Hope you had a good b-day!
I’m just writing to let you know how much I’ve been enjoying the Demona mini-series. As someone who was already a fan of Clark Ashton Smith, I particularly enjoyed #3’s story “For not Everything with Wings…†I think it’s one of the best reimaginings of Smith’s work I’ve ever seen.
1) Were you previously familiar with Smith’s work or was this something Frank and/or Nate brought to your attention while working on the mini?
2) If the former, was naming Nokkar’s species the N’kai intended as a nod to the dwelling place of Smith’s Hyperborean toad-god Tsathoggua?
