Got to meet Black Beetle himself Kevin Grevioux. Guy's pretty insightful and witty though he does have a pretty intimidating presence not to mention his normal laugh sounds exactly like Black's evil laugh.

I hope we can get an original version of that pic of Artemis, Dick, Jefferson, and Conner in their new costumes. The photos of the slideshow from ComicCon get the idea across but I'd love to be able to see details.

Surprised to see the SLG books have come down a bit in value: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gargoyles-Clan-Building-Volume-Two-One-2-1-by-Greg-Weisman-SLG-Disney-Comic/123011628243?hash=item1ca4107cd3:g:DO4AAOSw8RZaZ8yW

I remember when these babies were going for $2k.

Gargoyles need not apply.

Sometimes things get missed.

Personally, I think it was a piece of Thailog's skin. The only major fights at the castle after that were Kingdom and The Gathering Part Two... and those were mostly contained to small areas. Oberon didn't do too much damage to the castle, and the cannons in Kingdom damaged the back half of the castle more than anything.

It was established in "Awakening, Part Two" that Xanatos had a clean-up crew to clean up and repair the damage done to Castle Wyvern, so I always thought that that was standard operating procedure following every attack on the castle (and there were quite a few).

I therefore find it quite odd that that clean-up crew could have failed to sweep up a piece of stone skin that must have been left by one of the gargoyles long before the most recent attack on castle as of "Hunter's Moon." I wonder if it was deliberately placed for Jon Canmore to find it?

Hooray, happy equinox! Let's all sing the Equinox Song:

Hello Administrator. I'd like to call to your attention that I inadvertently repeated two questions on July 1, 2017 and July 14, 2017. I'm a little embarrassed about it. You may wish to spare Greg the headache of responding to these questions by deleting them. These are the only two questions of mine that are repeats. My head must have been in the clouds those days. Thanks.

You know, I hope that the reason Kaldur's s3 design hasn't been released yet is because he's got a whole new look and hero ID. He's got to be, what, mid-20s? He cannot still call himself Aqualad at this point. And, well, the current look is pretty nice, but a changeup wouldn't go amiss.

(Hoping the torso gill-marks stick around, I like those.)

A Happy Hatching for Artus and the growing Manhattan rookery (and of course, to the other eight* rookeries around the globe)!

*I know the Labyrinth Clan will be contributing eggs to the future Liberty Clan on Queen Florence island rookery in 2198, but a quick dive in the s8 archives show GregW keeping mum if/when the Labyrinth Clan will have their own rookery to safeguard their eggs.

Happy hatching, Artus! And hopefully a happy hatching for many rookery sibs as well.

Hard to believe it's been ten years since we talked about Angela and Broadway conceiving Artus... and nine and a half years since we discussed Angela laying the egg! When I was younger, gargoyle reproduction seemed so slow, but now it feels like the generations come so fast.

I suspect gargoyles would consider a lot of the "hatching day" discussion to be part of that bewildering tendency of humans to categorize and classify everything, the same tendency that manifests itself in insisting upon naming everything.

Congratulations, Artus. You hatch in time for the fourth nor'easter inside a month!

Adam> Just saying, totally a hatching NIGHT for a gargoyle. Whether arbitrarily labeled ante meridiem or post meridiem.

Well, I don't consider a day over just when darkness falls. Does St. Patrick's Day end at dusk? Does Christmas Day end at dusk?

Besides, we don't know if eggs hatch before dawn or after dusk.

Adam

Hatching DAY, Adam? How speciesist of you. Heh-heh-heh.

Also, I'm still not convinced Sev won't be getting his syringes into that egg.

Happy hatching day Artus (and hopefully Brooklyn and Katana's third child).
Adam

We interrupt your regularly scheduled count to inform you that the 2018 vernal equinox (autumnal if you're in the Southern Hemisphere) has arrived. Everyone wish a happy hatching night (or close to it) to Artus.

Headed to Wonder Con for the weekend and I'm sad to say that it doesn't look like DC is going to be doing anything on their new streaming service. I was hoping to hear about anything new for Young Justice but from the look of things we may not get anything new until Comic Con.

Oh and sixth.
