is the technology that allows the Iago and Desdemona robots to heal have anything to do with the Matrix?

Greg responds...

Yes, in a down-graded fashion.

Did Rory Dugan's father know his son was Cuchullain? Or if he didn't, did he know there was something supernaturally odd about Rory?

Greg responds...

No. And no.

I was just driving around yesterday and something came to me that I thought I'd ask you.
In Sentinel, Elisa appears to be kidnapped by this huge... *monster* from the perspective of the doctor and Duane and co. No doubt all sorts of awful thoughts are running through their minds so when they find her again at the end of the episode, I'm sure they really want some answers. So when Elisa suggested to Nokkar that these people could be his new allies and he went off to talk with them, did Nokkar tell them the *whole* story? About who the gargoyles were and that he was the one who gave Elisa her amnesia? If they know about gargoyles now, they could be allies to the clan as well.
Thanks for your time! Happy Holidays!

Greg responds...

Very likely.

1) How does the Matrix's consciousness/mind work? Is it the collective "mind" of all the nanites, or are some nanites assigned the function of being the "brain", and direct the actions of the rest of the nanites?

2) *Must* the nanites obey the collective mind/"brain-nanites", or is it in their capactity to work apart from it?

3) Did the nanites somehow fuse themselves *into* Dingo's body, or do they just form a suit of armor around him?

Greg responds...

1) All of the above.

2) They all do. Whether they "must" or not is a different issue.

3) Just armor around him. Come to the Gathering to see the BAD GUYS Leica Reel and you'll see how Dingo and Matrix interacted.

1) According to his pact with Anansi, was Fara Maku only able to transform a single person into a werepanther? (I'm wondering if there's a number restriction similar to the one for the panther queen and her children).

2) Since Tea didn't make a pact with Anansi, does she have the ability to turn anyone else into a werepanther?

3a) Will Fara and Tea have any children? b) Will the children also carry the werepanther "curse"?

4a) Anansi was obviously real in the Gargoyles Universe, but did the story of the Panther Queen also really happen? b) Would you say the panther queen was "sentient"? c) Would Oberon's non-interference law also apply to her, and if so, how was Anansi able to curse the Panther Queen without breaking the law?

5) Were either the panther queen or her son able to shift back and forth between human and panther forms, like Tea and Fara Maku?

6a) The panther queen and Fara were forced to hunt for Anansi to fulfill their end of the bargain. But what made him think that if he turned Goliath and company into werepanthers, that they would willingly hunt for him? b) How would he have been able to transform them against their will without breaking the non-interference law?

7) Do you have any specific plans involving werepanthers in future episodes?

Greg responds...

1. Yes. Just one.

2. Yes. Just one.

3a. Yes. Just one.

3b. Yes. Just one way or another.

4a. Yes. In one form or another.

4b. Yes. At one time or another.

4c. She messed with him.

5. No.

6a. Blackmail.

6b. Good question.

7. Yes.

Would the coming of all these heroes in the modern age (Arthur, the were-panthers etc.) be for a specific reason, person or event that they are there to oppose, or for a less obvious reason?

Greg responds...

There is purpose.

Is the reason Arthur was put on Avalon the same reason all these heroes have started appearing?

Greg responds...

The reason he was "put" there?

Todd Jensen writes...

A thought that I've had from time to time. In the Gargoyles Universe in the 1990's, a great many "ancient heroes" are being revived in various means all over the planet. Goliath and his clan are awakened from their stone sleep in New York after being trapped by the Magus's spell for a thousand years. King Arthur is awakened from his enchanted sleep on Avalon and returns to the modern world. The Golem is revived in Prague. Cuchulain is reborn as Rory Dugan. (And I could probably add one or two additional heroes who parallel the pattern if ones who are not quite of it - Natsilane finally accepts his destiny on Queen Florence Island, Griff is brought from the Battle of Britain to the 1990's by Goliath to later on join forces with King Arthur, Dingo and the Matrix join forces in Australia, Anansi creates two new werepanthers who, after becoming free of him, decide to become protectors in Nigeria, and the New Olympians at last decide to make contact with the outside world).

My question is: is there an "internal reason" for all these heroes being reawakened in the Gargoyles Universe at approximately the same time? I can guess at the "external reason" (more threads, to form a richer tapestry for the Gargoyles Universe and more stories), but did you develop an "internal reason" for it?

Greg responds...

Yes.
