There's nothing in canon that says for sure Owen is asexual- some people are just very private about their romantic/sexual lives. Owen could have a girlfriend/boyfriend/friend with benefits that we just never see. Conversely, there's nothing to say that he isn't asexual. It'd be entirely a guess based solely on what's in the show, and I have no trouble seeing him as asexual. Being a workaholic who's also stiff and "no fun" does not necessarily indicate anything about someone's sexuality, and is actually an unfair stereotype. However, since Puck basically created Owen as a stereotype of a super-dull human, I could see why he'd pick that as his sexual preference.

I've read Bishansky's latest fic, and enjoyed it.

[SPOILER] Demona getting her own gargoyle beast reminds me of a very bad creativity demon I once had where she acquired either a dog or a gargoyle beast with the unlikely name of Spot. Unfortunately, it's extremely unruly, ripping everything in her house to shreds, until she evicts it with the words - well, Demona's "Lady Macbeth"-ish atmosphere should give you some idea to what they were. Bishansky's depiction of her beast-adopting is a lot more probable than my idea, of course.

I definitely agreed with the Xanadu clan's philosophy of "the beast chooses you". When I went out some years ago to adopt a kitten after my old cat passed on, the one I found picked me more than I picked her - pawing at me in the Human Society room where I first met her, until she got my attention.
