Hey Mr Greg, just recently discovered gargoyles, great show.
Ok pointless question, but how do you think the Manhattan Clan is doing now after living in, Well Manhattan for 22 years?
No spoilers.
In some ways it seems the surviving Gargoyles were quite lucky with who survived. As Hudson was elderly and the trio were teens, none were in a position to challenge Goliath even if they wanted to. There was a very clear chain of command. There was also no females, so there was no conflict amongst the males about mates up until Angela joined.
1)What would have happened if Goliath had survived with a female group or predominatly female group of Gargoyles such as Hyppolyta, Desdemona or True for example/etc? Would he have felt obligated to take a mate from this group to preserve his species?
2)What if all the survivors were of Goliath's generation? After what happened with Wyvern would these adults in their prime have still accepted Goliath's leadership?(E.G Iago, Coldstone, Desdemona, Hyppolyta etc)
P.S If you think the questions are too general could you please answer regarding the characters that we've met or you've told us about from the Wyvern Clan. Thanks.
1. I'm not interested in hypotheticals.
2. Ditto. It's not about whether the question is too general or specific, it's the very nature of the question that puts me off. Everything is about context. A hypothetical brings no context except what the answerer chooses to add. And for me to create proper context for questions like these, I'd have to write entire series with the revised scenario ... and I'm not about to do that here.
Can you tell us how many members are a part of the Manhattan Clan as of 2010? If so, how many? How many eggs are in the rookery (we know at least 1, but are there more)?
Yes, I could. But no, I won't.
Hey Greg! I just started re-watching Gargoyles and I've got a question for you. Now, Elisa really bought into the whole idea of Gargoyles a little easy and the Gargoyles really adapted to their new lives (and the drastically different version of the English language) really quickly. I know it's a cartoon and we're supposed to be suspended in a bit of disbelief, but looking back, do you ever wish you could have developed these things a bit more?
No.
Is Fu-dog a girl? Why I ask this is because depending on the future of the Manhattan Clan, if Fu-dog's a boy, then there probably won't be any gargoyle beasts in this clan in the future, since Bronx is male.
Fu-Dog is male. But Bronx's mate is Boudicca.
Would any of the Gargoyles have sympathy for Demona knowing how she suffered for those 1000 years or would they think she got what she deserved?
Reactions vary and would vary, given more detail.
Some how I doubt this is your first crossover question, so I'm not going to go all FIRST on this one. Anyway: Which of the villains from Spectuacular Spider-Man do you think would be a good match for the Manhattan Clan, without it being too one sided?
I'll leave that to your imagination, Clark.
If the whole Wyvern Clan survived the massacre and ended up in Manhattan, what would have you named the other members?
Joe Hypothetical. Jane Hypothetical. Hypothetical Doe. Hypothetical Smith. Hypothetical Jones. Jon Hypothetical. Etc.
I just started reading the comics there awesome.
I was just wondering how the gargoyles feel about the human race knowing they exist? Matt wants to cover them up, Xanatos wants to slowly expose them, and of course Castaway wants them all dead. But we don't really know what the Gargoyles want. They seem more concerned with their love lifes.
Don't they though?
However, I think we were pretty clear about Goliath, Angela, Hudson, Brooklyn and Broadway's responses in issues 1 & 2. I'll let the issues stand.
Seeing "Reckoning" when Demona was explaining to Angela how she survived over a thousand years made me think, how much does anyone really know about her immortality; for example during "City of Stone" she lied to Xanatos about it, so…
1. How much of Demona's true story (about MacBeth, her immortality, the Weird Sisters, her clan after Wyvern, the Hunter(s), etc.) does Angela really know?
2. How much does Thailog know about Demona's true story?
3. How much does Xanatos know about Demona's true story?
4. How much does Puck/Owen know about Demona's true story?
5. How much do Goliath and the rest of the Manhattan clan know about Demona's true story?
1. Very little.
2. Very little.
3. Very little.
4. Quite a bit.
5. Very little.
