8th!

My first post in here this year. Never thought I'd get to be like that... oh well. I've been posting in here for nearly 20 years. I think I needed a break.

As for the chances of more Gargoyles, they've always been low. We got a small surge about ten years ago with the DVDs and comics. But that time is over and the fandom seems to have gotten even smaller since. So, odds are not favorable. It pains me to say that. It'll always be loved and never be forgotten, but I don't think we'll see new material in the future. Unfortunately.

Good to see that this room is still going.

Thanks, Matthew!

Do you people think Gargoyles has a chance of revival with Disney+?

Daniel

Hi Daniel and welcome to the chatroom!
Unfortunately Greg doesn't tend to visit as he's usually busy with other projects, any questions you have can be directed here: https://www.s8.org/gargoyles/askgreg/ask.php

Be sure to read through the guidelines before submitting any questions.

Now, I can tell you that he's finishing up some last minute details for the third season of Young Justice. And he's working on a tie-in novel for the card game Magic the Gathering titled Ravnica: War of the Spark. You can find out more about it here: https://mtg.gamepedia.com/Ravnica:_War_of_the_Spark

Hey, Mr Weisman. Now that season 3 has been put in a can, what are you working on?

I know the article only mentions that the list of Disney+ tv series is just a 'sampling of content available at launch', but boy, its kinda a bummer not to see Gargoyles in that sampling, especially since 80s and 90s fare like DuckTlaes, Goof Troop, and Boy Meets World made the press-release cut.

Here's hoping our favorite show does get some love when Disney+ debuts, and if not, very very soon after.

She stole my food then asked me to help her spy on people. Is this what love feels like?

Here thar be dragons!

Applying science to dragons always reminds me of those "documentaries" from the National Geographic channel.
Of course if there were such secret clutches of dragon eggs, makes me wonder how the world would react to them.

THIRD in the name of Brainiac laying down some white hot science!

Business as usual...

If I could offer a SECOND opinion on your theory at the end of last week, Matthew...I don't think diapause along the lines of insects is typically found in reptilian/lizard life. HOWEVER, they ARE known to have embryonic diapause (though that's more retention prior to laying rather than slowing development after being laid). Between that and known use of hibernacula (same principle as a bear hibernating in a cave), I see no reason a fictional species like dragons couldn't have a few caches of eggs sitting around hidden throughout the world, waiting for an appropriate time to hatch. Almost sounds like gargoyle rookeries, doesn't it?

There is balance in all things. Live in symmetry with the world around you. If you must blow things up and steal from those around you, THAT'S WHAT RPGS ARE FOR!
