Hi, Mr. Weisman,

Years ago, at the CONvergence 2014, you mentioned that gargoyles' mating rituals involve "lots of flying" and feats of strength. I wanted to ask if it's possible to go more into details about how it works. FOR SCIENCE.

1.) Would you say that their mating ritual has some resemblance to that of birds' courtship/mating rituals? I've read some studies how different types of species of birds often use types of dance, flying displays, and etc. in courtship and mating dances. For gargoyles, are the feats of strength something the male primarily does in the ritual, similar to how male birds would do a dance to attract females? Or is something both males and females do? Do gargoyles do an elaborate air dance as part of the "lots of flying" bit, and do variations of said dance exist due to different cultures?

2.) For gargoyles that have less humanoid anatomy, such as Zafiro with him resembling more a serpent, would their mating be resemblance of how snakes mate?

3.) You mentioned a long time ago in another ask that gargoyles also "imprint" on each other, such as how Iago imprinted on Desdemona, and Desdemona and Othello imprinted on each other. If two gargoyles (whether it's male or female) ever try to court the same potential mate, and said potential mate is undecided about who to choose, has there ever been cases where they ever try to settle the matter in a duel, or is fighting over a mate is strictly forbidden by the clan (to prevent hostile infighting and death due to the high death rate in gargoyles society if it ever gets too out of hand) and enforced a strict policy that the matter must be settled peacefully (e.g. it must be the female's choice)?

4.) An old ask also mentioned what would happen if an affair is discovered among the clan, what would the consequences be, but was never fully addressed. In that ask, you mentioned that due to customs that cheating/divorce is highly discouraged, but emphasized that affairs DO happen, if even if they are rare. But the consequences wasn't addressed in the ask. So, in the cases that affairs do happen, are the gargoyles participating the affair are banished from the clan or are types of punishment are dealt upon them?

Why did you tease Jason Todd and whatever was going on with Talia in Arc 2 if that wasn't going to pay off this season? Are you were that arrogant that you keep setting up stuff for future seasons that are likely to NEVER happen? Don't you know the business you work in? How many animated series get to have more than 100 episodes?

Why wasn't Em'ree included more in the second half of Season 4 of Young Justice? I was really hoping to see her and M'gann rebuilding their sisterly relationship. Did you have any more stories in mind for her or could you not find the right moment to include her?

What is Em'ree's relationship like with the rest of her and M'gann's green martian siblings?
*Is she close to any of them?
*Has she tried to convince them to be there for M'gann?
*Is Em'ree in contact with any of them after she left Mars?

Hi, Greg! Big fan of “Gargoyles” here, and have for the last two decades! Still keeping my fingers crossed we can a comeback on the show someday soon.

The show established that a lot of the mythical creatures we see in the show are part of Oberon’s Children, such as Puck, Banshee, the Weird Sisters, Raven, etc. and etc., and I’ve been waiting all these years to visit feudal Japan during Brooklyn’s (my fave) TimeDancer adventures. When I heard that we will meet the Ishimura Clan of the time period, and where Brooklyn will meet his mate Katana (who I desperately want to meet properly), it made me think of “Inuyasha”, which is set in feudal Japan, where demons and spirits (yōkai and yūrei and yōsei) exist. Gargoyles being the inspiration for tengu, a type of yōkai in Japanese folklore, has already been established in the show. This might be something you can’t answer because it might be too spoilery, but here’s my question:

During Brooklyn’s TimeDancer adventures, will Brooklyn encounter any of Oberon’s Children? And, if so, will meet any in feudal Japan?

As an Asian fan growing up on your show, one of my favorite things was seeing how myths and legends and folklore was weaved into your show. Growing up on anime also made a huge fan of Japanese folklore. I can’t begin to express how happy it made me, years ago, that my favorite character Brooklyn will finally find love in a Japanese gargoyle, who (judging from your hints in the past) will be strong, witty, courageous, and a perfect match for him in every way. I’m wishing you all the best, and I’m rooting for “Gargoyles” to return someday soon and for the fifth season of “Young Justice” to be renewed! :)

Did J’ann M’orzz and M’att M’orzz receive A-designations (A-53 and A-54 perhaps?) for their Earth presence in “Death and Rebirth”? I know you don’t love revealing designations here, but you once did just that for the A-designation status of Blue Devil, B’arzz, and the Runaways due to their involvement in “Endgame”, so I figured I’d shoot my shot.

Mr. Weisman,

In regards to the name of the Earth-16 version of the Phantom Stranger, is he currently using the name of Philip Stark; which originally belonged to a man who became one of his enemies going by the name of Sin Eater?
