Can someone please to me what on earth Kidd/Hero is, please? Greg's talked about it in little tidbits, but it all seems to be some secret, unmade project that Greg is never allowed to fully talk about.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

(If I needed to correct that.)

Green Lantern's Nightlight

WB: Just make Young Justice season 3; we're handle the rest.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Hey Greg,

Great to hear that Young Justice is coming back, it's honestly one of my favorites shows of all time, I feel it has a bit more depth behind it dealing with a younger generation, and think it's amazing.

Looking forward to season 3

I guess the anonymous guy was backing me up to some degree. Although, I didn't appreciate the drama queen crack, or the assumption from Brainiac that I was putting people down. I'm not sure where that comes from?

This is past 1am, so things happen.

Green Lantern's Nightlight

I wasn't rude to begin with. There's no need to get rude just because you don't like what you're hearing. My view is my view sorry the "anonymous guy" and others who see it different. I don't really care about the facts, I just see it as cancelled. Maybe it's not that black and white, but I just see it the way it is.

To me, hiatuses are for shows that have not been ended, and are just on breaks between the time they need to pace out episodes while new ones are being made. Not for shows that are more or less dead, i.e. cancelled.

And for the record, I'm not being a drama queen. If I acted in any way, I was acting off of how Brainiac was talking about me.

And if you're going to be rude, at least have the balls to give yourself an identity.

Green Lantern's Nightlight

ANON> W&TXM would probably make for a better example than YJ of what you're talking about.

Beyond that, we're just debating semantics.

Algernon
I guard your death

Algernon> In hindsight yes, but before it came back, no one could state it would with any certainty. I could also say that the Wolverine and the X-Men have been on hiatus since 2009 because its cancellation was never spelled out. That's moronic.
Anonymous

ANON> Except it WAS temporary and someone DID resume it as some point.
Algernon
I guard your death

Chip & Brainiac> GLN IS a drama queen, but that doesn't make him wrong or either of you right. You can twist words and push a watermelon up your arse holes to force your point across all you like, but it won't fit.

Only because a television network doesn't put out a press release announcing that a certain show has been cancelled, that doesn't mean some higher-up hasn't said "this show is over". Hiatus means "a break or interruption in the continuity of a work". The key words are "break" and "interruption", which by definition are not permanent. That's why there's the word "hiatus" and "cancellation". You can't say that "YJ WAS on a hiatus" because you have no grounds to assume that it was temporary and someone would resume it as some point.

But by all means, bask in wishful thinking all you like.

Anonymous

GLN> Greg? Where?

And no, I'm not "trying to avoid seeing the truth"; I care about accuracy (hence my pointing out your usage of Greg rather than Chip or Algernon). It's why the "he" in my first paragraph referred to YOU, saying you were as technically correct about the comic ending as Chip was pointing out that YJ was "on hiatus." I don't care about loopholes, I just don't find your extreme negativity and pessimism helpful or necessary.

If you want to say YJ WAS axed, feel free, but Chip's correct in it being technically inaccurate. Doesn't change the fact that it isn't anymore. And I'll sleep just fine regardless of whatever state Darkwing, Gargoyles, Futurama, or any other media property I enjoy or have enjoyed is currently in.

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!

Oh, that hurt, Brainiac. I'm crying my eyes out.

Saying it's not cancelled is just saving you and Greg from seeing the truth of what's really happened, and trying to get a loophole out of cancellation. Wording is everything to some people, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what is happening now, YJ has axed no matter how you want to look at it. You can say "hiatus" if it helps you sleep at night.

Green Lantern's Nightlight

Chip> Technically, he's correct (THE BEST KIND OF CORRECT...if you're a 31st century bureaucrat). The current run has ended. Whether hiatus or cancellation, nothing new is coming down the pipe at the moment. Now, the point about all hope being gone is completely inaccurate hyperbole, which, frankly, if GLN can't admit that, he's just being pessimistic for little purpose other than dragging down others or overprotecting his own fragile emotions.

Also, since I referenced it above, I would refer you to the history of Futurama. At this point, I default to that production merely being on hiatus given the number of times it's been revived.

You can say 'patahto' all you like. That doesn't make you correct.

If you've ever taken a road trip through the Pacific northwest, you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It's not on any maps, and most people have never heard of it. Some people think it's a myth. But if you're curious, don't wait. Find it. It's out there somewhere in the woods. Waiting.

You say potayto, I say potahto.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

Green Lantern's Nightlight--Strictly speaking, Young Justice WAS on Hiatus. It was never cancelled. It was simply not renewed. Cancellation indicates an active choice to not make any more. The Gargoyles Comics were cancelled because SLG couldn't afford the license anymore. The Spectacular Spider-man was cancelled because Disney bought Marvel. Young Justice wasn't cancelled. They just took three years (and a fan campaign) to renew.

The Darkwing Duck Comicis in exactly that boat. Disney hasn't made a decision to continue it yet, but they haven't cancelled it either. Hence, it is indeed on Hiatus.

Next you'll be saying Young Justice was on hiatus.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

He never told me it was on hiatus. He did say that it ended before, so it could come back again.
Green Lantern's Nightlight

GNL> According to Aaron Sparrow, it's simply on hiatus.
Algernon
I guard your death

Joe Books' Darkwing Duck has ended, leaving all hope gone.

May have to watch the second half of season 2 again. Just found my official dvd tonight!
Nickerous

Of course, I still root for an official version over any crap I churn out. "The Weird Macbeth" is an idea I fell in love with ages ago.
Greg Bishansky - [Sorrows to the Stones]

Sixth.

ALGERNON - Thanks for posting about Bishansky's story. The "Weird Macbeth" idea is one of my favorites "untold stories" that Greg Weisman had planned, and if we can't get the official version, Bishansky's story fills that void.

Fourth! Good to see you over here, Mara.

When shall we three meet again?
In thunder, lightning, or in rain?
