I'm sort of wondering how big a part Hobgoblin would have played after how big a part of the second season the Green Goblin was. Might be a little too repetitious. But I imagine in particular the first part of the season would have either allowed a breath of fresh air after how intense the end of season 2 was, or it'd deal with the power vacuum created by the death/disappearance of the Goblin.

Brainiac: While Cloak & Dagger may have debuted in a Spider-Man book, I'd be very surprised if they were part of the "Spider-Man license" which encompassed the only characters Sony was allowed to incorporate.

Yes I had considered Roderick Kingsley's Hobgoblin as well, most likely getting his hands on Osborne's goblin paraphernalia out of revenge for being screwed out of the Rhino formula.
Though this does bring to mind another question, would he jump right into the costume or use Hobgoblin proxies like he did in the comics?

Considering that we've already seen Hobgoblin on Spec Spidey, or rather the man who was going to become Hobgoblin, we know he wanted to be a player. And that he was very cool, collected, and cunning. His twin brother, on the other hand....

Yeah, I'd say Hobby being the primary would make sense. Or maybe Son of Gobby like a certain Radio Play had. Not to mention that if you bring in Mister Negative, I think Cloak and Dagger are a requirement as well (though just Martin Li would be fine, you could set up all the characters before their changes occur by just having Tandy and Tyrone in the background somewhere as well).

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!

Based on the (extremely sparse) details we've gotten from Greg's lips on the potential plotlines of Season 3, I'd wager the most likely "new player" in the New York underworld would've been the Hobgoblin.

So I was re-watching the trailer for the PS4 Spider-man game (as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4zm30yeHHE) and I noticed that within the game's context Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin is currently in prison and Martin Li/Mr. Negative and his gang the Demons are moving in on his territory.
My question is this, could we have seen something like this in Spectacular Spider-Man's 3rd season? With Osborne out of the country, Tombstone MIA, Doctor Octopus' Sinister Six broken apart and Silvermane back in prison we're left with another power vacuum with plenty of room for new villains.
Now we know that Greg was considering Mr. Negative for the show, so would season 3 be the right spot for a new player like him to be introduced into the organized crime business?

I've heard three people have died to Ophelia, sincerely hope it doesn't get any larger.
Oh and sixth.

Seeing as how there's been a fair amount of discussion regarding the new Ducktales lately... Huey, Dewey, and Louie!

Incidentally, I have also been greatly enjoying the reboot. (Even as someone who never watched the original series or read the comics.)
