Hi Greg,

I do have a few questions, but before I ask them, I just want to thank you and everyone who worked on the show.

The entire run of Young Justice was flat-out amazing, and had everything from humour to sad moments to great action. The story hooked me and the characters were likable but flawed, making them relatable...there are so many more things I could say about how great the show was. I have to go buy the DVDs soon, so I can always have the show and the memories it has given me.

As for the questions I had, they are:

1. When you look back on making Young Justice, is there anything you are most proud of?
2. This sounds a bit odd, but if the original members of The Team could break the fourth wall and tell their viewers one last thing; what do you think would each say after the finale? (Though I really hope the series can continue with another season, movie, comic or something...)

I see that the queue is very cluttered with fan rambles that are either pissed off about his fate or begging you to tell them that he isn't dead/will be brought back in season 3.

Personally, I will choose not to ask anything pertaining to Wally. I have faith that you, Brandon and the rest of your crew had your reasons for doing what you did and that you guys know where you're headed with this. So instead, I'll focus my efforts on trying to get to that Season 3 so we can see for ourseleves what happens next. :)

Moving on, you had given a list of the designations in your interview with World's Finest Online right before the finale and there were seven "SPOILER REQUESTS" which I figured meant that we would been seeing these characters in "Endgame."

Based on who we saw in the episode, I'd wager that as of the 20th of June, Tempest and Blue Devil were the unknown Leaguers, and Virge, Ed, Sam and Tye were the four unknown guest designations. Then by the 4th of July, Virgil gained a Team designation upon becoming Static.

Could you either confirm or correct this?

And last but certainly not least, thanks to all of you guys for writing all of these characters and stories that matter so much. I really hope that we can get not just a third season, but a fourth and a fifth, too, while we're at it.

First off, I love Young Justice. Thanks for making such a great show!

My question is about the Light, Reach and Bart's future. It was made pretty clear in Summit and Endgame that the Light planned to betray the Reach. They seem to have planned out all contingencies and have an even bigger masterplan involving Darkseid - basically they knew what they were getting into. So what happened in Bart's future? Bart always referred to it as the "Reach Apocalypse" and the Reach/Blue Beetle were obviously in charge - it seemed as though the Light didn't intend for the Reach to actually conquer Earth in their masterplan, so what went wrong? It just seems weird to me that the big baddies who seem to have endless schemes, tricks and Xanatos gambits could have got it so wrong.

First of all, I would like to say thank you for such a quality show! It's given me new hope for this age of television, though its cancellation has dampered that a bit. But I still have faith that it will be renewed someday, hopefully sooner than later. Anyway, here are a few questions on my mind.
1. I know you don't want me asking how long the planned time skip for season three was, but I am curious if there's any hope for a shorter time skip than before. So instead, my question is, is there any hope that the time skip this time around could be a matter of months? Or is it more your style to plan longer time skips? I felt the first time skip was natural, as I already knew the characters well (aside from maybe Rocket) and I welcomed a mostly new cast. However, I now feel that with the time constraints and more plot-based story, I'm still just getting to know these characters, and would like to keep getting to know them as they are. All the same, I trust your decision-making and would look forward to whatever you and Brandon cook up.
2. If you were to get another season, would it be like season two, a more plot-driven season, or would it return to being a character-driven story? Would a character-driven season even work, given the amount of characters now on the Team? And also, would the amount of episodes given make a difference in your decision in this matter?
3. What scene do you most regret not being able to include in/before the finale? (Un-moded Jaime reuniting with Tye/his family, Artemis reuniting with Paula, more of Red Arrow and/or Cheshire and Lian, more of the runaways, just to give a few possible examples)

Well, since Young Justice just finished its run, I thought I might as well say a huge thank you.
I've been a fan of your work ever since I caught a WITCH episode, and unfortunately around the time Spectacular Spiderman was airing I was at that "I'm too old for cartoons" stage of life. Thank God I got over that, and with a little internet magic I was able to watch Gargoyles, Spec, and learn about Young Justice. I enjoyed the characters, plotlines, art, fight scenes, acting,basically everything (aside from few complaints here and there, but nothing too major).
Most of all, I enjoyed that it remembered it was a cartoon and not a comic. When Wally died, I was able to actually feel sad rather than groan and think "oh great, now I have to wait until he's retconned back into existence". If you get a lot of hate mail for that, don't worry. He's a popular character who recently got poorly handled in the comicverse, so people tend to be overprotective. Personally, I think him going to speedster Valhalla or the like is way more fitting than wiping out the whole of his heroic career.
So thanks to you and the entire Young Justice team for putting some serious effort into this show. It was much appreciated.
And since I feel obligated to ask a question, the finale aired on March 16th. How did you manage that?

Wow This season was great! You and the team should be proud of you hard work it really paid off! I will dearly miss YJ it would always cheer me up when I had a bad day, I would pretend the team was there and they'd cheer me up, or they would come to school with me and help me through. I am not the only one that does this many people do, I even pretend I am on the team and we did missions together, to me the characters are real. I cried so much when reality hit me that the show is over, I cried a lot when Wally died too, but I know a lot of people asked you if he is dead and if there will be a third season so I wont ask that, instead I will thank you for this Wonderfully Amazing show, watching the team grow, listening to Dick say silly things like Aster and Whelmed, or Megan say Hello Megan, Gar say Noted or Bart say Mode and Crash etc. I know one day the show will come back because with fans like this nothing can keep us from a show like this!!! I will be waiting for the day this show comes back and I will one day show my kids this show. Thank you for taking the time to read this and create the BEST SHOW EVER!! We will keep fighting for the show to come back one day!!! The fans will never forget Young Justice!

Well, the final episode of YJ has been aired, and what an ending! I gotta say, for a minute there, I thought you were gonna kill Barry, but Wally's death I did not see coming. Bravo, man. Bravo.
Furthermore, finally seeing Darkseid was nice. I mean, everyone knew he was the Light's original partner, & truthfully I expected him to show up a lot sooner, but that was good. Of course, Lex being a manipulative cuss was great, Static joing was cool, & I liked Tim & Cassie getting together.
It's a shame to see such a great show come to an end, but perhaps not for long. I saw your piece on the Veronica Mars kicksterter, & the thought of a kickstarter for Gargoyles or Young Justice didn't even occur to me until then. But if you start one, I will happily pledge what I can to the cause.

One of the "Endgame" preview images on The World's Finest shows a close-up of Artemis and the Flash Family at the mission briefing in Metropolis that wasn't in the episode itself. So I was wondering: are there more close-ups from that big wide shot of all the heroes? If so, could you post them? I'd love to see a close up of Aquaman, Aqualad, Tempest and Lagoon Boy from that big wide shot.

I apologize if this question has been asked before, I tried searching through the archives but maybe I didn't frame my search parameters correctly.

How public are The Team members as superheroes? I know the team isn't known by the general public, and certain sidekicks are known because they fight alongside their fellow mentors (like Batman and Robin, Flash and Kid Flash, Aquaman and Aqualad, and maybe later Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl and so on) but what about other heroes like Beast Boy? Or Bumblebee? Or even Superboy?

I ask because Superboy is wearing his Superman-symbol shirt in "Satisfaction." I understand this is a world where glasses can protect Clark Kent's identity or sunglasses protects Dick and Tim's, but come on! He's wearing his Superboy "uniform" right out in the open! Does that mean the public is unaware of Superboy?

What I'm basically wondering is, do certain Team members even need secret identities, or can they just go out in public without masks and such because they only ever go out for covert ops where the general public won't see them anyway?

Hey Greg, sorry for this. I know I'm annoying but honestly I cant even help it at this point. My grandmother just passed away, my aunt has brain cancer, and the only thing I had to look forward to was young justice and "spitfire" I am going to keep fighting for season three on behalf of all the producers and loyal fans like myself. I do have one question for you however, and yes, I'm sure you are sick of hearing it.

If(when) we get a season 3 Is there any chance that you and your team would ever consider bringing back Wally ?

Brandon just tweeted that "Wally is gone", when he says "Wally is gone" is Wally gone/teleported to a different dimension,planet, or somewhere else? Or did Brandon mean "gone" as in deceased gone? At first I thought Wally was sucked into the Speedforce,but a while back you said the Speedforce doesn't exist on Earth-16 (so that rules that out). I still have hope Wally is still around :)

To Mr. Weisman

That was so not cool. You literally ripped my heart out of my body with Wally's death. I really hope that you meant Wally to come back in season 3. For one thing, the reaction to his death was extremely disappointing. Outside of Artemis, Bart, and Nightwing, we did not see a single person mourn for Wally. Not even his original team mates like Superboy and Miss Martian. Even Artemis' fake death had more mourning than Wally. The death was also extremely rushed. I would like to think that if a character as popular as Wally was being killed off, then there would be more of a reaction and more time was dedicated to it. Also, it was unbelievably tragic. Of all the romantic relationships on the show, the one between Artemis and Wally was the only one that felt authentic and sweet. Plus, the way it was set up in season 1, it felt that it was something that you set up for long term with the spitfire symbolic parallel with Kent Nelson and Insa. What's the point if you spend an entire season developing a relationship only to end it tragically in the next season without even showing much of the relationship on screen. It's even more painful when you see that all other relationships have either been repaired or newly formed while Artemis is left heartbroken. That along with the fact that Wally's parents lost their only son. Also, this was the only place where Wally existed since he is not in the comics currently. But I take encouragement in the fact there is no body and in comic/cartoon world, no body means alive.

Now that my sorrowful rant over the season finale is over, I would like to congratulate you for two seasons of great animation. After JL/JLU, this was the first cartoon of excellent standard of storytelling and animation. I really hope there is some way that season 3 can be made and you can resurrect Wally and reunite him with Artemis as well as continue the incomplete Apocalypse storyline.

Finally, if there is no chance of season 3 happening, can you divulge what you were planning for season 3. Would there be another time jump? Would Wally and Nightwing return?...

Greg, wow if you really are reading this I hope you know I appreciate your work. I am not familair with the Gargoyles or anything, I am a fan of Young Justice. You see, my best friend and I are hooked on to it and we rescently saw the finale. We are broken. Yes you know it's because of Wally. No I am not asking for spoilers or for you to change the story line. I just want a yes or no answer if you could or at least put my mind at rest. Wally didn't die did he, not really. He simply disappeared and I don't think he died. If he did die then I'll accept it with understanding. But at the end of the episode it was implied more. And I think Wally will come back. I really do think so. I know cartoon network won't take another season but I know what's it like to have a story line of your own, I am an aspiring author. I know you won't leave this like that, so full of what nots but greg if you do plan to continue it or of you dont I beg of you that you come clear to us someday because what kills me the most is not knowing. Maybe you'll never confirm it or never read this and I'll go on thinking about this without being certain. Did he die? I don't care if you say yes or no, just a hint at what's going on. I probably seem a little needy but in some ways I am, the chacracters you created have such a hold on my heart its amazing. I bow my hat to you greg you've made an amaing thing here and I hope you might forgive me prying. Thank you for your work.

Oh dear, so many people impulsively asking why wally had to die and future spoilers, you are in for hell (or maybe your moderators and lots and lots of copy paste.

Anyways, now that its confirmed the light has also played with Darksied..

1. Was he(and Apocalypse) the partner referred to back in Bereft? Since we now know the reach were not drawn to earth until after the season finally.

2. The Reach themselves call black beetle...black beetle. Is this the official way to designate each scarab? Did they adopt the name from Wonder Girl?

3. Why hadn't you addressed the reach Apocalypse still being a success after Bart left?

Sorry it's me again so quickly...I just remembered two things I wanted to bring up.

1. I've heard that Dubbilex was/is a DNAlien. Not exactly sure what that means since from what I've looked at your work you've said he is a G-Gobin/genomorph and was created by Cadmus. I just wanted to see if you could set it straight for me, what exactly is he? Also, I apologize if this is a spoiler, if you will have answered this by the time you get to my post, or it just pops up...but why did you not include him and the genomorphs in the second season? What happened to them? We saw some of them lying on the ground at the end of Season 1, and Guardian/Jim Harper is around, but nothing else. I know you don't like to give full out stories here but could you please say something regarding this, because I have seen nothing about them. I was expecting them to maybe come out, help the Team and League and maybe get the respect they were hoping for, but I don't know...

2. By now it will have been a while, but remember when I asked if you'd let Khary Payton/Aqualad say "BOOYAH!" for old time's sake and you said it was a spoiler. Well, now the season is over (again I hope the show comes back soon) and we didn't here it. I wanted to let you know though that I had another side trip or dream and I thought I actually saw Aqualad in the show say "BOOYAH!" It wasn't like in Teen Titans, but it was like he just beat up one of the bad guys (I don't know who) and he looked down on them like he looked down on Black Manta in "Summit" and said "Booyah" in that cool tone like he when he talked to his unconscious father. Then I snapped back to our reality and I was like, "Did it happen? I thought Greg wasn't going to do it, but he did! YES! BOOYAH!" And of course, then I saw it wasn't true and was :(

Oh well...Did you consider doing it at anytime in the production? If yes or no why did you not do it?

I hope this finds you well...I wanted to thank and congratulate you and your team on the amazing show of Young Justice.

I know that by the time you read my post you will have already read dozens of posts of people commenting on the season finale. I know you will probably have seen "Why did you kill Wally?" so many times you'll probably be Copy and Pasting "ASKED AND ANSWERED" or "SPOILER REQUEST. NO COMMENT" so many times that you'll get tired and/or bored. Well I am just here to say that while I, "A Flash Fan" who have written to you a lot about the Flashes, am dismayed and was sad about Wally's "ceasing," I wanted to thank you for giving him a noble "death." The courage and bravery all heroes displayed, but the Flashes were the ones who were ready to give the ultimate sacrifice. Barry and Bart's reactions were touching and the despair and trauma felt by the other characters definitely pulled my strings.

You definitely crafted an excellent story and series that let so many, including me, connect with these characters. I definitely saw a lot of love for Wally and everyone else as I scrolled down the queue of answered questions. I truly hope we will have a season 3...and why not 4, 5, 6, 7, 8...well as many as can be in actuality possible.

Well...thank you Greg. Even though the show is over (for now, I hope it will return soon) it will always hold a special place in my heart. I think about the first time I saw the World Premier in November 2010...Here we are nearly 2.5 years later and it was truly an incredible experience to remember. I hope to come back now and again, be patient, and follow just where you'll take us next. Thank you.

Let's imagine that even the kinetic energy from Jay, Barry and Bart wasn't enough, so Wally would have to help anyway. So, for only Wally to get hit by the beams, Wally would have to be slower than Jay too, and the audience would be like "Come on, even the 90-year-old guy can dodge the beams, and Wally can't?" (I personally wouldn't have a problem with Jay being faster, because he is my favorite Flash) That's the sole reason why you didn't include Jay in that scene? I personally think you should have done it anyway, if only for the sake of reuniting the Flash Family one last time. But it's your show, so it's your decision.

Hello! I've been a big fan of Young Justice for awhile now. I love how well you manage to tie a bunch of aspects from the comics together in a way that makes sense; not only in this show, but in Spectacular Spider-Man as well! I was personally very happy to see Tim and Cassie get together in the end. I was a big fan of them together in the comics and it was nice to see them get together on one of my favorite shows. I'm still hoping for a Season 3!

How did Batman and Wonder Woman react to the news of Tim and Cassie dating?

Dear Greg,

I held off on posting this until I was feeling a little more rational post-Endgame. Didn't want to risk posting some kind of knee-jerk reaction and coming across as a crazy person ;o)

You've said that Young Justice was all about secrets and lies and about young heroes growing up. Well, to me Young Justice was about friendship and family. Season 1 especially was amazing in that respect, because there were only six team members to focus on and that left enough room for character development. You really made us care about these characters and I loved watching them grow from a rather disorganized, squabbling group of sidekicks to a well-oiled machine that could be considered a family.

The time skip in season 2 was a shock to me (and boy, did I lament the loss of my perfect season 1 team!), but I stuck with it in hopes of Wally eventually returning to the team and of getting some nice Dick/Wally friendship moments, as their friendship has always been my primary reason for watching the show. It's why I bought all the companion comics and am still planning on buying Legacy when it comes out; anything to get another glimpse of the Dick/Wally friendship. I was extremely happy with Summit because Wally was back! And he was fighting alongside Dick! Oh, how I'd missed seeing that! Seriously, I would've been perfectly happy if the season had ended there.

But then Endgame happened. And I was just so terribly shocked and disappointed with the events of that episode. To me it felt rushed, but I know you did the best you could wrapping up such an epic story in only a few episodes. Also, why were there 21 of those Reach thingies if just one would've apparently been enough to destroy the world? But what got to me most of all was, of course, Wally's death. It was so shocking that it's…kind of ruined the entire show for me :o(

I understand that you can't make everyone happy (though I'm convinced everyone would've been happy if you hadn't killed off Wally) and you and Brandon probably felt you had good reasons for ending Wally, but with one of my favorite characters presumed dead and the other taking a leave of absence (which I'm taking to mean that we would have scarcely seen him in future episodes), my reasons for watching Young Justice are gone. I'm loyal to the characters of a show, not to the show itself; taking away my favorite characters means losing me as a viewer.

I hope I'm not coming across as someone going, "Bring back Wally in season 3 or I'll stop watching!", because that's not what I'm trying to say at all. It's your show, you've built this world and these amazing characters and you're free to do with them as you see fit (well, for the most part) and I'm sure a lot of people would still enjoy the continuing adventures of the Team if there ever is a season 3. But with the characters I was most invested in gone, the show's just not for me anymore.

It's okay though, I know it's "just" a cartoon (even if it was one I was incredibly invested in) and I'll no doubt find something else that'll catch my interest; I'm just sad that Wally's death left such a bad taste in my mouth that it's kind of tainted the entire series for me.

Anyway, regardless of whether or not you'd planned on bringing Wally back (did you?), I'm just going to stubbornly believe that he's still alive and that Dick's going to use his leave of absence to find him and figure out how to get him back. Yep, that'll be my head canon.

With the (very sad) ending of Young Justice, I'd like to give some (hopefully constructive!) criticism.

I dropped out of the show in the beginning ("Beneath" was the last episode I watched) of season two for various reasons, the first being the way Megan and Raquel were handled in the show.

Megan's plotline this season would have been much better if you hadn't shown it through flashbacks. This is one of the reasons I so disliked the time skip. I don't want to be told things happened (via flashback, in my opinion, still counts). I would have preferred it if we were shown her change over the course of a season, and THEN this plotline happened.

Also, Raquel. We had her introduced in the finale of the last season, and I was looking forward to seeing her integrate with the team...cut to her with the League. What? I wanted to see her working in and with the Team, making friendships! Even Billy got more focus than her, and that bugged me.

The time skip is also something that I don't think worked. I would have preferred seeing the characters make these choices, rather than finding out after the fact. The main six stopped feeling like the people I originally tuned in to watch, and I didn't like that feeling.

On a final note, the reason "Beneath" finally had me turning off the show is that I never felt like our heroes ACTUALLY WON. They'd have minor victories, sure, but they'd always have been *distracted* or *on the wrong track* for the Light's *real* plot- it drove me nuts.

Now, this is your show! And you can totally roll your eyes at me for missing the point, especially since I didn't see the season through (also, I did hear that a bunch of really nifty things happened throughout the season, so, y'know, joke's on me). But this is just meant to be used for future reference or, hopeffully, if the fan petitions actually go through and CN greenlights a third season.

Hello there, first off: congrats on Young Justice! A splendid finale for a splendid show! I'll be very interested in seeing what YJ: Legacy offers in terms of the missing narrative between season one and two.

Now on to the question! Out of curiosity, is there any new on that project you and Vic Cook were lanning called Progeny? It sounded like an interesting story, and Galloway's designs certainly helped the interest. Just a slight bit of curiosity on if there's any development on that.

I have just finished watching the season 2 final for young justice and in my opinion it was truly bittersweet. I want to congratulate you on creating such an amazing show. I was honestly in love with the characters, their personalities, thoughts, feelings, and dialog were so realistic. I am a fan of DC comics and love all those heroes and enjoyed seeing them all on young justice :) I think that "endgame" was a great way to end the season but i was left heartbroken when i had to watch my all time favorite hero, Kid Flash, do something impulsive and selfless for the last time. To say i'm not upset would be lying so i wont say that but my heart honestly broke when Wally told Barry to make sure he tells Artemis and his parents that he loved them. :,( i wish i didn't get so attached to fictional characters because their fate is always in the hands of their creators, which makes them fair game and anything/everything could happen. I know there is a chance you probably wont read this but i just wanted to take this chance and ask you, is there hope for Young Justice and Wally West or will i have to just re-watch episode and just have Wally remain in my memories? I also wanted to let you know that the scene between Kid and Impulse was just.. no words can describe it. Wally and Bart's relationship is just precious and in that scene i saw an older brother passing down his legacy to his younger brother and that just made Wally's tragic fate all the more difficult to accept.

but no matter what my feelings are toward's Wally, i still want to THANK YOU for an amazing superhero show that this closet geek went crazy for ;P

I know your probably sick of all the Wally questions but..

Was it hard for you to kill off Wally? And when making/recording the episode did any of the cast end up crying? Cuz I know the fandom did plenty of that...

After finally watching the season 2 finale, I must congratulate you and thank you. Thank you so much. At the end of an emotionally draining week I could always look forward to Young Justice. It's absolutely heart-breaking to know that the show that has kept me going for so long has ended. And what a note it ended on.
Wally was always my favourite character. Every episode in season 2 I hoped that Wally would re appear. And you should have seen my face when he did. So I must thank you for adding him as he has become one of my greatest inspirations. Thank you, Greg, for all the amazing characters you have brought to life. Thank you for the amazing story-telling and the incredible times in Young Justice.
I must say, you know how to make a 13 year old fangirl break down into tears for about two hours. Hands down to you and the crew for that feat.
Greg, I know the answer will probably be met with a SPOILER REQUEST, NO COMMENT or whatever you decide to write down, but I must ask. I hope that my questions will be answered.

1. Was Wally actually ever in Bart Allen's timeline? I mean, was he alive?
2. Do you think that Artemis would move out of Palo Alto? And what about her college life?
3. This is hard for me, but what exactly happened to Wally? Was it a proper death?... I mean, he just sort of... dissolved.

1)There were two designations of the JL whice were labeled as SPOILER REQUEST: did the two unknown Leaguers appear anywhere (a yes or a no will be sufficient, I'm not asking their names)?
2)This is more of a formality: is Static B26?
3)The designations B14 and B15 were given to Liutenant Marvel and Sergeant Marvel, which I guess were the Mary Bromfield and the Freddy Freeman of Earth-16. But none of the two has had (for what I recall) those names in the comics, so: which one of the two is Sergeant and which one is Liutenant?

You Briliant Man!!! The ending of Season 2 was just brilliant!!!! It was so gut wretching I never cried in a cartoon until today well yesterday. I have been so caught up with these characters lives and I love how you put realism into it and not just some random quirky episode that doesn't deal with the heavy hitters of being a superhero. I always figured they would feel I guess how you would say "haunted and alone". I have fell in love with this series and today's episode just takes the cake. I mean Wally was my favorite character and it was done with such justice I can't even be mad that you guys killed him!! I really hope you guys get a season 3 I mean I know its not renewed for the 2013/2014 episode, but there is always hope right!!! I realize that you don't like to explain stories, but can you tell us the list of the events in condensed, bullet-point form? This particular topic was something that's bugging me for some time, so I'm interested to know the Reach Apocalypse was successful in the original timeline.

My name is Bianca Ruhland and currently i have just started my final year getting my double major in Creative Writing and Animation. It's a big wish of mine to one day go on to write for or create a cartoon series of my own (especially of the superhero variety, haha.)
After the series final of Young Justice i just want to say, well done. It's shows like Young Justice i want to show to my own kids one day. It inspires me and i want to work with shows like it one day.
Visually, it's stunning, story wise it's even better. You've managed to find a way to introduce characters to keep existing comic book fans happy, but write it in such a way it introduces new fans as well. That's a very hard to do (from what i've heard). Not to mention, your show is built in such a way that it doesn't patronize children's intelligence. You have connecting story lines about big issues. You show them the power of love and friendship, but also show the realistic side that sometimes, friends fight and relationships end. People grow up on the outside, but not always on the inside. Also, the fact you broke the 'Rule of 3' and had such a large female cast was so awesome!
I'm writing to you as one of many voices of support for this show. It breaks my heart to see it go, especially in favor of other new shows that...well, that just kind of look like the same old stuff personally. It's really upsetting. After watching the final episode, there are so many cliff hangers! And Wally! Also, i've heard rumours that there were plans to bring in Cyborg, Starfire, Raven, Jason Todd and Damian Wayne into the next season. That would have just blown my mind.
I was wondering, Greg, exactly where the show stands right now. Is there a possibility at a Season 3 if Beware the Batman and Teen Titans Go don't fare too well? Can we get it outside of DC Nation or on another channel? Do you have plans for a Kickstarter (ala Veronica Mars?)Is there anything at all being done that you can mention? Like plans for a mini-series or an online follow up comic? (ala Smallville?)
If you can't tell me anything that's fine, but i just wanted to let you know Greg that you did a really great job on this show. You and Bruce Timm are my idols and i hope to be like you one day. I've had this question since shortly after "Beneath" aired, but decided to wait for the last episode to air to see if it was ever addressed in the show.

In "Beneath", Nightwing shows a map of Bialya, which is the shapes of Bialya and Qurac combined. It also has a different flag from the one in "Image". This lead us on the wiki to conclude Qurac was swallowed up, but you corrected us on the wiki, saying the holoscreen was a mistake. We never pressed the issue any further, but it made me wonder.

For such an error to be made, there had to have been artwork, of the combined map and flag. Since no such artwork was ever used again on the show and Qurac and Bialya were never explicitly stated to have been merged, I must ask... why did that particular design exist? Was it a doodle, or an abandoned concept, or did whoever put it in there draw it himself?

You have put together an amazing show here. It was more than just a Saturday morning cartoon, it was a break from my work week working on my college degrees and bit of time that I could enjoy through out the week asking myself what's going to happen next.
You have succeeded in creating an emotionally investing show, even if it was made for kids, it held values and action, and my attention. Young Justice was the one thing I made sure to watch my first year away at college, and until today I could keep coming back to it. I thank you for making such a wonderful show.
I could feel like I watched Dick grow up, going from ready to lead the team from the start and then deciding he didn't want to be like Batman in the first season after failsafe. Then he comes to this point in his life during season 2 where he had to make those hard decisions. Aqualad, is by far one of my favorites, he is such a noble character and that is evident through out the seasons. He was grown when he came to us and has acted like a leader ever since. Then everything he has been through, Tula, his father, and yet he remains solid as ever. M'gann and Conner, both of them were so lost in the beginning, and now its like they've found where they want to go in life. Then there is Artemis and Wally. I won't lie to you I loved these two from the get go. Artemis is such a multidimensional character, and Wally...he's Wally there's no other way to explain him, like Artemis told M'gann. He's Wally. Everyone loves him. Artemis and Wally both become so sure of themselves, getting rid of their insecurities. Artemis so much as to go undercover and can still return to what she was. Then Wally, I doubt I will ever forgive you for what happen to him. I know your feelings on the speed force but I comfort myself by thinking that Wally is making a new discovery in the Earth-16 Universe. Wally has never been the fastest man alive, he knew that and he faced it. His noble side came through and he saved the world at the cost of his own life. When I watched that, I broke down with Artemis and felt his parents' ache when she told them. Wally is a hero.

This brings me to a few questions I do have for you.
With Aqualad and Artemis returning from undercover or dead, how is this going to affect there lives? Aqualad will be mistrusted and always suspected in the eyes of others. Artemis has a gravestone, she had retired and was attending college? How is she going to explain she died being Artemis and is back?

Why did we have to rush in and bring up Tim and Cassie in the end? I felt a little blind sided by that, much like Conner did.

Lastly, in TV I don't believe anyone is ever dead until you have a body. Wally's body was not there, he disappeared. The scarab didn't say he was going to die, he said that he would "cease", now is that a cease to exist entirely, cease to be with us here? Is that a more ominous take on what might have happened had season 3 not been cancelled?

Again, this was an amazing show. Thank you so much for your time in reading this and any answers you may provide.

I just watched episode 20 of Young Justice: Endgame. I just want to say that the episode was AMAZING. Truly ended in a way never to be expected.

Which brings up a couple of questions: The series seems to have ended in a very open ending hinting at possible plot points if it continued. 1). Is there any possible way, in the future( does not have to be near future), that the series could continue onto season 3 and onwards?

2). If not, then why end the series the way it has?

I am a huge fan of the team's work on the Young Justice series and want to congratulate and thank you for bring such an engaging, well thought out, and beautifully done adaption of all the characters and universe of the DC comics itself. As a fan, I hope you will be able to continue this wonderful artistic project everyone has worked so hard to make. In Endgame, the resolution to the Wally West storyline and whether he would continue with active heroing afterward was answered. I'm a huge Wally fan and in my mind he is Flash and I understand that you all are doing a seperate story, which I have loved btw.

However my question is this: Did you all make the decision apart from DC in the sense that you all felt it was necessary to write Wally out of the story? I ask because DC in recent years has all but abandoned Wally, and I wonder if that played any part in his character development to 'retire' or if you all just saw that as a natural evolution of the character you were writing. I love him in season 1 but have missed him in season 2 but nonetheless I loved the show and hate to see it end. thank you for the hard work you all put in it is appreciated.

I just finished watching "Endgame" and, as expected, it was golden. It's too bad Cartoon Network/DC didn't request more episodes so that concepts such as Tim/Cassie or Static or the whole...you know...Darkseid-Light plot.

Anyway, I was wondering. Obviously you had plans for a third season, but can DC allow you to at least release your plans for the show?

If not, I wish you good luck in whatever projects you do next. I hear you're writing novels soon. At least you can write whatever you want in them, from Shakespearean references to Xanatosian plots, and they won't be cancelled by higher powers.

It has been quite some time since I've reviewed anything regarding Young Justice but that in no way should reflect on my enthusiasm for the Team and all-things-Earth-16. YJ's two seasons these past two-plus years have been an incredibly fun ride and I look forward to the upcoming finale . . . but with the finale coming very soon and the tie-in comic now at an end, now seemed like a good a time as any to ramble a few words on a comic I'll miss picking up every month!

I might ultimately regret not reviewing issues #1-#19 first (I did manage to review #0 "Stopover" in a timely manner), but I am still riding a Players-high d:

"Wheelbarrow, Shoe, Thimble"
(I'm already on a tangent, but this felt like the more appropriate place to mention that when Hasbro was doing its Monopoly New Token promotion with the gimmick that a classic token would be "thrown into jail" permanently, I did in fact vote for the Thimble, lol)

Well the story starts on December 1st in Team Year Zero (taking place between season one's episodes of "Agendas" and "Insecurity") which just happens to be Dick Grayson's birthday. Zatanna wishing Robin a happy birthday was a fun scene especially when Robin wonders how Z could have possibly known only for Wally to pop in the last panel to take the credit, hehe.

A simple turn of the page later and its Team Year Five, with Dick being wished a happy birthday by Wally and Artemis across the country (I laughed when Artemis put two and two together on who was the other person in Dick's apartment). They're not the only two with birthday wishes - we soon see newly-inducted Justice Leaguers Zatanna and Rocket kiss the original Boy Wonder at the Cave.

Soon enough the Team's divided into two Squads, with Superboy, Miss M, Bumblebee, L'Gann, Beast Boy, and the Bio-Ship in Metropolis keeping an eye on Noor Harjavti of Qurac with Nightwing, Wondergirl, and Sphere heading to El Paso to recruit the newest member of the Team (oh, nice stage-setting on the first page with the Computer showing a map of Texas).

Having seen the episode "Earthlings," it was a treat to see Garfield's story about Superboy and Miss M's return trip to Qurac be told, not to mention it also gives us a nice compare/contrast of Superman's warming relationship with Superboy over the years. Oh, and Marie introducing Miss M as her daughter to Clark and Jimmy was truly touching.

Nightwing's comment on how even with the ability to fly, Jaime still winds up late to school reminded me of a similar quip of Spidey in TSS-M's ep "Interactions." Speaking of school, it looks like Rio Grande High is in full winter musical mode with "The Pajama Game" (I imagine I'd appreciate the reference when I actually do get around to seeing it!).

Part One ends with a mysterious First Leader retrieving assets (Superboy, Superman, and Devastation at the least) before the Collector of Worlds proceeds perfectly living up to YJ's INVASION subtitle!

Oh, and I'm no expert on comics, but the word Geosynchronous does not get used enough!

"Directly to Jail"
In Team Year Five, a quick Justice League and Team conferencing make it clear that the best lead to those missing is the notable Zeta radiations coming off the Moon, and with all three Green Lanterns and Both Hawks off-world, Nightwing reassigns Miss M, L'Gann, and the Bio Ship to Gamma Squad and gives them a field-trip to the Moon.

I loved both Jaime's line, "Did he just send someone to the MOON?!" as well as the echoes of Miss M telling Garfield she'll see him soon (Gar's clearly feeling those echoes too). Wondergirl pouting about not being abducted with Superboy, Superman, and Wonder Woman was also hilarious.

Take my slight double-take that there's an area of/near Metropolis known as Suicide Slum as proof that I am still learning the basics of the DC mythos.

Gotta love the new kid for letting everyone know they're flying towards Moscow to get to Rome only to be enlightened that the shortest distance between two points isn't necessarily a straight line.

The two Captains working their way around the Orbs was fun, always a treat to see Cameron Scott and a visibly older Billy Batson. It was also a nice reveal that Captain Atom has frequently torpedoed any votes to invite Major Force to the Justice League.

"Landing on Boardwalk"
Always fun to see Artemis and Dick outside the Cave, especially when Artemis still doesn't know who Dick is . . . really makes me wonder if/when they'll laugh about that picture from "Homefront."

Meanwhile in Taos, Blue Beetle is given an Authorized Guest designation, and we clear things up that Sphere and (presumably) Wolf both have C-series designations.

And in the subject of clearing things up, our abducted heroes have finally realized they're on the Moon. Despite so many unknowns for the two Captains, two Supers, and Wonder Woman (that will ultimately lead to some more bad news), you gotta admit that's still an incredible view!

This issue also treats us to some early Miss M and Lagoon Boy interactions on their way to the Moon. Thought it was funny for Miss M to say that its taking too long to get there by Martian Bio-Ship when I can't help but know that the ol' girl is MUCH faster than NASA's six-day round-trip Lunar Modules from the Apollo program days. Miss M's point, however, still stands -- especially since Gamma Squad spots Kylstar's ship (a convertible no less, as pointed out by Captain Marvel) launching from the Lunar surface and potentially falling behind permanently.

Nightwing, Wondergirl, Sphere, and Blue Beetle finally make their way to the edge of Metropolis and we're soon treated to perhaps my favorite funny moment in the whole Players arc - Nightwing's simple "Don't overthink it" in response to everyone's puzzlement on how to communicate to each other through the force-field.

Other fun moments in the issue included Lex Luthor learning that, thanks to the force field, Match managed to break out of his pod (man, he really let himself go since we last saw him, huh?) and Bumblebee and Garfield - still keeping an eye on Noor Harjavti - finding refuge at Bibbos's Diner. It can't be a coincidence Greg that I tend to crave slices of Banana Cream Pie whenever I'm watching or reading one of your series, lol.

"Do Not Pass Go"
I do think I need to re-watch some episodes again, but I'll take Miss M's word that Connor had a relatively Spartan bedroom, especially in Team Year Zero. This scene with Superman is also awesome just because it gives us another glimpse behind what the Big Boy Scout's been feeling, and how he's naturally progressed in warming up to Superboy. Also totally fitting that this moment comes not long after Superboy's Thanksgiving trip to Cadmus where he became all too familiar with Match, Lex Luthor, and those addictive Shields.

We get an update from Red Tornado who clearly has all his Index Cards in order ;) It also gives us a chance to see the Dynamic Duo thing that Tim was referring to in Chapter One. Though they're clearly on the field in Gotham City, I have no idea where they're at considering all those atypical things littering that apartment complex.

Plastic Man and Batgirl's Instant-Messaging was hilarious - doesn't last long though, Match crashes on the fun - though the Triple-Super Panel still had me smiling.

Speaking of panels and layouts, I gotta say I'm still impressed how my eyes jump naturally from Superboy's speech bubble of "That Does It-" to Superman holding him back. Just one of many little moments that make this comic so, well, animated.

Miss M let's L'Gann see her true physical form as well as a new Atlantean form of hers . . . wonder if this is the inspiration for L'Gann's Angelfish pet-name?
Oh, I've been neglecting all the action on Kylstar's Vessel! The back and forth between the First Leader (through Orb's translations) and his abductees is great, but I'm particularly fascinated with Kylstar's, erm, biology - or are petrology, geology better terms? The guy not only communicates and seems to handle his vessel by glowing various colors, but he can also reflect Captain Atom and Superman's attacks back on to them with ease.

As for the Collector, it's not long before Martian Manhunter, Flash, and Atom are jettisoned right above the city (I originally remembered thinking to myself, "wonder how hard a landing that's going to be?")

"Milburn, Edgar and Jake"
I'll admit these Monopoly-themed titles are starting to get the best of me, lol.
Anyways, yep, landing on that force field sure did hurt for Martian Manhunter, Flash, and Atom. Ouch. And right below them, Metropolis is starting to lose it, what with the looting and mass hysteria, but Black Lightning and Jim Harper are doing their best to calm everyone down.

Hidden in the Glamour, Blue Beetle learns from Zatanna that the Team he's still mulling over joining typically does covert missions. Blue also learns that not only was Zatanna a member of the Team in the days when Nightwing was the original Robin, but that Zatara (a hero Jaime does remember) is both her father and "retired." But not long after Nightwing realizes the ship isn't filled with elaborate dioramas, Alpha Squad's Glamour gets drained and the Collector ambushes them.

While Plastic Man sees the quarantined city steadily shrinking right before his eyes, he's also stuck unable to get help for Batgirl as she goes one on one against Match. Smart thinking to realize even a cloned Kryptonian has got to breathe at some point.

Kylstar's finally checked as his captives get into the teamwork-groove . . . I chuckled when they called out the "West Maneuver" - but you gotta give some credit to Kylstar's Orbs too . . .they swoop in and a little coordinated effort of their own takes out both Captain Atom and Captain Marvel.

And in the flashback to Team Year Zero, Deadshot pulls out the big guns against President Harjavti prompting Superman to get in the line of fire, and Superboy and Miss Martian left to catch the assassin. Its quick but I did like Superboy looking up at Superman, adding another motivation to pull out those Shields.

"Rolling Doubles"
The last chapter and Dick's birthday couldn't get more intense, both in Team Years Zero *and* Five.

In Team Year Five, Miss Martian's arrival gives the others on Kylstar's Vessel a chance while Sphere and Jaime (listening to the Scarab's recommendation) gets the coludroid's attention. Now knowing the Scarab's Reach origins in the show, I gotta admit the Collector's got a point - it had to be weird to see Blue Beetle defending Earth.

Bumblee's reaction was hilarious, especially after all the hard work both her and Beast Boy went through in figuring out how to disable the force field. Gotta kick out of Plastic Man's enthusiasm once the force field went down, only to peter out when learning that he's now stuck there until the city's enlarged to its full size (lucky for him he's adjustable, hehehe).

Really loved the fact that we got to see Superman and Superboy together at least one other time before New Year's Eve in Team Year Zero, and it gave Superman a chance to witness Superboy's actions as he slowly gets more and more hooked to Lex's Shields. Their interactions really helps drive the need that Superboy does need Superman in his life . . . and with Superman having finally met Connor (and not just his "Super Clone"), there's enough now to motivate the Big Guy to take his first step as a real mentor for Superboy.

In the end, what sums up the whole arc beautifully, not only for its last six issues but also for the entire second season that follows it, is the fact that the Collector could also be called the Herald of Worlds . . . dedicating to collecting cities from *doomed worlds.* The series ends with Superman only focusing on a lost opportunity to look into anything surviving from Krypton, but readers know that the Brain of Colu was just the appetizer of many bad days to come.

Second to lastly - Queen Bee and Marie Logan. I had to put the book down briefly after seeing what happened - and now knowing the date when Queen Bee takes her revenge out on Marie, I can't help but muse the thought of a hypothetical episode taking place in the first half of Team Year One. This scene alone would have made for one depressing season premiere.

"Okay. Wow. Just. Wow." Birthday kisses from Zatanna and Barbara on the same day in Team Year Zero, huh? Guess Dick's been a "dog" - juggling relationships and notably ending them all amicably (*his* superpower, lol) - since he was fourteen!

You rambled last year that you had other stories planned for the comic series, specifically a "Green Arrow, Black Canary, Artemis, Red Arrow story (set after episode 114)" and a "Marvel family story." Now I have no idea who gets to decide the schedule or how one thing may or not affect the other, but in hindsight, perhaps it was better that the show had its share of breaks . . . otherwise (considering how soon the comic ended to the show's run) I'm not sure we would have had the chance to enjoy some of the last few stories we *did* have the luxury of having.

Ultimately, consider me incredibly thankful for it all (major kudos to everyone behind the show and comic's run) and I do look forward to what's to come (which will no doubt include your upcoming set of novels for "Rain of the Ghosts").

1) What was the in-universe reason for Donna Troy and Mary Bromfield not being at the bridal shower in "Satisfaction"? As in, what reasons did they give for not being able to attend?

2) With "Endgame" airing tomorrow, I thought it fair to ask: who were the six or seven major characters you wanted to include in season 2 but didn't have enough room for? (Were Troia, Red Hood and the Marvels four of them?)

In "The Hunt", Miss Martian said that Green Beetle was able to fool her because she was afraid to probe deeper. Did Green have some reason to believe this would be the case before he ingratiated himself with the Team in "True Colors"? Since it would be logical for him to expect them to have Miss Martian scan him telepathically at some point, and if he couldn't fool her then the jig would be up immediately.

I was wondering however, if you or Brandon or any of the other writers have given a thought to continuing the story of our favorite characters in Earth-16 through novel format? I know you would probably have to go through the proper channels to even get approval for something like that, but I know myself and most of the fandom would love to get our hands on anything YJ once the show ends, especially in a written format. 2. Most of The Light's members seems to be people that have idealist beliefs so I find it interesting how Black Manta became a choice for The Light's membership, what were The Light's motives to offer him a place in their society?

3. How many villains are aware of The Light's activities? If there are, even tough they may not know The Light's motivation or plans, Are there some villians that may actually rivalize or oppose them over the fact that the may monopolize villians for some criminal activities? We've seen that The Light in fact doesn't tolerate this kind of activities when Sportsmaster attacked Intergang

4. I've seen that in some of your answers you don't seem to know too much about some modern comics, I remember that in the early stages of developement you choosed the lead characthers over around 100, some were elected based on how much screen time they had before, how they fit with the story, how they can contribute to the story, etc. I even have vague memories about some early concept art of Mary Marvel.

Did you needed to read some issues in which some of those recent characters appear to help you decide which ones will be elected or you just researched the ones that you think would be good for the show?

5. I remember that when The Batman was on air, they introduced Batgirl first in the show just because they couldn't use Robin because he was on Teen Titans, so when Teen Titans ended they in fact introduced him in the next season. There have been some cases like the fact that Superboy couldn't be named Superboy in Legion of Superheroes because Smallville was on air so they renamed Superman

With Teen Titans Go! on air now, if Young Justice were to be renewed for another season that would mean that we would have said good-bye to screentime for Nightwing, Beast Boy or Robin? or we would have never seen Starfire, Raven or Cyborg? Or Nightwing would be safe as he is counted as a different character of Robin? Would Tim Drake be safe as he is not Dick Grayson Robin or he would need to change to Red Robin?

Big fan. Loved Gargoyles as a kid and love Young Justice even though I'm almost an adult now. Hope you don't mind my questions.

1) Ok so I hear a lot of complainers about the fact that Artemis and Wally (especially Wally) are out of hero game. Now normall I'd reply with saying Wally has grown up and has decided there are more important things out there than the thrill of being a costumed hero. But then theres the hints that Artemis really does miss being in the action (as indicated by her inner monologue). So here is a question based on a theory I heard. Did either of them pressure the other into giving up hero work for college? I mean, in season 2, Artemis was pressured into changing schools, maybe she was pressured into college. Maybe she even pressured Wally into coming with her and he took it to heart.

2) I notice that Kaldur and the other Atlantians have some pretty wicked energy attacks. What about Aquaman? I never see him do any of those kinds of tricks, and in other shows all he does is talk to fish. Just wondering.

3) Ok so Dick Grayson has always been my favorite DC character (aside from Batman himself). In season one it seemed like you really used him well. However, I couldn't help but notice how h was watered down in season two. I'm not really complaining because everything happened for plot convinience, and I'd respect that but I'd like your opinion on how you executed his character development.

4) Ok so this is the most important question for me. I noticed how the heroes tended not to really keep their secret identities that secret. For example, there's Artemis. She uses her real name and is recognized by all of the villains. They even know her relations to Sportsmaster and Chessire. Doesn't that put her loved ones (like her mother and Wally's identity) at risk? Even further down, they know everything about Roy Harper (that's how they cloned him) so does that mean they know everything about Green Arrow as well? There is also the case with Blue Beetle, Lagoon Boy, Zatanna, and M'Gann. However the only one that seemed to have it come back to bite them is M'Gann. I still wonder how Lagoon Boy goes around in public without causing suspicion. And Zatanna uses her real name as well. How does she keep a low profile?
I just want to know how important the heros' secret lives are to the series and if the Villains actually take note of them?

Anyways, still a huge fan. You're show is fantastic without a doubt. I really hope that Cartoon Network changes there minds.

"Young Jusice: Invasion" is ending in a few days--way to state the obvious--and to be honest, I'm sorry to see it leave. I've looked forward to watching this show every Saturday--and then, later, Sunday--and it's become part of my weekend. I honestly never thought that I would get this attached to a show, but it appears that I was wrong.

Your show is, well, amazing. I used to watch "Gargoyles" when I was younger, and it was just...well, great. And then, when I heard that you were working on a new project, I was psyched. And I wasn't disappointed--"Young Justice" is probably one of the best DC cartoon shows that I've ever seen, and I've seen a ton.

You managed to put your own portrayal on characters that we had already seen, already knew, while making them recognizable and enjoyable. It's one thing to write characters that are of your own creation, but it's another thing entirely to write characters that are of another person's design.

Your--and Brandon's--work is just...amazing. Really. I've had yet to see an episode that I haven't liked, and I'm sure that the finale won't disappoint, either. Again, I'm sorry to see the show go, but I'm going to remain optimistic and hope that it'll come back, one day. (I'm looking forward to the finale, but--at the same time--I'm not looking forward to it. Does that make sense?)

You're assuming Wally's in the loop. He's not. Obviously, the destruction of an entire mountain in Rhode Island made the news, so Wally showed up to find out what the hell was going on! But he's not receiving a daily briefing. His job in this is to go about his life, as if he's mourning his dead girlfriend. Not, literally, running around, fighting crime.

Nightwing did not invite Kid Flash to participate until the briefing that took place just before "Summit". Obviously, as soon as Nightwing called, Wally was there.

Besides, I don't see Wally moping around on the show, saying some equivalent of "Sympathize with me! Why aren't any of you sympathizing with me?!" So I'm not sure where all this attitude towards him is coming from.

Can I just say, you sound really judgmental. I'm not sure you mean to, and I'll grant that the internet both encourages this and makes tone hard to truly decipher. But that's definitely how you come across to me. I would hope our series generates a more nuanced response.

The Earth got a second moon. Blue Beetle was on the news fraternizing with the enemy. Even if it was an under-cover operation, Wally has pretty darn strong opinions how effective those are!

He "wasn't happy" with this from the beginning. "He shouldn't need you."

Dick blew up a mountain. He had the opportunity to ask to be let into the mission, and he didn't take it.

How does "you delivered my girlfriend into the hands of someone I suddenly assume is a traitor" count as not complaining?

He is leaving her in the hands of someone he doesn't trust and doesn't even OFFER to help, even at a tactical level.

I should "kill you for putting us through this"? Of course he's not actually going to kill her, but how is that not complaining??

All of those sentences are talking about the world as something that HAPPENS to him, that other people are DOING to him, like he has no ability to contribute himself.

Before this all happened, all he wanted was to go to school and keep his girlfriend safe. This, of course, doesn't make him a monster.

After an alien invasion and again, I reiterate, the nuking of his hometown, he wants exactly - exactly - the same thing. He didn't even change in the middle of that and then go back.

If he was so eager to be there "as soon as Nightwing called" then why did he put up a fuss when Artemis was called?

I'm sorry but that smacks of a double standard.

What kind of real person doesn't change after that?

What kind of real person - particularly those who have the skills to do so - doesn't want to help?

Is he really that self-absorbed? Does he really only care about one thing worth mentioning in the show?

Real people care about more than one thing.

Real people are changed by global scale events in the world around him.

With all due respect - and I mean that I have an enormous amount of respect for Greg, Grandon, and this show - I'll be more nuanced in my reaction when Wally is more nuanced in his characterization.

After Metropolis was returned to its normal size, he grew with it, to 120% (or 125%, math has never been my strong suit). He claims he doesn't mind because he's adjustable. But did the process have any effects on him in the long term? I'm asking, because in the few shots we've had of him in season two, he's always strecthed in some way, and never in his "normal" form and size.
