What is the lifespan of a member of the space-spawn race?
Does it vary? If so could you tell us the general average?
If you can't tell us that then is it less when compared to a gargoyle? How about when it's compared to that of a human?
I haven't made a decision on this point yet.
What is the religion of the Space-Spawn?
I'm not getting in to this at this time.
Hey Greg
More Space-Spawn questions for you…
1) What kind of anatomy do you see the Space-Spawn having, considering they were "born amidst the fury of an exploding star" I doubt they would be humanoid? Now I know you don't do character designs for very good reasons but I just wanted to know if you had any ideas on this subject.
2) How do the Space-Spawn communicate with each other, vocal chords being useless in the vacuum of space since there's no sound?
3) Would a Space-Spawn be able to survive in earth's atmosphere unaided by technology or magic?
4) Lastly, could you please give us just one part of the reason why the Space-Spawn war started? Some teaser? Some little opener? Some hint? Something?
1. I have very specific ideas, but as you mentioned, I'm not an artist, and I don't feel like tieing the hands of whatever future artist winds up (hopefully) designing the characters.
2. See above.
3. Yes.
4. The Space-Spawn started building their empire without asking for volunteers.
First Greg let me say how honoured I am to by the first poster in the new Space-Spawn category. One of the reasons I'm so fixated with the Space-Spawn is that the more I learn about them the more questions I have. A perfect example of this is the revelation that the Space-Spawn have two gods. As soon as I heard this dozens of questions started popping in my head. The key one being would the Space-Spawn gods be subject to your 'all things are true' policy? If so then the implications are mind boggling, I mean you said alien magic would be a sophisticated concept but alien gods that's really something. Now on with the questions…
1) Do the Space-Spawn gods actually exist?
2) If so did they come into existence before or after the Space-Spawn themselves?
3) What's their opinion of the war?
4) What's their opinion of each other?
5) If you decide to use them, do you predict any S&P problems? I mean Anubis and Odin are okay cause they are real mythological figures (hey I made an oxymoron!) and you can claim educational value but I doubt the folks who accuse Gargoyles of promoting devil-worship will take too kindly to the Space-Spawn gods.
1. I'm not saying at this time.
2. The legends say before. That's all I will say now.
3. I'm not granting the premise of the question, though I'm not disputing it either.
4. In the legends, they are adversaries.
5. I don't understand why I would have any S&P problems creating two fictional gods for a fictional alien race. (You do know that the Space-Spawn are fictional, right?)
I meant "religion" not "religio". (I am such an idiot).
I got that. But thanks for attempting to correct. It is appreciated.
What kind of religio do the Space-Spawn have?
I have not explored this yet.
I've been looking through some of the fAQ links and through the TGS stories and wanted to knoe what the Space Spawn is? How does Brooklyn know about them?
The Space-Spawn are an alien race first mentioned by Nokkar in the episode "Sentinel". You can learn a bit more about them, though not much, by checking out the archives under GARGOYLES 2198 and/or SPACE-SPAWN, THE.
Where did the space-spawn get their tech? I mean they are younger than humans yet they have faster than light drive and mass transporters?
Some of it came from a natural bio-chemical affinity for certain types of technology. They were literally born (forged) to travel in space, for example.
Much of it came from the spoils of war and an efficient and frightening ability to mobilize a war industry to back their war machine.
Good question, though.
Why do the space-spawn require ships if they have molecular transporters?
Transporters are very innefficient energy-wise. And they only work at the speed of light. They are impractical over great distances.
What is the proper title for the N'kai?
Is the proper title for the space-spawn the space-spawn empire?
Is the gargoyles' proper title the gargoyle nation?
What about humans and New Olympians?
I'm not sure what you mean... or when.
