Todd Jensen writes...

Twice in the series, the gargoyles get their hands on a magical artifact that was stolen from a museum (first the Eye of Odin, and then the Mayan Sun Amulet), and keep it rather than finding some way of returning it to the museum (and the overall tone of their keeping it indicates that they chose to keep it in their custody because it was a powerful magical object that they wanted to keep out of the wrong hands, rather than the difficulties of returning it to the museum). This could be considered keeping stolen property. How does Elisa feel about it (I assume that she knew about their keeping both items)? (Admittedly, the Eye of Odin is a moot point by now since it's back in Odin's face, and I'm not sure that the museum in "The Green" really had that sound a claim to the Mayan Sun Amulet if it was taken from the pyramid by looters rather than a legitimate archaeological team - in real life, museums are indeed facing just such a problem with many of their artifacts on display having turned out to have been looted from archaeological sites, in fact - but I'm curious all the same).

Elisa believes in the law. But she's also something of a rationalist. Unless she's prepared to explain the Eye of Odin to everyone (and risk being committed) there's not much point in giving it back to a museum that may increase security, but couldn't possibly understand the danger inherent in the object.
