Mr. Weisman,

In light of the post-credits scene in the Season 4 finale, I am giving you a set of interview-style questions centering around Kara Zor-El. Please answer them as detailed as possible.

#1. Let’s start off with the opening question: How does it feel to FINALLY be able to introduce Kara Zor-El into the Earth-16 universe?

#2. You’ve introduced Kara Zor-El in a unique twist; her being a member of the Female Furies alongside Mary Bromfield. Granted, anyone who’ve read the “Supergirl” story arc from the “Superman/Batman”comics (issues #8-13) or have watched the “Superman/Batman: Apocalypse” animated movie would obviously expect that this move was going to happen one way or another. Nevertheless, what ultimately made you decide that this would be the best way to introduce Kara Zor-El; as opposed to what we’ve already seen at least twice in the comics (in which her pod arrives and crash-lands on Earth)?

#3. I going to make a MASSIVE assumption on my part here and will guess that Kara’s presence will have a MAJOR impact on her fellow surviving House of El members on Earth; this being Kal-El (her first cousin), Kon-El (her “half-cousin”), and Jonny Kent (her first cousin once removed). What kind of interactions should we expect her to have with all three members of her family? And by interactions, I mean when she initially meets them (presumably while still a member of the Female Furies), AND later spending time with them to get to know them better (presumably after she switches sides and joins the heroes)?

#4. Aside from her family members, are there any specific interactions you are looking forward to see happen between Kara Zor-El and members of the Team and the Outsiders; considering these are people who would be around her age?

#5. In terms of the direction Kara’s potential story arc will likely go for Season 5; is it safe to correctly assume that Kara Zor-El is NOT meant to be a villain for the entirety of that season? Also, considering what we know from the “Supergirl” story arc from the “Superman/Batman” comics and the “Superman/Batman: Apocalypse” animated movie, can we expect that either Kal-El or Kon-El will likely have to risk their own lives in order to save Kara?

#6. A major concern I have going into Season 5 is that Kara would be the third person in the House of El who “breaks bad”; this previously being Kal-El (during the end of Season 1; due to being brainwashed by Starro-tech) and Kon-El (during the second half of Season 4; due to Phantom Zone Sickness). At this point in time, given what Kon-El nearly did in the final two episodes of Season 4 (almost killing Kal-El before he changed his mind, and briefly fighting his friends before his mind was fixed), we still don’t know if there will be any major consequences coming out from his actions; considering they were publicly broadcasted (and that begs the question as to whether there will be people who will be afraid of Superboy?). As such, how worried should we be that Kara Zor-El might end up publicly disgracing the name/reputation of the House of El due to her being a member of the Female Furies?

#7. There is also the matter of Kara’s Supergirl costume; as you are aware, there are many versions of them (like the one from the comics, the Smallville Season 11 costume, the two Arrowverse Supergirl costumes, the DCEU Supergirl costume, etc.). As such, do you already have a specific version in mind for when Kara finally becomes Supergirl in the Earth-16 universe, or are you still deciding at this point in time?
