. Now Edmund Tsabard, there's a real writer!

The Vulture: Didn't he tell me that I'm old once?

Electro: "Young Justice" rocks, just wish Red Arrow appeared more. He's cool!

Sandman: Who's that?

The Rhino: Who cares? I just wanna crush that stupid Web-head!

Kraven the Hunter: He would not survive the Hunt...

Mysterio: He creates awesome animated experiences and doesn't afraid of anything.

The Terrible Tinkerer: Met him once, he tried to buy the license to my Homunculi so he could make a cartoon about them.

The Homunculi: MAMA! MAMA!

Venom: We loved the second season of W.I.T.C.H.

...

Yeah, we like W.I.T.C.H.! Anybody want to make something of it?

Tombstone: I do not concern myself with second-rate writers.

Hammerhead: Never heard o' him.

Shocker: He works for Osborn, doesn't he?

Chameleon (in the guise of Norman Osborn): I've already answered this question, so stop wasting my time. I've got a company to run.

Black Cat: I don't know him, but I have modeled for Edmund Tsabard.

Roderick Kingsley: I have no opinion on Weisman. Edmund Tsabard, on the other hand, designed a cologne for us that he promised would be a true aphrodisiac. He was right, but it was so effective that the F.D.A. refused to approve of it.

Tsabard was fired, and the cologne is only available in Thailand now.

Colonel Nick Fury: Never met him, but S.H.I.E.L.D. has been trying to take down Edmund Tsabard for years.

Jessica Drew: Captain Atom was a great comic.

Baron von Strucker: He is a Jew and I am the leader of a neo-Nazi terrorist organization, what do you think my opinion of him is?

Thor: He would be a worthy addition to the Warriors Three. They would have to change their team name, though. I'm working on a concept I like to call the "Warriors Four".

Loki: I would have loved to see his take on me.

Doctor Doom: He helped create "Max Steel," so Doom will...admit that he is a "cool guy."

General Thunderbolt Ross: He's a fine writer but personally, I prefer that Peter David fella.

Deadpool: Greg Weisman? Didn't I run trucks with him? No, that guy called himself Edmund...or Eddie...or Ed. No, he is vengeance, he is the night, he is GREG WEISMAN! No, he was sent to Earth from his dying world, and under the yellow Sun he has powers beyond any mortal man. No, wait, does he have radioactive blood? Can he swing from a web? He does whatever a spider can. He's Greg Weisman! No, that's not right. Oh wait! He did that show about those guys with wings that saved people! I liked that show...why did they ever cancel it?

RANDOM OTHER RESPONDENTS

Behemoth: Who?

Montmarte: I have never heard of this Monsieur Weisman.

Montparnasse: Hmmm...I am not certain...the name seems familiar...

Would you pass me that Case of Self-Indulgence please? I think that it would go perfectly in this soup...

Angelique: I do not know many humans...and the last one I met...a man named Edmund Tsabard...made me very uncomfortable...

Left Bank: *HAPPY BARK*!!!

Diabolique: He is a human.

Thomeheb: I prefer Edmund Tsabard...He just has that...Down home touch that reminds me of Gay Paree!

Count Dracula: Another mortal author who seeks to disseminate my secrets to the masses.

Maleficent (from "Sleeping Beauty"): I like Walt Disney better.

Dr. Facilier (from "The Princess and the Frog"): Man keeps gettin' the shaft.

Don Karnage (from "Tale Spin"): His cartoons are most amusing to me.

Sarah Williams (from "Labyrinth"): I like some of his stuff, moreso when I was younger. I'm more of a Henson girl though.

Jareth the Goblin King (from "Labyrinth"): A decent storyteller, not quite on par with the mortal Jim Henson.

Buffy Summers (from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"): I did use to watch W.I.T.C.H. with Dawn.

The Doctor (from "Doctor Who"): Never met him personally, but heard good things. If you think what he's done is impressive, you wait until you see what he's going to do.

Kim Possible (from…well, "Kim Possible"): I loved watching W.I.T.C.H.

Avatar Aang (from "Avatar: The Last Airbender"): I've heard good things about him.

Gwen Tennyson (from "Ben 10"): I liked W.I.T.C.H., especially Will.

Aquaman (from "Batman: Brave and the Bold"): Certain projects shall be seen through or the Brothers Warner and I shall have "words".

Death (from Neil Gaiman's "Sandman"): I loved W.I.T.C.H. Too bad it seems that all the shows he does get cancelled too soon. Gives me a bad feeling about Young Justice; I like Miss Martian on that show.

The Spectacular Spider-Pony (…don't ask): My cutie mark is him and Lauren Faust bro-fisting.

Once again, sorry for the clogging of the CR. But for anyone who wants to see these all finally compiled into one place...well, here ya go. :D

Man, 2010 was a crazy year. Remember when the monolith turned Jupiter into a star? Good times.

Congrats, Siren!

(Incidentally, BattleBeast was ninth, and we're still waiting on tenth. I think this is the slowest countdown we've ever had in this room.)

Of Siren hasn't been away from this room that long has she? I definitely want to wish her congratulations should she happen to visit the CR this week :D

Thanks for the news, Battle Beast :)

If anyone remembers Siren from this comment room (and the Fandom), well she had her baby today. :D

Todd:For Xanatos, a few other quote options that I think would work well...

"You know what they say about that, Owen: Pay a man enough, and he'll walk barefoot into Hell."

"I've always considered myself a...Trickster at heart."

"You're taking this much too personally!"

"I'd say I've still got the Edge."

8th.

The library where I work has a book in its reference section called "The Encyclopedia of Super-Villains". As the title implies, most of the villains in it are from super-hero comic books, but there are also some from other media (Morgan le Fay from the Arthurian cycle, Sycorax - Caliban's witch-mother - from "The Tempest", Mr. Hyde from "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", Sauron and Morgoth from Tolkien's works, Captain Hook from "Peter Pan", the Wicked Witch of the West from "The Wizard of Oz", etc.). Most of the entries also contain a characteristic quote from that villain.

The book was published in 1987, so naturally, there aren't any characters from "Gargoyles" in it. But if an updated edition of the book were to come out that included Xanatos and Demona (and if you're including antagonists from "Gargoyles", those two would definitely have to be in it), what quotes would you give their entries?

For Xanatos: his line from the end of "Leader of the Pack" about revenge being a sucker's game would be near the top; it shows how different he is from most "big bads" in animated series. His exchange with Hudson in "The Price", when Hudson says "Growing old terrifies you, doesn't it?" and Xanatos retorts "Nothing terrifies me, because nothing is beyond my ability to change", would also be appropriate, except you'd need Hudson's line to feel the full force of Xanatos's words (including the hint that Xanatos indeed does fear old age, but won't admit it), and the quotes section in the book never included dialogue.

For Demona: either "Humanity is our enemy, Goliath", or "What have I - what have THEY done to you?" (The scene in the TimeDancer story in "Clan-Building" where she places revenge on the humans who slaughtered the gargoyles in the Sruighlea cell higher than giving those gargoyles a Wind Ceremony is a great Demona moment as well, showing just how eaten up by her search for revenge she's become, but as with Xanatos' line in "The Price" above, it needs another character's lines - True's, in this case - to work.)

For a while in late '01-02, they did skip "Outfoxed". My guess would be that an episode featuring an aircraft flying towards a building wouldn't have been considered proper at the time. They also skipped "Upgrade" for no earthly reason that I can think of. I never knew them to skip "Cloud Fathers" though.

In a roundabout way I am kind of glad they did skip a couple of episodes. If they hadn't, I wouldn't have searched online to figure out which episodes I was missing, and then I'd have never known there was a fandom.

Wingless: I know for a fact that they re-ran "Cloud Fathers" when I was back home for the summer, because I TiVo-ed it. Since I don't bother to TiVo the episodes I own on DVD, I have no idea if it's the same with "Outfoxed," but I'd very much doubt that they'd skip it.

I'll take the Fifth this week.

Question for anyone still watching Gargoyles. Just wondering if Disney XD is airing "Outfoxed" & "Cloud Fathers". I've yet to see Outfoxed air here, but it's one I could have missed, but I know for certain that when they were supposed to air Cloud Fathers(Even their website stated it), they re ran Heritage.

Wingless

I'll fourth that.

Since I'm not foolish enough to stand up on the other side of that duel, I believe that I shall simply claim third and be on my merry way.
