Hey Greg

Is there a reason that so far all the Max Steel Episodes have started with an 'S'?

Thanks! *runs*

Yes.

Okay... Let me try for something less revelatory... You said that Goliath and Elisa would raise a kid together. What *gender* kid? :-)

Greg responds...

Hey, how do you do that particular smiley face.

No. It's missing a nose. Wait a second.

No, that seems like too big a nose.

Large nostrils.

Hell, I just can't figure it out. :(

What was the question?

'THE EDGE' comments.

Not a big favourite. The animation is gorgeous, and the ending is sublime. But the Steel Clan echoed the Foot Clan a bit much for my tastes. I can't remember my first viewing that well, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't expect the red robot to be Xanatos. (Although I should have, because I'd seen 'FUTURE TENSE' a few months previously).

In hindsight, there are several nice touches and the writing is delightful. But it wasn't one of those episodes where the difference between normal action cartoons and 'Gargoyles' leap out and grab you.

I guess I just never liked the Steel Clan.

Greg responds...

Oh, well...

They speak well of you though.

Did Macbeth ever encounter any Gargoyles besides Demona in the centuries between his first 'death' and his first encounter with Goliath's clan in the 20th century?

A couple of questions about, of all things.... Shaving.

1. Xanatos- Electric or old fashioned razor?

2. Owen- Does he need to shave at all, or is a side effect of the "out Vogeled vogel" character include always being clean cut?

The gargs- In the past whenever anyone assumed that Hudson is odd because only has a beard and that the other gargs don't shave, you've basically responded "Who said they didn't". So...

3. *DO* the other gargs need to shave?

4. If so, what do they shave with, particularly Goliath on the Avalon tour?

5. Would Brooklyn ever seriously consider growing a beard, since it'd probably look rather akward on his beak?

6. COuld Brooklyn grow a beard even if he wanted to?

Just an odd tangent I was suddeny inspired to ask. Thanks for your time Greg.

Greg responds...

1. Ask Fox.

2. He shaves.

3. Not Angela.

4. Superman checked in periodically, and volunteered his heat-vision.

5. Would you in his circumstances?

6. Only a Goatee.

We know that Nimue, Blanchefleur,Morgana le Fay and Lady of the Lake are the female Arthurian survivors.
You said that one of them would be traveling with Griff and Arthur. I know it can't be Morgana or Lady of the Lake. So it must be Nimue or Blanchefleur and I am guessing it is Nimue. Can you please tell me if I am right ?

No.

Hi Greg! First, I just wanted to say that Gargoyles is the best show that has ever been on TV. I love it! Anyway, I had a quick question about something in "The Gathering: Part Two". Toward the end of the episode when all the fighing is over, what exactly is Titania supposed to be whispering to Fox? It's been bugging me for a while.

Greg responds...

Join the club. It's a very popular question 'round these parts. I get asked it all the time. Check the archive for prior smart-assed responses that better avoid answering.

Here's a new version of the old question:
Did Titania or Fox even let *you* in on what was whispered between them, or was it strictly a private thing?

Okay, let me ask the 'faster-than-light' question in a different way: As far as I know, current scientific theory holds that all faster-than-light travel is to some extent time-travel as well, which can lead to paradoxes, etc.

So... my question is: In your universe is there faster-than-light travel which is *not* time-travel in any sense?

Greg responds...

Even faster than light travel isn't instantaneous (though it may seem to be depending on the distance travelled). So by definition, any journey takes one not only through space but also through time. Forward, at least.

I realize that isn't the kind of answer you were looking for.

And that amuses me.

1.I found some Gargoyles writers bibles/guides on ebay, how many of those were made? and how much would they be worth?

Greg responds...

How many were made? You mean how many were photocopied? And how many of those photocopies were photocopied? Etc. Etc.

And what would they be worth?

Zip.

Unless they were signed by someone significant. At which point they're worth whatever the autograph is worth. (And if that's me, then we're probably back to zip.)

I mean think about it.

Greg;

1) So if Disney owns the rights to gargoyles, and they are basically forgetting them, why do they want to hold on to the rights?

2) For 250,000,000 would they sell the rights?

3) If someone bought the rights, owened them, and aked you to created whatever you wanted with them, (IE the Master Plan, Pendragon, time Dancer, Etc.) Would you accept? I mean would you go ahead and make new shows, Etc.?

ALL IN THEORY, OF COURSE...

Greg responds...

1. Who said they've forgotten about it? They air the show EVERY night on ToonDisney. And they're developing a Live-Action movie based on it.

2. I'm not gonna dignify this. Sorry.

3. Of course. Let me know when you've raised the cash.

2. Not a lot of fertility specialists on Avalon.

Okay, I realize this is a very insignificant question, but it has been driving me nuts for quite some time. What is wrong with Banquo's eye? If memory serves me, it's his right eye that is sometimes drawn open, and other times closed, like it's been injured (at first I thought it was missing). Is there any reason why that I'm just missing? Thank you for your time.

Greg responds...

Banquo is Popeye's second cousin once removed.

To be perfectly honest, I think the model sheet showed him squinting, and the animators assumed that he was missing an eye or something and gave him a permanent squint. But from scene to scene the squint shifts. We didn't notice the problem until after "Lighthouse" and it was too late to fix it.
