By now you can see that things are slowing down with the G2198 contest. It started out as a sprint, but I think in the long run it will still be a marathon. We've filled in all the easy ones, and the rest might take a while.

Although some may resort to the trial and error method, I will continue to base my guesses on careful thought and logic. (Except for the occasional wild guess.)

And speaking of wild guesses:
42: expectorated (??)

PS: I'm sorry this contest isn't turning out like you thought, but I'm enjoying it. }:)
