Todd> Darkwing Duck is supposed to be in the new Ducktails, word on the grapevine is that he may get his own spinoff depending on how well the reboot does.

Sorry for the double post, but the new opener of the "Ducktales" reboot aired today. I noticed mentions of Cape Suzette and St. Canard, as well as a few references to Carl Barks' work that (as far as I know) didn't make it into the original "Ducktales" (such ss the names of Donald Duck's parents). And Donald will evidently be playing a larger role in the new version than in the original.

BRAINIAC - Yes, but I'd still like to experience a total solar eclipse someday. (I don't know whether I'd have managed it if I'd stayed in St. Louis, since I might not have been able to get off work to travel to a place within the totality range. Moot point now.)

Todd> Yeah, according to the maps I've seen, Phoenix will get about 63% solar coverage at maximum. Still, you'll get a decently long partial eclipse to enjoy from about 9:15 AM to noon (maximum is at around 10:30 AM).

St. Louis is indeed right on the edge with 99.99% solar coverage. By comparison, I'm gonna get about 90% coverage here in southwestern Ohio, but if I took the day off and drove about 4 hours to Hopkinsville, Kentucky (http://www.eclipseville.com/), I'd get the best/longest view of the total eclipse at 2 minutes and 40 seconds of totality.

It's been almost a hundred years since the last coast-to-coast eclipse (June 8, 1918). I'm looking forward to this.

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!

I'd certainly like to see it; unfortunately, Phoenix (where I now live) is well outside the eclipse zone. (Until about two and a half years ago, I lived in St. Louis, which is near the total eclipse zone, but not in it - so if I'd stayed there, I might not have gotten to see it either. Though it would be much easier to get to the total eclipse zone from St. Louis than from Phoenix.) I hope I can someday be at a solar eclipse; I remember reading about them as a boy, including how daytime animals act as if it's night, and would like to experience such an event (reading about it or seeing it on television just isn't the same).

What day is it, again?

August TENTH?

All right then.

So, who's looking forward to the total solar eclipse in about a week and a half?

SPEN - Yes, I think it's a pity as well that the comment room is so quiet. I suspect it's partly due to so many of us being busy with other things, not to menton it's been so long since any new "Gargoyles" material came out. And maybe a lot of people prefer to just lurk and not post. (I'm usually one of them.)
